Jalen’s POV

As the meeting wrapped up, we went through the final projections one last time. The numbers were… insane.

All of this from every new customer, to every spike in engagement, had grown directly out of the social media chaos Talia started. As tragic and messy as the circumstances were, the truth was simple: the companies were thriving.

I shook my head slightly. “Alright. Everything looks excellent. Any questions?”

Vlade leaned back in his chair. “Nope. But I do want to circle back to the uniforms.”

Everyone looked up.

“So,” he continued, “we got great feedback and the survey scores are high. Are we sticking with this design? Same uniforms, rotating colors every quarter? Or do we want different colors based on department?”

We went through it again: front desk in uniform color suits, food and beverage in coordinated shades, teal tops with darker green pants, forest tones, light and dark variations. Entertainment with more versatile looks, still polished, not the old shorts and

Jalen’s POVFriday morning comes fast and it's Eight a.m. on the dot.I’m standing in front of the mirror, fully dressed, staring back at a version of myself that looks calm, but I know better. Leaving Madison, Wisconsin after three days felt like ripping myself out of a safe place. That wasn’t just a getaway. That was peace. That was seclusion. That was me being able to breathe with my woman, away from the noise, away from the madness, away from her.Because back in the real world, Talia has gone completely off the rails.Every nude I ever took. Every picture she ever took of me. Every AI-generated version she could manipulate. Every social media platform known to man. Instagram. TikTok. Twitter. Facebook. Even the shit I forgot still existed, a photo of my manhood was posted for all to see.Now my DMs are flooded.Women smirk when I walk past them in the city. Men message me like we’re old friends trying to “connect.” She put me on Tinder. Bumble. Hinge. Every dating app imaginable

Aria’s POVBy the time Jalen and I finish visiting with the baby and laughing with Nia and her family, my body finally starts to feel the weight of the day. I let out a tired sigh and glance at Nia.“Well, I’m a little tired, girl, and it’s almost midnight. We’ll come see baby Veronica in the morning.”She yawns wide and points at me. “You better.”I smile, then look over at Matt. “We’re going to your house, okay? And your kids are still with your in-laws?”He nods. “Yeah, they’ll be home tomorrow. They can’t wait to see you, Un-tee.”I chuckle. “Maybe we’ll bring breakfast. I’ll cook for you guys.”Matt lights up immediately. “Ooooh, please cook for us. Please. Please.”I shake my head, laughing, and glance over at Jalen. “See what I just started?”He grins. “Yeah, I want her to cook for me too. She hasn’t really been feeling that great since, you know… the pregnancy.”Matt freezes. “Wait, what pregnancy?”I blink. “Your wife didn’t tell you?”He turns slowly toward Nia. “You didn’t

Aria’s POVWe’re all packed into Nia’s birthing suite, the room warm and buzzing with laughter, nerves, and that electric kind of anticipation that only comes when a life is about to enter the world. Nia is laid back against the bed, breathing through another contraction like a champ, cracking jokes in between like she always does. The nurse comes in again to check her, and as she finishes up, I lean forward with a grin.“Hey, girl, I gotta ask you something.”Nia looks at me sideways. “What’s up?”“How come I haven’t seen your doctor yet?”She laughs immediately, shaking her head. “Okay, since this is, or will be, your first baby, let me give you a little heads-up.”I listen closely as she continues. “When you’re in labor, unless something serious is going on, you barely see your doctor. They check you when you first get here, maybe pop in to see if it’s time for the epidural, check your dilation, and if everything’s good? You probably won’t see them again until it’s time to push.”I

Third-Person POVAs the days moved on through the week, chaos erupted around all of them.Every morning Aria went to work without being ambushed by reporters, but she noticed something else instead, Talia. Like clockwork, Talia sat in the parking lot from early morning until the end of the workday. And every single time, she missed Aria. The reason was simple.Aria was driving a late model sedan, an older Toyota, fully intentional. Not flashy. Not luxury. Just a clean, strategic car that blended in, the kind of vehicle you’d expect an Uber driver to use. No one ever thought to look twice at it, especially not someone obsessed with appearances. And every time Aria passed by, Talia never noticed her.At home, Jalen was always there. He hadn’t gone back to his house once.It wasn’t by choice, it was for survival. Every time he pulled up to the gate of his gated community, reporters were camped outside. Cameras. Microphones. And Talia. Always Talia. It was insane. Somehow she managed to

ARIA’S POVAs I finished out my workday, I realized it had been surprisingly calm. No drama. Just a regular day. Vlade had come in with a few new potential clients, and we spent most of the afternoon working through the homeless team initiatives. I also made solid progress on Hunter’s project, knowing we have to get everything finalized for the upcoming gala.I had the list of children completed. The donors were confirmed. Most of the gifts were already organized and scheduled to be sent to the warehouse so they could be wrapped and prepared for pickup. It was shaping up to be an amazing event.I sighed as I shut everything down for the day, packed my briefcase, grabbed my phone, and stood up from my desk. Even that phone call from Talia earlier didn’t bother me. I was ready for her and whatever she thought she was going to try.I slipped on my jacket, grabbed my purse and briefcase, and walked out of my office. The building was nearly empty. I glanced at my watch and shook my head.
