Chapter 7 - Too Good to be true

Chapter 7

Kelly felt good after the conversation that she had with Dante , or she could tell that a lot was waiting on him and he was feeling guilty about a lot of things don't they had gone through an awakening of some sort because he had done something wrong and what he had done had caused everyone to turn their backs on him it's a full Kelly who didn't turn her back on him.

Dante had feelings for Cleo Massa , when he admitted to having feelings for her , it was right about the time that Kelly was ready to tell him how she really felt about him and that she had feelings that ran deep for him regardless of what was going on in his life . She wanted to tell him so many times how she felt but she couldn't find the words and the encounter that she had with him but something that they promised themselves to keep secret and matter how rough things were together no matter how bad things would get that always keep their secrets secret from the people that they were dating and the people that they had broken up with even when Dante came through with breakfast she knew that he needed to talk by the way he looked because he looked a bit stressed and he looked a bit deflated for somebody who had so much charisma and was in general not a mysterious person but the very sensitive guy she knew that from the onset .

Kelly and Dante had been friends for a very long time , and he was at a point where she needed to forget what had happened the day before and just go chill with her friend at a party that he was hosting and he hadn't waited only a couple of close friends that she knew about but she had a feeling that he was keeping something from her unless he was inviting other people that she knew. She needed to change from the person that you asked to something totally different and she needed to do her hair if you didn't feel like going out and seeing people but she knew how to handle her hair and we do her hair properly she I had a weave on and she needed to be a totally transparent person when she went out the door so what she decided to do was remove her weave that was blond , unplait her cornrows , wash blowdry and straighten her hair .

She had to pick an outfit out for the evening and from the time that Dante had left she knew that you have three hours to do everything that you needed to do and totally transform herself into someone totally different not even the people that you have would recognise her. It was cold outside and she needed to dress warmly but elegantly so that she could look well put-together where she wasn't going to be a problem because she wasn't wearing a dress . She wanted to go back to what she used to wear before she met Cody and that was a simple pair of dark blue jeans , a white crew neck sweater paired up with a black leather jacket and sneakers. She had tied her hair back into a ponytail so that she could coil it into a bun but that wasn't going to happen because she was already running late . She had left her phone downstairs by the kitchen counter and by the time she got to her phone she had received three missed calls from Dante. She called him as she was making her way out .

"Hey buddy I'm running fashionably late so I'll be there in 15 minutes. I'm sorry I just lost track of time. I was getting ready. I don't look like I usually do so if you don't recognise me I won't blame you but I'm on my way . "

" I was actually coming to get you because you're normally late but you're never this late. You're never an hour late. It's probably 30 or 40 minutes late but never an hour is everything okay. Have you changed your mind about coming to the party?"

"No I haven't changed my mind about coming to the party and I just didn't want to look not well put together so I had to look well put together and I needed to look like I wasn't going through a hard time which is what I'm going through right now but I'll get over it tonight I just want to have fun and forget that I'm going through a breakup. "

" Are you still in the house or are you walking out because if you're still in the house then I'm coming to get you and I'm gonna tell you to hang tight because you gonna be staying there for at least another hour but if you are headed out then I will see you in 15 minutes."

" I'm actually closing the front door so I should be there in 15 minutes I'll promise I'll be around time why you so adamant didn't make it on time to go and write somebody that I know or is there somebody there that wants to see me and if it's the latter then I'm going to call you sneaky."

"Just get yourself to my house I've got a friend visiting and I would really love to introduce you to my friend but you're not here on time so when you get here please just make sure that I see you which wouldn't be hard because I've got security four days I'll know when you arrive."

" It is cold outside. I don't know why I am out of my bed going to your party, however I better wake up warm tomorrow morning and not freeze cold next to someone that I don't even know so just hang tight I'm on my way."

" Before I forget don't bring anything everything is provided for you just need to bring yourself and make sure that you've got your phone with you so that I can actually take it down in case if you get lost because you haven't been home in a while and before I forget please give my friend a chance because he too has gone through already horrendous breakup and if I would break you but I think you could make a perfect match. "

" I'm down for anything."

"See you soon . "

Dante hung up and turned to look at Aiden.

" Thank you for telling her that I wasn't here and thank you for setting this whole thing up and I really want to see her again. There's something special about and there's something about her that just makes me want to buy myself in a not so fake way."

"You're lucky you're not well known here and I would have said it out even though you are well-known and I would have made sure that there was no present there was no public attention and it's a pity that your cousin couldn't make it because he called me asking me if I had seen Kelly and I told him I did and that he should give her time however you somehow convinced him to drive down here in this case somebody drive you down here which is a good thing because it's a long drive . "

" Just so we're clear she loves roses and chocolates because I don't want to be too cliche and I don't want to give her stuff that she doesn't like because you misinformed me."

"She loves roses preferably short stem and you got her the red roses which is a good thing so she'll understand that it's the thought that counts you on the other hand look like you're nervous it looks like you're going on a first date and it's not the first time that you're going on a first date the last time I saw you like this you were getting married and I was your best man and I'm not gonna tell her that I was your best man because I was going out with someone who now doesn't want anything to do with me and has taken my daughter away from me by the help of someone that I still hate to this day."

"I can't thank you enough for the information that you gave me. I do want to make Kelly a permanent part of my world but I'm gonna have to do it in such a way that she doesn't know that I'm involved in any of this."

"As far as she knows I'm introducing her to a friend that is visiting and I didn't tell her that it was you although I wish you would have called her so that you could die that you will coming through because she's not one surprises and she does know that something's up but she's not letting it slip that she knows that I'm up to something however she's willing to roll with the punches."

" I will be a gentleman and you know that if I need to get things done I do get them down so thank you for being such a great friend and doing what I asked you to do because if it wasn't for you I wouldn't be hanging out with Kelly Black."

" You better behave yourself because I'm the only one who can make your life miserable and you know that so please do behave yourself."

" I will be on my best behavior."

" While you are waiting let me introduce you to a couple of the guys and girls ."

As they were making their way downstairs Aiden thought he had recognised a model he had gone out with but broke things off because it wasn't working out . Before he could ignore her she called out his name.

" Oh my word Aiden. "

" Nikki? "

She ran to him to give him a hug and just as Kelly made her grand entrance making everyone who knew her stop and stare ,Nikki kissed Aiden. Both Kelly and Aiden recognised each other but Aiden was distracted by Nikki .

Dante ran to Kelly to go get her a hug and she was right nobody would recognise her but the one person recognised her was taken or so she thought and she decided to not pay any attention to what she had seen and witnessed but just be there for her friend which is what she promised she would do and probably meet the guy Dante wanted to introduce her to. She now knew that anything that Aiden said or claimed to be was too good to be true.
