Who's coming?

"That's it, those who leave won't be able to come back. You are still young Vira, you still have a long way to go, there are still many men waiting for you."

Savira was still silent, unsure of what to answer. It is common knowledge that the relationship exists between Savira and Purnawan. The age difference is too far making their relationship filled with controversy. It was also what made Savira not ready when Purnawan proposed to her a few weeks ago.

Regret. Yes, that feeling that perched in his heart. Not because he failed to own Purnawan's property. But he regretted that at the end of his life, Savira could not accompany him. He couldn't even come close. He was banned by Purnawan's ex-wife and son.

"Do you want coffee, Ra?" asked Bram again, he tried to break the silence that occurred between them.

"I ti ...."

The sound of an ambulance siren cut him off. Savira quickly ran and opened the entrance to the emergency room.

Bram snorted in annoyance, the ambulance came at the wrong time. Just now he was happy to be able to talk with Savira. But now it has to be postponed because the task is in sight.

"There are always distractions," Bram muttered. He immediately prepared to wait for the guests who came in the middle of the night.

Savira was stunned when she saw the patient who had just been pushed into the emergency room. He was silent, his footsteps were too heavy to follow the patient who had just entered.

"Take this money, but don't come near my daddy! I know what you are looking for from that old man!" said Dion while throwing a wad of money on the table, right in front of Savira.

Savira smiled then again handed the brown envelope to Dion. There was never any intention to control property that was not rightfully his. She had a relationship with Purnawan out of love, not to enjoy his wealth.

"I don't need the money, just give it to orphanages or foundations that need help," said Savira.

"Bastard! Slut! You must be after Purnawan's treasure, right? So you don't want a dime like this. You sneaky woman!" Dion glared at Savira. But never once made the woman in front of him flinch.

"Savira!" Bram's call jolted the reverie that had been present.

After gathering strength, Savira walked over. Now he stood beside Bram who was checking on Dion's condition.

Savira's heart was beating fast, not because of the love that resided in her chest. But the fear of being humiliated when Dion realized. But as fast as lightning, Savira brushed the feeling away. She realized her duty to help patients regardless of who that person was, enemy or friend.

"Savira, please treat the wound on her head!" Bram ordered.

Bram walked out and met two policemen who accompanied Dion to the hospital. He must provide information regarding the patient he is treating.

"You can Vira... You can do it!" Savira said to himself.

Savira slowly cleaned the wound on Dion's forehead. He tries to be careful so that his former stepson-to-be doesn't wake up and add new problems to his life.

Savira's touch made Dion wake up. The man's eyes went wide when he saw Savira standing right beside him. Dion suddenly got up and took a few steps forward. But his steps stopped because his head was spinning.

"Sit down!" Savira said then helped Dion sit down. But soon Dion brushed off Savira's hand.

"Don't touch me!" snapped Dion.

"Shut up! Do you want me to scream and call the two cops out front? You could go to jail for drunk driving!"

Dion rubbed his rough face, "Ow... It hurts!" he winced in pain. Reluctantly the man returned to drop the weight on the gurney.

"Slowly!" Dion shouted when Savira was treating his wound.

"Here, treat yourself!" he said annoyed.

"You want me to report to the hospital for being rude to patients?" Savira exhaled roughly and immediately closed Dion's wound.

Dion looked at her in annoyance. Images of Purnawan and Savira sharing sweat danced in his head. His hatred grew even more considering the testament he had just heard.

He did not accept that he had to marry a woman who had shared his body with his father. His heart continues to rebel.

"If it wasn't in the hospital, I would have killed you!" thought Dion.

"It's done," Savira said then turned around and walked away.

"Wait!" Dion's shout made Savira's steps stop. The woman turned around and looked at him disapprovingly.

"What!"

Dion smirked at Savira. His eagle gaze made Savira lose his nerve a little. Dion can do something reckless to Savira. What's more, the man was under the influence of alcoholic beverages.

Savira took a few steps back, she was afraid that Dion would do something that would harm her.

"Why? Are you afraid?" asked Dion.

"N-no," Savira stammered

"Sly woman, I know what's in your head. Until you ask Daddy to marry us, right!"

"What!"

