Lorcan Judson

“With this, the mysterious uni adventure came to an end.” Amara declared, feigning a sad look.

“Too bad it ended too soon.” Orlo plays along, on the verge of clinging to Amara like they have been besties for eras.

“What’s next?” Verena asks, the sparkle in her eyes seeming to go down a bit.

I narrow my eyes. Did something happen? That cheerful, over-vampire-enthusiastic girl seems a bit down. If I am not wrong, her mood has swung that way since our visit to the abandoned building. Hah…A deep breath finds its way out of my system. One more reason to sift through the area.

“You okay?” I whisper, moving to her side.

“Yeah. I am.” Verena offers a fake smile.

“You clearly aren’t.” I cross, gently holding her arm to slow her down. “You have been like this since exiting from the abandoned building.”

“You are reading too much into things.” Verena shoots me an annoyed look and shrugs her arm.

This means I am proceeding in the right direction.

“In a right way, no?” I grip h

Verena Layton“Yo gurl~” I coo, putting on my earbuds.. “Hehe…I knew you would be awake at this hour, Ms Layton.” Amara from the other side grins. It's almost 1 am, and here I am Facetiming with my bestie while applying nail polish on my super short nails. “Face mask now? Really?” Amara shakes her head as if I committed the greatest sin of the century.“Look who is talking.” I scoff, watching her remove her transparent facemask off her face. “That makes two of us.” She cackles, putting some moisturiser on her fingers. “Don’t let Julia catch us.” I wink at her, putting my finger on my lips. “No way.” She chuckles. “We are dead if she finds us chatting late at night.” Her voice drops to a whisper. “You better close your doors and windows and turn off the light.” I laugh, throwing my head back. “Julia doesn’t live near me, love.” “Right.” She sighs, applying moisturiser to her face. “I am in trouble then.” She acts as if she is checking around. “I mark myself as safe.”I giggle. “

Warning: Mention of killing and deathLorcan JudsonAs the night rolls on, I am standing on the roof of one of the buildings in the city. “Hmm…” I look around. Well, I am not standing on any random building, but the establishment that would give me a clear view of the dark alleys where cold crimes disappear in the darkness and vanish in the light. I see gang members lurking here and there, which doesn’t interest me even a bit. Because my prey isn’t these gangsters who think walking with a mere gun will make them predators. I guess my prey isn’t a small fish but the bigger fish in the ocean. Time to hunt in shark mode. I jump down from the building and blend with the shadows. Tch! It stinks, man! As expected for the dark alley. I walk through it. The air smells like death itself here. Suddenly, a familiar roar of laughter reaches my ear. My ears perk up. It's the bonehead. A slow smirk creeps up my lips. Time to add spice to this hunting game. Thanks to my inhumane speed, I am in

Lorcan Judson“What's up with the patch, brother?” Orlo inquires, swinging his hands as he walks beside me. “You know.” I side-glance at him, not giving him the attention he needs to poke me with his teasing. “I know.” He nods. “But I don't know why you need this.”“That stupid human did this,” I reply something which is so unlike me and is obvious as daylight. “And you're not gonna remove it?” Orlo waggles his eyebrows. “No.”“Since when do vampires need bandages to heal their wounds?” He stretches his hands like a cat and cracks his knuckles as his voice turns to the well-known teasing tone.“You little brat, do you want me to heal myself and then blow off my cover that I am a vampire?” I look at him, trying to maintain a poker face as Verena's caring face keeps pricking my mind whenever I think of my bandage. “That is the only reason for keeping that bandage on, right?” Orlo grins mischievously. “What other reason could there be?” I question back. “Who knows?” Orlo shrugs, s

Lorcan Judson“Oh brother, you guys are taking forever to come out.” Orlo bursts in followed by Dylan and the two humans whom Verena refers to as friends. “Is something interesting going on?” This blockhead. I wanna smack his head hard enough to erase that mischievous grin on his face. Dylan hits him with the shoulder, earning a glare from my idiot of a brother but the older, as usual, keeps his poker face. “You are injured?” Julia's voice reverberates, slow and calculated. Her eyes are glued to Verena's finger. She did manage to notice such minute details about her friend. Out of these three humans, Julia intrigues me. Not like a prey. Not like an interest. But something like a fellow predator. She gives off the warning vibe of a predator whose territory is entered by another hunter. My vampire instincts alarm me not to mess with her, more specifically her ‘friends’.And I do have zero interest in poking my nose into others' business. I am not free enough to entertain humans.

  • Burning In His Crimson Love   Chapter 17: I am not different than a man!

Verena LaytonI squirm. I open my eyes. An unfamiliar ceiling welcomes me. It's not my room. Is it a hospital? I do not remember…Shit! I was in the infirmary with Lorcan. I almost jolt to sit up, propping my body on my right elbow.“Easy, little human.” Lorcan sings. “We don't want you to faint again due to orthostatic hypotension, do we?”I blink and look up, overhead.Lorcan is sitting near my head. If I had moved my head two inches up, I would have been using his thigh as my pillow. I freeze. How did I end up in this situation? The current setup indicates what I am thinking: I fainted. But why? I cannot seem to remember. All I remember is that I injured my finger due to my carelessness, and Lorcan came running to my aid. After that, it's blank. Something major is missing. Did I faint after that?“Wanna touch it?” Lorcan's voice brings me back to reality.“Touch what?” My head shoots up. “My thigh.” He smirks. “You were staring, no, ogling at it.”My eyes widen. Darn it! Was I
