Chapter 6️⃣

❤️ A Lover’s Lie ❤️

Liora’s heartbeat slammed hard in her chest, almost choking her. She wanted to rip his throat out for daring to say such vile words, wanted to slice him open from his chin to belly and watch those wicked golden eyes close forever. But no matter how hard she pulled, his grip on her sword did not loosen.

She forced herself to meet his gaze, refusing to lower her head. She noticed then just how tall he was, how he seemed to tower over her like a shadow that would swallow her whole.

“I would rather stab and bring out your black heart than ever kiss you, Erezhul,” she spat, her voice rough with hate and shaking fury. At least now she had his name, the shameless monster had told her his name.

Erezhul’s grin widened, stretching too far, showing two sharp fangs that made her blood run cold. He leaned closer, so close his warm breath brushed her cheek, and he inhaled like he was tasting her fear.

“Oh, my sweet Sunray, I love when you speak to me like that. It ma

Chapter 7️⃣❤️ Rumors ❤️Once Liora was certain that every inch of her skin had been scrubbed clean of that man’s vile touch, she climbed out of the bathtub, water dripping off her like rain drops. She dried herself quickly, ignoring the sting on her shoulder where the Obsidian Sigil mark still pulsed with an ache that refused to die down. She pulled on fresh clothes, this time a flowing gown made of deep forest green silk, with silver embroidery hugging her waist and sleeves, more fitting for a princess of Eldravayne than the training clothes she had worn, which she would burn because she is never wearing it.She tied her damp hair into a single loose braid that fell over her shoulder, the ends brushing the top of her chest. Her bare feet padded softly over the cold stone floor as she moved through her chamber, pulling open the heavy door with more force than needed. She had one thing on her mind, find Lynn. She guessed Lynn would be in the throne room; probably in a meeting with som

  • Bride Of The Shadowed Alpha   Predator’s Touch

Chapter 5️⃣❤️ Predator’s Touch ❤️Early the next morning, Liora was already awake before the first light of dawn touched the sky. She moved about her chamber quietly, bathing with water so cold it bit at her skin but cleared her mind at once.Once she had her bath and had changed her clothes, she then sat down on the floor close to her bed which faces the wall where her bed was resting. She crossed her legs and let out a long, steady breath. She summoned her wolf dragon and without a sound, the wall before her rippled like water, and a massive head pushed through it, black scales glittering faintly in the dim room. Only the head showed itself, yet even that filled the chamber.“It has been too long since we spoke this way, master,” rumbled Obsidian Sigil, voice like a distant storm."I know,” Liora said softly. She remembered well the first night she saw him, the night she had killed her father and saw the head of the wolf dragon that had come out of the wall after the mark on her sh

Chapter 4️⃣❤️ Rats in the Queen’s Pocket ❤️“Laka and Vyr.” Lynn repeated their names slowly, rolling the sound on her tongue like she was testing how it tasted. She shifted her gaze from the trembling twins back to her sister, who was standing close by, arms folded, expression as sharp as a dagger’s tip. “So, Liora, what do you think we should do with these two?”Liora didn’t even hesitate. Her voice was as cold as the ice. “Kill them,” she said plainly, shrugging one shoulder. “That way when their souls crawl back into the world next time, they’ll remember not to be stupid enough to steal from the palace again.” Her dark eyes flicked to the dining table. “My sword is not here, but trust me, sister, I can split their guts open nicely with just my spoon if you wish.”"Don't say that Ora. Look at them, they are twins, just like us, it's hard to see twins just like us and you know that."Liora rolled her eyes. Lynn reached out gently, resting her soft hand on Liora’s tense shoulder.“I

  • Bride Of The Shadowed Alpha   Intruders in Candlelight

Chapter 3️⃣❤️ Intruders in Candlelight ❤️Liora pushed open the door to her chamber and stepped inside without a glance back. She let the heavy wooden door slam shut behind her, its echo ringing through the quiet chamber. She didn’t bother to clean the blood from her sword, she just dropped it carelessly onto the floor, letting it clatter against the floor where streaks of dark red quickly stained the clean surface. She didn’t care. She never did.She immediately went to take her bath. She had always preferred cold baths. Even in the dead of winter, when the snow piled against the palace walls, she would bathe in water so cold it turned her lips blue. Killing that goblin to prove that her twin sister or she isn't weak had caused the mark on her shoulder to start hurting again. The night the mark appeared on her shoulder, she had killed her father, the mark had glowed red and was hurting her badly and it could only cool down once a cold water was placed on it. It was also that night h

  • Bride Of The Shadowed Alpha    A Lie in the Dark

Chapter 2️⃣❤️ A Lie in the Dark ❤️Lynn let out a slow, tired sigh that made the golden crown on her head seem heavier than it looked. She leaned forward a little on the throne, her calm eyes sweeping across the room full of tense, frightened clan leaders, each one pretending not to glance at the black scorch where the goblin chief’s body still smoked.“I have ruled this kingdom with peace in my heart and fairness in my hands for as long as the stars have watched us,” she began, her voice so soft yet carrying to every ear like a mother’s hush and a warning all at once. “You all know my sister’s temper, how easily her anger wakes when she feels disrespected. For that, I am truly sorry. If any harm or fear has come upon your people because of her blade, I give you my word: I will do everything within my power to make sure such a thing does not repeat itself again.”Her fingers drummed once on the throne’s armrest, gold rings catching the sunlight. She let her words sink into the bones
