Noah's POV.

Mirabelle quietly got into the backseat of my car after my driver had passed my orders down to her.

She remained silent with a blank expression and lifeless eyes. A sharp pain shot through my chest, aware that the Mira seated next to me was nothing like the cheerful Mira I had known.

She didn't even bother to know who called her and this is all because of that dickhead she called a husband!

I was annoyed, very furious at that but I tried to be calm, steadying my emotions like I had always done, before speaking up.

"You seem lost in thoughts... Don't you want to know why I called you here?"

Her body stiffened, her brows creased into deep lines before she whipped her head towards my direction, and her jaw instantly dropped open.

I chuckled at her cute reaction, knowing fully well that she was stunned to see a striking replica of Ken sitting next to her.

The only difference that can be marked out between me and that asshole is that he has a pair of brown orbs then every other feature, physique, and tone we have are alike.

"You?!" She gasped out loud.

I saw her balling her fist adorably, looking like an angry little bird as she glared at me while gritting her teeth.

I'm sure she's mad at me. She has every reason and right to be angry due to what happened last night.

But it was for her good and betterment cause if I had not come in then it would have turned out worse than what is currently happening.

"Yes, it's me," I said to her, and her face turned a shade of red, so I tried to calm her temper.

"I know you must be mad at me and might also feel the need to kill me, to vent your anger. But... before you end my existence, you should at least know the truth before sending this handsome man to his early grave, don't you think so?" I asked her with a smug smile hanging at the corner of my lip.

Without warning, she unexpectedly jumped on me and wrapped her fingers around my neck to choke me to death, but my smile remained because her strength seemed like that of a cute little puppy.

"Shut the hell up, you dumbass! You ruined my life but you expect me to listen to you? How dare you take advantage of me while I was intoxicated and be so calm about it? I feel like killing you right away!"

"Kill me then."

"What?"

Finding her whole reactions and expression amusing, I couldn't help but add some more spice to see how far the entertainment could go.

"You look so cute and seductive while on me but tch! I guess you don't realize how intimately close we are right now, kitten. All you want to do is to send this dude to his early grave even before knowing the truth. It isn't fair, kitten." A side of my lip playfully fell in sadness.

"What truth?" She demanded, ignoring every other word I said about our current position.

I momentarily shut my eyes, letting out a gruff sigh as I pinched the bridge of my nose lightly.

It's about time she knows why I took that step last night.

"They paid a pimp to take advantage of you so they could have evidence of you cheating. That way, divorcing and kicking you out becomes easier for them. But as the kind-hearted man that I am, I didn't let that happen. Coming to your rescue as a knight in shining armor," I pouted my lip.

I don't know why but I find it fun to act childish around her.

"Here's the video clip I got 'cause I know you'd refuse to believe me."

I gave my phone to her, and she yanked it from me and then settled down in the space next to me.

A gush of cool breeze from the air conditioner in the car hit me once she left, making me miss how dominantly she had sat on me and how warm she made me feel. Sigh...

My eyes darted to her flawless, gorgeous face, her brows knotting together, and her expression gradually turned cold while watching the video clip.

"I can't believe Ken and Mitchelle would plot such a disgusting act just to kick me out. To tarnish my image." Her voice broke down like she was heartbroken to find out the truth, but her eyes burned like wildfire.

"They dared to take everything from me, called me a whore, and also threw me out of my home after making me feel bad, thinking last night was unplanned; meanwhile, they were the ones behind it!"

She squeezed the phone angrily as her face turned dark and her eyes full of determination.

"I must make them pay and take back everything they took from me at any cost! I don't mind how long it might take but I swear they will regret this day!" She swore boldly.

A pleased grin formed on my lip. This is exactly what I wanted, what I needed to see from Mira before proposing anything to her.

"I can help you with that."

Her gaze shot in my direction suspiciously. I gave her a slight nod with a reassuring smile.

"All you need to do is to sign these.." I tell her as I pass some documents to her.

"It's a marriage contract, Mirabelle Estella Davies. Be my wife and I promise to help you get revenge on everyone who has ever wronged you." I proposed to her, and she gave me a doubtful look for a few seconds, but I didn't waver.

I maintained the same energy, my eyes fixed into hers to show her how genuine my proposal was and she slowly accepted the paper. I also passed a pen to her.

