Ivory's POV

Hours had passed since we took off in Tristan's private jet. Boredom started to settle in from just sitting there. I glanced over at him, immersed in his laptop, seemingly oblivious to my restlessness. I watched him captivated by his focus.

"What's up, Ivory?" he asked, catching me staring.

"Nothing," I replied, but he pressed on.

"You can talk to me about anything bothering you." he encouraged, his tone warm.

Curiosity piqued my interest. "What do you actually do?"

"Do you really want to know what I do?" he shot back, raising an eyebrow with a hint of amusement.

"Yes," I answered, eager to know.

"Okay," he began, his voice turning serious "I'm a mafia leader. I deal with drugs, ammunition, meetings, and casinos. I run a black empire. I juggle a lot of work, you know?" He paused, clearly impressed.

Wow, this guy is a workaholic, I thought to myself. "Okay," I said, processing his words.

I let out a yawn, only to feel the chair shift backwards unexpectedly, making me pa

Tristan's POV"Ivory, aren't you ready yet?" I called out, glancing over at Liam in the living room."Remember, the Vegas operation is in your hands. If you see anything off, call Elijah right away, I don't want any mistakes." I warned, my tone firm"Got it, boss," he replied, nodding. A short while later, Ivory emerged from the room."Have a wonderful trip, Mr. and Mrs. Black," Liam said, bowing slightly."Thanks," I responded, and Ivory gave him a shy smile. We headed out, with Liam following behind, carrying our bags. Once we reached the car, Liam stowed our luggage in the trunk. I opened the door for Ivory, then climbed in beside her. After a few hours, we arrived at the airport. I helped Ivory out of the car, with Liam right beside us. As we settled into our seats on the flight, I heard Liam say, "Bye, Mr. and Mrs. Black," just before takeoff.Several hours later, we touched down in New York City. I assisted Ivory off the plane. Ivory's POVTristan and I strolled along the shore, our fingers entwined. The ocean stretched out, vast and gray, its waves splashing against our skin, a cool contrast to the warmth of his grip. I giggled, feeling carefree, as the cool water brushed my legs." Do you like it?" he asked, a playful smile on his face."Yeah," I replied, still chuckling. "Tell me about your childhood, how much fun you had while growing up ?" He then asked suddenly. At that moment, I felt my body shocked, and tension crept into my body as memories I wasn't ready to share surfaced. "What's wrong?" he inquired noticing my change, concern filling his voice."It's fine," he reassured me, trying to brush it off. He pulled me closer, wrapping his arms around me. "If you're not ready to share, that's okay. Just know I'll always be here for you," he said gently, kissing my forehead. "Thank you," I whispered, feeling a warmth spread through me. He kissed my forehead again, "Come on, it's getting late," he said

Ivory's POVI opened my eyes to find the room dimming, darkness settling in. Tristan had stayed home today. He had been right there with me throughout the day; I remembered how he offered comfort, even when my mind spiraled with worries about the baby, he was there. His words of support lingered in my mind. I couldn't help but giggle, wondering if it was just the pregnancy hormones messing with me."Hey, Elijah. How's everything?" I heard his voice, and a twinge of sadness hit me. I felt guilty knowing I had kept him from going to work today. Just then, the door swung open, and Tristan stepped in."Ivory, you're awake!" he said, looking tired as he walked closer. "I was just about to wake you up.""I just woke up," I replied. He settled beside me on the bed, pulling me against his chest."Feeling better?" he asked gently."Yeah," I nodded."That's good," he said, running his finger through my long hair, his touch soothing. "Seeing you like this really breaks my heart. I hope you feel

Tristan's POV"Good morning, Mr. Black. So glad to see you!" Dr. Clarke greeted with a warm smile."Yeah," I replied, glancing at Ivory, who sat next to me. "This is Ivory, my wife. We're here for a pregnancy test.""Oh!" Her eyes widened in surprise. "Okay, Mrs. Black, please follow me for some tests."I noticed Ivory's nervousness. Her palm was sweaty, so I reached for her hand and squeezed it gently. "It'll be fine," I reassured her. She managed a small smile and stood to follow Dr. Clarke.A little while later, Ivory returned, adjusting her clothes. She sat back down next to me, still looking anxious. I turned to her. "Ivory, what's wrong?" I asked, wrapping my arm around her."Nothing," she said, nodding her head. Just as I was about to speak again, Dr. Clarke walked in.She sat at her desk, looked at us, and said, "The test results are in." Her gaze was serious. "Mr. and Mrs. Black, congratulations! Your wife is two weeks pregnant." She smiled brightly.Looking at Ivory, Dr. Cla

Tristan's POVMy grip clenched tight on the steering wheel as frustration coursed through me. I had apologized to Ivory, genuinely apologized, but she still wouldn't budge. My anger simmered. When I told Elijah everything, he just laughed. "Let her be," he said. "She needs time. She'll come around."She'd better come around. If she ever thought for a second I'd let her leave, she was wrong. That was a lie. I didn't care what it cost, even if I had to act more aggressively to keep her, as long as she stayed. The thought of going home, knowing she wouldn't even look at me, made my jaw clench. I had no idea what to do to fix this.I wrestled the car into the garage. The tires screeched. I killed the engine, opened the door, and stomped inside. Then I saw her. Ivory, crumpled on the floor. She was sobbing, hard. My anger flared even more. Had something happened to her? Did someone hurt her? I rushed to her. "Ivory!" I pulled her up, holding her body in place. "What happened? What's wrong
