The Feeling of Unease

Hospital:-

“Yeah, I gave the packets to the head nurse. She said I can stay near Mom’s room, but not exactly inside that.” Natasha said sadly. Her dull face clearly stated the pain she was going through.

“That’s okay, dear. We’ll meet her after I come back. They won’t stop us at that time.” Hunter consoled her, talking sweetly.

“When will you come back?” Natasha inquired him over the call, holding the phone close to her ear. Her fingers rubbed her over her nape. She leaned into the railing of the corridor she had come to attend the call. The girl in her eyes for a moment and let her lungs take in the fill of the fresh air after struggling with the anxiety of this fateful day.

His brother, on the other hand, was driving through the empty roads and had his call connected with the car’s speaker. Ten minutes ago, he called Natasha when he got a call from the hospital regarding bringing some medicine. He felt utterly bad for being absent in such a situation, but somehow controlled himself
