It’s been two weeks since I cut all my ties with Stephan and stayed hidden until I figure out my next step which was unclear since he had been searching me everywhere. I didn’t stay with my friend June because it’d be the first place he might come to look for me.
I was staying in a motel. I switched off my phone and deleted my social media accounts so he couldn’t trace me. I was broken beyond repair by his indifference.
He had no feelings for me, not even an ounce of sympathy for me whereas I wasted my two years in making his life beautiful. I performed all my duties as a wife but he thought I did everything for his money.
I was busy dwelling on my next step when my burner other phone rang and it flashed June’s number. I quickly received it.
“Hello, June?”
“Olivia, there’s something I think you should know.” I heard her saying in a low voice.
My heart hammered against my rib cage.
“June, what is it? You are scaring me.” I said impatiently.
“I think you can come out of your hiding. There is no use for you to stay hidden because Stephan won’t come after you.” She said.
“Why..what are you trying to say?” I asked her. I wasn’t having a good feeling about it.
“He met with an accident. It was a fatal accident and it caused him serious injuries and….” She hesitated, “He slipped into a coma.”
Her words caused my world to collapse.
I blinked my eyes to believe if I heard the right words.
“What did you just say?” I asked her again in a dreaded tone. My hands and feet were cold.
“Yes, he met with an accident three days ago, he was drunk while driving. The news didn’t come in media because Hamilton family buried it. Tiffany came to me and begged me to tell her about you. She wants you to come home but I don’t think you should appear because their parents are staying with them.” She told me.
I hung up the call and processed her words.
Stephan was nearly dead. My heart clenched in my chest. Somewhere I blamed myself for his condition. He rarely gets drunk. He must be very upset which led him to drink and drive.
I wanted to run back to him and stay by his side. I knew I couldn’t hate him even if I want because he was my first and last love.
But returning to his home means calling for my death. His parents were the most despicable and dangerous people I had ever met. They hated me simply because I wasn’t rich as them. One of the reasons they never wanted our marriage to be revealed publicly.
I wiped my tears and stood up. I wanted to see him before I leave the city forever.
With shaking hands, I called Tiffany.
“Hello, it’s me, Tiff. Can we meet at the old church?” I asked her while doing my best to control my tears.
I rushed to hug Tiffany as soon as I saw her. She didn’t look in good shape.
“Where have you been, Olivia?” She yelled at me. I could feel her anger.
“I am sorry, I just wanted to get away from him. I felt suffocated living in the loveless marriage.” I confessed with guilt.
“He looked for you everywhere like a mad man. I was there with him. So, don’t say that he never felt anything for you because I had seen him how broken and lost he was when you left him without a word.” She said.
Her words sliced my heart. It was enough to push me in a pool of guilt.
“I want to see him. Please, help me, Tiff.” I requested her in an ashamed tone.
“It’s impossible. The security around his ward is very tight and I don’t think coming across my parents is a good idea for you. My mother will lose her temper if she sees you because she’s blaming you for her beloved son’s condition.” Tiffany shook her head.
“Please, for one last time, I want to see him. I swear I will never come back. He is better without me.” I begged her.
She looked at me hesitantly but then she agreed to help me.
When I reached at the hospital, she secretly led me to his ward where his bodyguards stood. Her parents had gone home. I stared at him through the glass window as nobody was allowed to enter inside.
My heart ached seeing him lying lifelessly on the hospital bed, his head was wrapped in bandage, there was swelling on his face and bruises were on his hands. His chest heaved slowly.
“I am sorry, Stephan. I wish we would have met in different circumstances. I wish we could have a happy marriage but I have always loved you. I still love you and I won’t stop loving you till my last breath. I am letting you go because you’ll be happy without me.” I whispered and turned to leave.
I heard heels clicking which alerted me and I hid behind a pillar and I saw Vivienne coming with Mrs. Hamilton.
“Vivienne, I want you to use this chance to stay by my son’s side and win his heart when he wakes up. I won’t let that girl come back in his life ever again and I want you to erase her memories from his mind. You are the perfect wife for my son and I want you to prove it.” Mrs. Hamilton said to her.
“Mrs. Hamilton, I have been trying my best but Olivia always ruins everything.” Vivienne said with malice.
“Then try harder, Vivienne. You have no idea what I had to do keep him busy when Olivia’s mother was dying. I can’t help you anymore so prove yourself or vanish from my son’s life.” Mrs. Hamilton sounded more venomous than her.
Her words prickled my heart. It was them who created this rift between us.
But it was too late to regret. I lost Stephan and the slightest chance to be with him.
“I swear, Mrs. Hamilton. Stephan will be mine and if Olivia tries to come back, I am going to destroy her.” Vivienne.
