The silence in Liam’s private suite was more deafening than any scream.

He stood motionless in front of the wide monitor, eyes locked on the flashing red alert that now pulsed across the top right corner of the screen:

“Primary Tracker: Offline. Signal Disconnected.”

For an entire minute, he didn’t move. Didn’t blink.

Then slowly—calmly—he inhaled through his nose and whispered to himself.

“So… they found the one in her neck.”

There was no panic. No yelling. Just a slow, simmering shift in his eyes—a storm swirling beneath cold, calculated silence. He walked over to the console, fingers hovering above the panel, and entered the override code for his deeper GPS access. His backup plan.

The screen flickered.

Then—beep.

Tracker #2: ACTIVE. Location pinged.

Tracker #3: ACTIVE. Biometric readings stable.

A smirk twitched at the corner of his mouth.

“You really thought one chip would be enough, didn’t you, my love?” he murmured. “Oh, Elizabeth. You still don’t understand me at all.”

He walk

Liam’s povThe moment the second tracker blinked alive, I knew she was close. They thought they could rip out the one I placed in her neck and I’d be blind?Idiots. They didn’t know me at all. There were three others. Hidden. Beneath her skin. One between her thighs. One under her rib. And one—my favorite—resting softly beneath her left breast. Only I knew the patterns of her body well enough to place them. Only I was close enough to get that intimate. It lit up the screen like a pulse. They moved her.A new building, on the outskirts of the city. Hidden beneath the cloak of silence and wealth. An old estate converted into some underground fortress, with guards who didn’t speak and doors that locked from the outside. She was inside. And they were going to pay for every second she was there.I drove without blinking, without breathing. The rage in me wasn’t loud—it was cold. Controlled. I didn’t scream. I didn’t growl. I didn’t slam my fist into the wheel like in the movies.I just dro

The cold bit into her skin as Elizabeth sat slumped on the floor, her wrists tied behind her, her ankles shackled. The air in the room was damp, metallic, and still. A faint humming echoed through the stone walls, the sound of machinery somewhere beyond her reach. The only source of light came from a single bulb overhead, casting her shadow long and lonely against the cracked concrete. Her breathing was uneven. Shallow. Each inhale came with a slight tremor. Her body still bore the marks from days of captivity—scratches, bruises, the faint purple band of where a collar had once clung to her neck. She didn’t know how long she’d been here. Hours. Maybe days. Time didn’t move the same way when you weren’t free. Then she heard it—the sound of metal clicking from outside the door. Her head jerked up.Footsteps.Two sets. She tensed, her back straightening despite the ache that rippled through her spine. The door creaked open slowly, letting in a shaft of hallway light that pierced the dimn

The room reeked of rust and something faintly sour. The air was damp and cold, wrapping itself around Elizabeth’s skin like a second, unwelcome layer. Her wrists were sore—rubbed raw from the restraints—and her muscles ached with a familiar exhaustion. She didn’t cry. She didn’t scream. She simply stared at the ground, unmoving, a hollow shell waiting to be filled by something other than dread. Then came the sound.Click.The door opened. Her head snapped up, eyes wide. Two women entered—tall, identical in their black clothing from neck to ankle. Pale faces. Hair pulled back in tight buns. Their footsteps didn’t echo, and they didn’t speak. They moved with precision, like shadows cut from silence. One of them reached for the restraints while the other moved to support Elizabeth’s arms.“Wait—” she whispered, but they didn’t wait. The ropes slipped from her wrists. Pain prickled as blood rushed back to her fingers. She barely had a second before she was hauled to her feet.“Where are y

The air inside the darkened estate was still, heavy with the scent of aged wood and faint perfume. The windows were shuttered, cloaking the grand halls in an eerie silence. Deep beneath the structure, beyond the main rooms and hidden corridors, was a basement-level suite that no ordinary guest would ever find.Inside that locked chamber, Elizabeth sat unmoving, tied to a steel chair in the center of the room, dimly lit by a single overhead bulb that flickered every few seconds. Her face was pale. Her lips, dry and trembling. Dried tears crusted her lashes. She hadn’t spoken in hours.Because she was no longer afraid. She was numb. The door at the far end of the room creaked open, the heavy sound of boots thudding slowly against concrete. Not rushed. Not nervous. Each step deliberate—like a man approaching something he already owned. The masked man.He stepped forward out of the shadow. His tall frame covered in all black, from the turtleneck to his gloves. But the most haunting thing

  • CAGED IN HIS OBSESSION    Chapter 28

Elizabeth POV My eyes opened slowly.Darkness. That was the first thing I noticed. Pure, suffocating darkness. The air was cold—stale—and something sharp was digging into my wrist.I tried to move, but the second I shifted, pain shot through my arms. My wrists were bound—tightly—rough rope biting into my skin. My ankles, too. Tied to the legs of what felt like a wooden chair. My back was sore. My head, pounding. What happened? My breath hitched. My mind scrambled back—back to the car, the stranger, the sunglasses, the voice whispering “Goodnight sweetheart.”The cloth. The smell. The spinning. I’d blacked out.And now—Now I was here. Wherever here was.A low humming sound echoed from somewhere above me. Machinery? A vent? I couldn’t tell. I tried to focus, to adjust to the pitch-black surroundings, but I couldn’t make anything out. Just the faint scent of gasoline and dust and—Blood. My heart raced.I was alone, but I didn’t dare scream. What if someone was watching? Waiting? What
