CHAPTER 13: TRUE LOVE

As I saw Khushi stepping upwards to the 1st floor with the maids, I headed for the garden where Akash was waiting for me.

When I arrived there, I spotted Akash engrossed in his phone. He was probably chatting with one of his numerous girlfriends. Uncle Hemant was monitoring the servant who was serving Akash tea.

"Haven't I told you not to appear at my door without informing me?" I said, occupying the seat opposite of him. Akash raised his head and placed his phone back inside his denim. Uncle Hemant sent the servant inside because Akash's conversation with me would be confidential.

"I missed my brother. So I paid him a visit. Is it a sin, huh?" He uttered dramatically.

"Save that performance for the camera!

Don't you know I'm the focus of attention these days?

What if a paparazzi caught you sneaking in here?" He seemed unfazed by my words.
