Forty-nine
Mila and Emma walked inside the apartment complex. Mila was still surprised by Emma's outburst, but she was proud of her best friend for standing up for herself. Emma was a bit shocked of her reaction, but she has had enough of her parents' control and she wanted nothing but to free herself from their prison.
"Are you okay?" Mila asked her as they stood in front of the apartment’s door.
"Yeah." Emma smiled at Mila.
Mila opened the door and the two of them walked inside. Emma's eyes lit up immediately once she saw the nice gesture the girls did for her. In front of her, there were some letters hung on the wall that spelled "welcome home Emma". She saw Leila, Julie, and Blake sitting on the couch; of course, Hannah was nowhere to be seen.

It had been ten days since Emma moved in with Mila and the other girls. Everything has been going well for her and she has even changed her major. I was furious, I attempted to do my best to control my anger, but that was probably an impossible idea. I would not say that I was in disbelief that Hannah did something like that. "I love it!" Emma beamed as she looked around the apartment. Mila called her and told her that she found a very good apartment for a reasonable price so the two girls went to check it together.The apartment was really cozy and warm and they both seemed to love it. The entrance of the kitchen was on the right once you open the front door while its counter faced the living room and it had three kitchen chairs. The living room was in front of the kitchen. Its size was good, enough to fit a small dining table on the far left and a dark blue L-shaped couch with a coffee table in the middle while the TV was against the wall with a short long black table beneath it. On passing the kitchen, there was a hall. The first door on the right was for the laundry room, then there was the door of one of the bedrooms and the other one was right across it. The two bedrooms had bathrooms, but one of them was connected to the main bathroom of the apartment."Should we sign the contract?"

Mila was in the living room, working on a project she needed to finish. When she heard the door being unlocked, she looked up and was in complete surprise when she saw Hannah walking in with Emma. Christmas and New Year were amazing. I had a great time with Emma and my parents and of course, Blake. Sadly, Hannah, Julie, and Leila were not in Seattle to spend some time with me and my family, but I was happy that they enjoyed their time in their hometowns; we shared lots of pictures on our group chat on WhatsApp.Luckily, Blake was already from Seattle which made it easy for me to spend some time with him. I invited him and his mum for dinner on December 26th and everything was perfect. Once Emma passed out, Aaron quickly carried her small body between his muscular arms and laid her carefully on the hospital seats. A nurse saw what happened so she asked Aaron to take her to the emergency room. Aaron picked her up again without any struggle and rushed to the emergency room.
