"You're engaged?"

"Yes, because I can't work with you, without wanting to devour you!" He seriously replied while glaring at her.

Beads of sweat started to form on her head. Her hands were sweating. She felt her blood rush to her face, and her site started to blur. Taking deep breaths, she tries to calm her, beating heart.

"Ahem.. I'm sorry, I think it was a mistake coming here."

In saying that, she stood up, and without looking at Cole, she bolted for the door, but she was too late as large hands grabbed her hand and pulled her towards his hard chest.

"What are you doing?"

"No, Sara, not like this."

"What do you want, Cole?"

"Marry me, Sara."

"What?" Shocked, she stares at Cole in disbelief. "You can't be serious, right?" Sara was lost with words. She felt overwhelmed with different emotions. Shocked, excited yet frightening.

"Please, I'm not sure what exactly I feel, but one thing for sure is that we have a connection, and you can not deny it." Feeling like this would be his only chance, ole lays out all his cards.

"Tell me something, Cole. Are you also engaged to someone else?" asked Sara. Praying he'd deny it, but when Cole avoided her eyes and refused to answer her. She pushed him away, refusing to let her tears fall.

"You're engaged?"

Still no answer.

"So you wanna get married to me, but you're already engaged to someone else?"

Without another word, Sara ran out of the office, with one goal in mind! She needs to get as far away from Cole Wright.

"FUCK!!" Frustrated with his situation Cole ran after her but too late as she had already gone down the elevator. Running toward the stairs, he was startled by a powerful voice.

"Why are you running like a headless chicken!?"

Frozen on the spot, Cole turns to see his grandfather, standing there with his cane. Even with a cane supporting most of his weight, he still looked as intimidating as he did thirty years ago.

"Grandpa, what brings you here today?" Blasting a fake smile to mask his annoyance. "I ran into your fiance here and thought to pay you a visit," replied the old man with a stoic expression.

Only then did he look at the woman hanging off his grandpa's other arm. "Stacey." He greets before walking back to his office.

"Stacey?" Asked Will (grandpa) with a raised eyebrow. "That's how you're gonna greet your bride to be? 'Stacey' ?" He continued to seek answers, but Cole payed no heed to him.

"What's happening to you?" Looking at his grandpa, he sucks in lungful of air before finally speaking. "The engagement is off."

"What is the meaning of this? Have you lost your mind!?" Squeled the old man. Seeming to have lost his strength, Will fell onto the couch in a dramatic way. "Do you wish me dead?" Appalled Cole stares at him.

"You can't be serious!" Said Cole, "I've told you numerous times I can not marry someone I don't love, let alone someone I can not stand to be in its presence!"

"You know the promise I had made with my late best friend, you can't deny me of this promise! I will take the CEO position back if you so wish as to cancel this engagement." Demanded Will.

Cole glared at Stacey, who was still standing by the door looking like a lost puppy. Knowing fully well that her innocent look is just a facade.

Meanwhile, Sara and Maeve are packing their bags. "So why are we packing?" For the hundreds time, Maeve asks again. "Wright Cooperation belongs to Cole and his family." Sara said in a low voice, but Maeve heard her.

Frozen on the spot, Maeve looks at her. "Cole? you mean?"Yes, the brothers own the the company, we need to leave because Cole knows our address now."

Quickly, they packed and headed for the door. Maeve booked two one-way flights, making sure to be continents away from the brothers.

As their plane landed in a faraway and unfamiliar place, they both swallowed their pain and moved to exit the plane. Making their way through the airport and out. Hailing a cab, they head towards their new apartment.

"Positive!?"

Both women stared at the other, both holding pregnancy sticks with positive signs. "What do we do now?" asked Sara while trying her best not to break. "We can do this. They are both engaged, and we will not let their infertility ruin us!! " Answered Maeve with determination.

(FOUR YEARS LATER)

"Mummy, why are you wearing makeup?" Says a little voice behind Sara. Seeing the seriousness in his eyes, she squats down to his level. "I have a very important ball that I was invited to, so mummy has to look her best."