"Not coming to work, Ra?" asked Nurdin who was sitting on the terrace while enjoying a cup of coffee.

"Holidays, Dad," replied Savira.

The black-haired woman was again busy watering various ornamental plants. Several pots are neatly arranged in the yard of his house which is not so wide. The various ornamental plants gave beautiful colors to Nurdin's relatively simple house.

"When are you getting married, Ra?" asked Nurdin then put the newspaper on the small table right beside his seat. His eyes were watching Savira's movements.

Savira put the bucket and dipper on the ground. The narrow yard made him able to hear his father's question. This is not the first time Nurdin has asked something similar. Almost every day those words came out of Savira's father's mouth.

"Yesterday you should have married that old man, Ra. We must be rich now. You've waited too long. So women are aggressive, don't be passive."

Savira was still silent, reluctant to answer Nurdin's heartbreaking words. The woman already memorized the nature of her biological father. The man was always concerned with his gain. It doesn't matter if it hurts Savira or anyone else.

"Father wants you to get married quickly so that your husband can fulfill your wishes. Find a rich husband, if possible, an old one. So you can control her wealth."

"Astaghfirullah..." Savira said while stroking her chest which felt tight.

It's not unusual to hear Nurdin's words like that. This man only cares about money. He didn't care if his daughter's heart was hurting.

"Never mind, Dad. Don't keep pushing Vira. Savira is still sad to be left by Purnawan. But you don't care."

"You're crying for such an old man like that. He deserves to be your father, not your husband. I regret that you didn't ask him to marry you right away. We should have become very rich."

Savira stepped angrily into the room, leaving the bucket and dipper in the yard. Nurdi's words further depressed Savira.

"Why again, Ra?" asked Wati from the slightly open door of Savira's room.

Silence, no answer from Savira. Only the sound of sobbing could be heard in Wati's ears. Slowly the 52-year-old woman approached and then dropped her body on the bed, right next to him.

"Am I not allowed to be happy, Mom?" asked Savira with tears in her eyes.

"Why do you talk like that? Everyone has the right to be happy, including you," Wanti answered while stroking the top of her head gently.

"Why is it when I love someone and my father blesses him but instead he goes that fast?"

"That's destiny, Ra. You can't be angry with the line that God has given you," said Wati quietly.

"Savira is tired, Mom. You always ask me to find a rich man, asking for this and that. How long will you be like this? Until Savira is old and no one wants to? Savira shouldn't get married. It's useless to have a husband if you always take advantage of him."

Savira sobbed again, drop by drop of water running down her white cheeks.

"Forgive your father, Ra. He is too much. He should think about your feelings instead of thinking about his pleasure."

Savira was silent, she was reluctant to answer her mother's words. The long-nosed woman chose to turn around and turn her back on Wati.

All day Savira locked herself in the room. He only came out to use the bathroom. He even skipped lunch. Annoyance and anger made him reluctant to meet Nurdin face to face.

Her father's attitude made Savira always ostracized, she was even called an old maid because until she was thirty years old she was still alone. This was all because Nurdi always asked for a high dowry from all the men close to Savira. Until finally they chose to leave Savira.

Savira always felt sick, angry, and disappointed until he finally met Purnawan two years ago. At that time, Savira served at the internal specialist polyclinic. A retired man who is sick always checks his health regularly. The meeting between the patient and the nurse makes closeness created and the seeds of love grow between them.

Love knows no age, that's what Purnawan and Savira feel. Unfortunately, that love had to run aground because Purnawan had returned to the Creator.

Purnawan's wedding plans were only wishful thinking. Now Savira has to organize her life without Purnawan by her side.

The raindrops sounded clunky. Savira immediately got up from the bed and then ran to the front yard to pick up the clothes that were still drying. Savira's house does not have a backyard. They have to dry their clothes in front of the house. Understandably they live in lower middle-class housing.

One by one the clothes have moved in hand, only the underwear is still attached to the clothesline.

Bruumm...

Savira turned around when she heard the sound of a car stopping right on the road in front of her house. The car door was opened from the inside, and one by one feet looked out. Savira was still silent while watching who was visiting. So far, only Purnawan's car has ever stopped there. So who owns the four-wheeled vehicle? Savira wondered to himself.