[ Stephen ]“I hope Tiffany is doing good now.” Brandon said.We were sitting down at the poolside in his house, enjoying beer.“Tiffany is doing better than before. She is happy with kids around her. But I can’t get hold of Tristan. He had been quiet since her accident. I thought he’d try to contact her but no, he didn’t.” I said.“Stephen, you are confusing me. Do you want him to see Tiff?” He asked with a frown.“I’d never allow him anywhere near my sister.” I said with clenched jaws, “I just have a feeling that they’re in touch with each other, just a wild guess because Tiffany looks lost and she hasn’t said a word to us.”“Hmm, let’s give her some time. Maybe, she’ll open up after some time. We’re keeping a close watch on Tristan. If he tries something, at least, we can stop him.” He said.Talking to Brandon helps my mind to calm down.“Tomorrow is Vivienne’s first scan. You have to bring her to the hospital because the tests can only be done at the hospital.” He reminded me and
[ Olivia ]“Oh, please, faster…”I moaned out loudly as my husband thrusted deeper and faster inside me. My back arched as pleasure shot through my body cells. He wasn’t gentle and I didn’t want him to go soft either. It had been after months since we were drowning ourselves in physical pleasure.“Fuck! You’re so amazing, baby girl.’ He groaned and suddenly withdrew himself. The sudden emptiness made me wince and also felt frustrated.“Stephen Hamilton!” I glared him.“Be patient, Olivia Hamilton.” He smirked and with a swift moment, he flipped me on my stomach, “On your knees.” He commanded me.I folded my knees, my front pasted on the soft mattress. His firm hands gripped my hips and again, he penetrated inside me from behind.“Oh, Stephen!” I screamed as the new position touched my G-spot and it became hard for me to refrain myself from moaning loudly. The fraction between our flesh filled the steamy room. His hands massaged my ass and moved to my breasts, he was pleasuring me in a
[ Stephen ]“How are you feeling now?”My heart pained seeing my younger sister covered in bandage, her face pale and swollen. I couldn’t hold back my tears.“Terrible.” She whispered in barely audible tone.“How could you not see an approaching vehicle, Tiff? What if someone terrible had happened to you?” I stroked her hairs. Her eyes were staring at me blankly. They were full of pain and something deeper that I couldn’t comprehend.“I think we should let her rest, Steph. She has survived a major accident and came back to us. We shouldn’t bother her much.” Olivia spoke, her own eyes were teary.“Get well soon, my little sister.” I said.“Tiffany, we’re outside, if you need anything, just call me, hmm.” Olivia said to her and my sister only stared at us, her eyes depicting pain as if she wanted to say something but chose silence over words.Once we walked out of the private ward where my sister was admitted, I slumped down on the visitor’s sofa and rested my head in between my hands.
[ Third Person’s POV ]“I have waited for three freaking months, no, I have waited for over five years but my patience is waning. I don’t think I can wait any longer.”“Tristan, please, try to understand. I know you’re in pain and trust me I feel the same pain. I am also suffering. There isn’t a day when I don’t want to run into your arms and be with you forever but you know my brother better than I do.”A desperate Tiffany pleaded her lover in a hope that he could see how much she was suffering.“Your brother is the reason why we got separated on the first place, Tiff.” He slowly loosened her arms which were wrapped around him.“Please, don’t say this. I love you both and it pains me to see how you had Stephen fought over a deal. I know my brother and I know you as well. You both can never hate each other to this extent. Please, for us, try to break the ice with him.” Tiffany requested her love in a weak voice.Tristan stared at her blankly for a moment and then burst into laughter b
[ Stephen ]“Any updates on Tristan Quinn?” Olivia asked me.“Let’s celebrate the evening together and focus on our victory, Livy. This is our hard work and you’re spoiling our mood by mentioning unpleasant people.” I gave her a complaining look.“Sorry, my love but throughout the event, I was thinking about him because somewhere, I feared that he might create problems for us.” She said.“He’d not dare to meddle in my business, Livy. He knows that messing up with me means I’ll leave him on the streets to beg.” I said.“I know you are the smartest businessman, my love and I can’t wait to work under your guidance once again.” She grinned and leaned on my shoulder. We were driving through the city lanes after the bidding event and a follow up party to celebrate the smooth conclusion of months’ process, meetings which also came with Ethan Greyson’s scandal.I had the legal agreement sitting on Olivia’s lap who was the star of the evening.“Our daughters must be waiting for us but you’re d
[ Olivia ]“What? Rebecca is pregnant?” I exclaimed not believing on what I heard from my husband.Stephen shook his head, “And he proposes a marriage of compromise which she rejected.” He added.“Well, as much as it’s quite complicated to process and it must be dealt with caution, I actually don’t disagree with Rebecca. I mean parenting and marriage are two different things even though they coexist. They can settle on coparenting if marriage isn’t acceptable by her.” I put my opinion.I was resting my head on Stephen’s chest and he was playing with my fingers on the terrace canopy.“I told him the same thing but men and their pride are sometimes difficult. I hope Brand tries to understand her situation and talk it out nicely. I don’t want their baby to become a reason of conflict. They both are mature adults.” He said, his voice had an edge.“You’re also an adult.” I said lifting my head to tease him.“Olivia Hamilton, I am not dumb. I know what are you insinuating at? Mine circumsta
[ Olivia ]“Are you sure that you’ll be fine? I can stay close if you need anything.” Stephen asked me softly with concern swirling in his eyes.“I am fine, Steph. Your work has affected by our private life’s chaos many times. Please, go back to work. June is with me and I can take care of myself.”
[ Olivia ]“If your mother was here, she’d be on the nineth cloud seeing you marrying the true love of your life even if he’s the same man you married before.” June said as she adjusted my veil.I stared at my reflection in the floor length mirror and felt nostalgia running through my blood cells.
[ Stephen ]“Olivia, this isn’t necessary. I swear I feel like I have become a puppet in this drama. She is lying. Can’t you see?” I expressed my disagreement to my wife.We were waiting for doctors to come and reveal the reports of the paternity test.“Calm down, Stephen. This is the only chance t
[ Stephen ]“Do you want to know the gender of the babies?”The doctor asked us and we shared a look. Our eyes spoke for our hearts.“What do you think, Steph? Should we keep it a surprise or prepare for our boys or girls’ arrival?” Olivia asked me with a serene smile.I stared at the monitor, this
