Chapter 10: Meet Again

Did this man truly love Scarlett? Vivienne suddenly wondered, but then she chuckled and thought, regardless of whether he did or not, it had nothing to do with her.

At the moment, she had her own problems to deal with, and they were giving her a headache.

Suddenly, someone spoke up, "By the way, I heard that the Four Seas Corporation is going to participate in our school's career fair. Is it true?"

Immediately, someone replied, "It should be true. I heard the dean mention it when I visited his office a few days ago."

"Isn't Four Seas Corporation's design company known for not hiring fresh graduates?"

"Who knows? Well, if you can get into Four Seas, you might become successful someday!"

People started discussing, and Vivienne specialized in interior decoration design, while Four Seas Corporation was a renowned real estate conglomerate in the city. They also had a dedicated interior design subsidiary and often collaborated with famous foreign enterprises. Therefore, every year, many designers would do anything to get in.

"Vivienne, let's go together to the campus career fair in a few days. Who knows, you might actually get hired by Four Seas Corporation," Julian suggested, nudging Vivienne's arm with enthusiasm.

"I'm not going," Vivienne replied.

"Why not?" Julian asked, confused.

"It doesn't feel right for me," Vivienne said casually.

That night, while working at the part-time club restaurant, as expected, some colleagues looked at her with strange eyes. It seemed that they had heard about what happened in the private room yesterday.

One female coworker approached her directly in the changing room and asked, "Vivienne, I heard that yesterday in the private room, a man beat another customer half to death because of you. Is that true?"

Vivienne sighed inwardly and maintained a calm expression on her face as she replied, "No, it's not true."

"Then who was the man who took you out of the store yesterday?" the coworker inquired curiously.

"He's an old friend," Vivienne answered.

"The person who can afford to come here for a meal must be quite wealthy. How come you never mentioned having such a friend before?"

Vivienne remained silent, and the coworker seemed to realize that Vivienne didn't want to answer, so she left, touching her nose.

After changing into her work uniform, as Vivienne stepped out of the changing room, Lily approached her.

"The customer who walked you out yesterday is waiting for you in private room number 7. The manager asked me to let you know," Lily said.

Vivienne was taken aback but also seemed somewhat expectant.

"Okay, I'll go over," Vivienne replied, about to walk away, but Lily pulled at her sleeve.

"Thank you for helping me yesterday. If it weren't for you, I don't know what would have happened," Lily expressed her gratitude. When she was drenched in cold wine yesterday, she finally realized that pursuing wealthy individuals wasn't as glamorous as portrayed in TV dramas. After all, in this world, how many people would gain the favor of the rich just by accidentally spilling wine on them?

"It's nothing," Vivienne shook her head. Or perhaps she should say that if Asher hadn't been there by chance yesterday, her fate might have been even worse.

Thinking of Asher, her heart sank a little.

Vivienne lightly knocked on the door of private room number 7, then turned the doorknob and entered.

In the softly lit room, Asher was still the same as yesterday, dressed in all white, looking pristine and flawless like a perfect doll, capturing people's attention in a trance-like state.
