Rhea's Pov

I scoffed but said nothing. There was blood in my throat and in my mouth, so I couldn't speak. But I made sure that my eyes could convey everything that I wanted to say. And it made him angry. But he controlled his anger, instead, a very evil smirk appeared on his lips. My heart shook in fear. What was he planning now?

He walked away, towards the darker places of the warehouse. For one second, a stupid second, I thought he was done. That maybe… Maybe, he’d had enough and was tired of hitting me. Maybe he would angrily leave and wouldn't come back for a while so I could lick my wounds. But that smirk should’ve warned me.

He didn’t stay for long. Because a few seconds later, he came back holding a short metal pipe. It was rusted and some parts of it were already falling apart. If that thing touched the wounds I already had, they would get infected so badly. What was he planning on doing with it? He spinned the pipe in his hands, smirking as he stared at me.