Unlike Ken, who had forced her into signing the divorce papers from what I saw in the footage I got on my phone.

This time around, Mira willingly signed the pages of the marriage documents, making herself my lovely wife.

Morgana's POV: FIVE YEARS LATER……… “Noah!” I called out, tying my hair back with a band. Where could he be? Suddenly, I bumped into someone. Looking up, I saw it was the cook in her white apron and cap. Sighing deeply, I asked, “Where is he? Please tell me you found him.” “I couldn’t find him, Ma'am,” She replied, her head hung low. “This house is huge; he could be anywhere. I had the maids search everywhere for him. We’ll find him soon, I promise.” “I hope so, Lola. Xavier is on his way back, and he hates it when his rest is disturbed.” “Don’t worry, ma'am. We’ll definitely find him before Sir returns, trust me…” “I found him!” Someone called out, and we hurried toward the voice. We entered the library and saw a maid standing by the door. “Where is he?” I asked. “Behind the third shelf,” She replied curtly. “You both can leave now,” I instructed. “And please shut the door behind you.” I moved behind the third shelf to find my sweet pie crouched down, his head hanging

Morgana's POV: I picked up the envelope and started to open it. "What is this? Is it some kind of petition or something?" I asked, still struggling with the seal. “Divorce papers!” He replied and my hands froze in the air. “Y-you are kidding right?” “Do I look like I came all the way here to joke?” He asked, sounding all serious and impatient. Tears filled my eyes as I looked at the man I called my husband. “Why are you doing this to me, Simon? What have I ever done to you to deserve this?” “Honestly, I can’t believe you’re asking me this right now,” He began. “Marilyn is stuck in a wheelchair for God knows how long, and she has a severe brain injury that I can only pray she recovers from. And you're asking me what you've done to deserve this when you actually deserve more!” “So this is all because of Marilyn huh?” I asked, staring deeply at him. “I am telling you I didn't push her off the fucking stairs. She fell while trying to push me down.” “Why should I believe you?” He s

Morgana's POV:The doors were suddenly pushed open and I shut my eyes instinctively. I could hear approaching footsteps, but I continued to feign sleep. “She is still asleep.” I heard a male voice say.“What could be wrong with her?” A familiar female voice asked. “She's pregnant.” The man replied, my eyes flung open when I heard his words.‘How? When?’It finally dawned on me, the night Marilyn's divorce was announced in the news and she had contacted Simon for emotional support. He came back home extremely happy and drunk, and that night we had sex for the very first time. The next morning when he woke up he hated me more, he claimed that I took advantage of his drunken state to have my way with him.How did that one night together result in pregnancy?‘Simon needs to know about this, he will come for me the moment he finds out that I am pregnant with his child.’ I thought.“She is awake.” I heard a male voice announce. Morgana's POV: “You are under arrest for attempting to murder Miss. Marilyn Pearce.” Agent Cooper began. ‘Attempted murder? Under arrest?’ My mind suddenly began to race. “Simon, are you aware of this?” I asked turning to face him, there was absolutely no way he would allow these men take me in. This was obviously one of Marilyn's schemes. “All your questions will be answered in court, Mrs. Langston.” Agent Cooper said coldly. “You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law. You have the right to an attorney, if you cannot afford one, an attorney will be provided for you.” He said, as he moved in to cuff me. “She tried to push me, I moved away and she fell, that's all!” I protested, crying bitterly. “I suggest you cooperate, Mrs Morgana, or you might lose any chance of getting an attorney.” Agent Carter cautioned. And just like that, I was handcuffed and dragged to the police car while my husband stood there starin

CHAPTER One Hundred and Eighteen. Noah's POV. The early morning light filtered through the curtains, painting the room in soft hues of gold. I lay on my side, watching her sleep, Mirabelle. My wife. The woman who had somehow managed to drive me to the brink of madness and still make me fall head over heels for her every single day. Her dark lashes fanned against her cheeks, her breathing soft and even. There was a slight flush to her skin, her lips parted enough for me to see that faintest smile tugging at the corners. She looked so peaceful, so beautiful. My chest tightened as I took her in, my heart swelling with emotions that I still couldn't quite put into words. I couldn't help but smile, it has been a year since everything–since the chaos that Natasha had unleashed on our lives. A year since we’d nearly lost everything. But now?