"But you already have makeup on, and I don't like that red lipstick." he seriously mutters. "Okay.. I'll wipe it off, okay?" cood, Sara. As always, she tries to satisfy the soon to be four year old.

"Mummy, you look pretty." Comes another voice at the door. Sara looks at her and sees her mini self standing there at the entrance of her room. Eyes sparkling with fascination at her momma.

(Yes, you guessed it! hehe, Sara, have adorable twins. The Boys' name is Cole Pika Smith, and the girl is Gabby Maeve Smith.)

"Come here, baby." Opening her arms out, Gabby runs into her waiting arms. Enveloping her in her arms, she squeezes her tightly. She always felt complete with her babies, well almost, as her heart still longs for the father of her children, but she knows it's just wishful thinking.

"Why are you angry at Mommy? She looks pretty" says Gabby, "that's the problem. She's too pretty!" Says Pika with an eye roll.

Sara has noticed how quick her son matured over the year. He acts and talks like an adult, and it sometimes frightens her. His possessive attitude towards her and her daughter is still something she is trying to get used to.

"Promise you won't allow any man to touch you!" Declared Pika. "Dont worry, baby, there is no man for me."

"Yes, only our daddy can touch you, no one else! Okay, Mummy!?" Declared Pika. This did not surprise Sara anymore, as Pika had been asking for his dad ever since he could talk.

Kissing her babies goodnight, she heads out to the living room where Maeve has been waiting. "Thank the Goddess! I thought you weren't coming out!" Maeve says dramatically.

"I almost didn't."

"What was it this time?"

"Red lipstick "

"OMG!" Exclaimed Maeve with humor in her voice. "How is he so different? I wonder if that's how Cole is?"

It was too late to realize her mistake, as she tried to come up with something to cover up her mess up but failed miserably. "Come on, let's go. Where's my baby?" asked Sara, referring to Maeves daughter.

(During Maeves' pregnancy, she fell into depression and due to this, she lost one of her babies. Sara had to take care of her while enduring her own pregnancy. Maeve gave birth to identical twin girls, but unfortunately, one was stillborn. Stillborn babys' name is Britania Faith Louver, whereas for the one that survived. Her name is Tanya Hope Louver.)

"She fell asleep. Where's' aunt Sue?"

(Sue was a janitor at the orphanage, where Maeve grew up in. Despite being a janitor, she always helped with the kids, as she has always longed to have one of her own, but was very unfortunate. Now, she lives with the girls after the girls found her living in a box at the center square when both girls were heavily pregnant.)

"She should be back by now. She went to buy dinner for the kids."

"Right, it's maccas day. hehe"

As they were putting their shoes on, the door opened up, and in comes Sue with two large bags. "You're leaving?" Sue asks the girls as she makes her way to the kitchen. "Yes, Mama, will you be okay?" replied Sara.

"Of course, dear. You two enjoy, but don't stay out too long!" She warned. "Yes, Mama!" they giggled at their reply.

"Grandma! You bought maccas!"Yeahy maccas! Thank you, Mama..! " Thank you, Mama, you're the best!" All excited as they dug into their food.

Arriving at the most beautiful, famous don't forget expensive hotel of the country, the girls could see many gorgeous woman and handsome men. The place was like a real-life work of a fairy godmother.

The Hotels Gala Ballroom stuns all those who enter its doors with its sheer scale and opulence. The large room is adorned in lustrous drapes, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a shimmering ceiling of silver and gold, with magnificent chandeliers.

Making their way through the crowd, the women admire every detail as they walk through. Grabbing a glass of wine from a passing waiter, they cheered to their success before taking a small sip.

Two years ago, Sara opened up her very own internal design company. S&M Designs was what they had decided to name it.

Maeve, being a silent investor, strayed away from anything company related. Only attending parties and work occasions as Saras plus one.

While making small talk and meeting a few business partners, they froze on the spot when a whole new entourage of fierce looking men led by two very familiar faces.
