And another chapter in!!! Does Landon have a competitor¿ Will there be a triangle¿ Well… See yA!
{Ciril’s POV} The plan was to go out on a recruiter mission and somehow spread hope to the people, before being back abled fighters to come and join us in our course to defeat the Ferals.According to Anne, I was to be their hope and although I didn’t exactly know how I was going to do that, we set out on our journey now.We were traveling in our numbers, all of us leaving together since we didn’t want to leave anyone behind or get separated. We were sensibly supposed to have someone back at the Palace but I especially didn’t want that for fear of something happening to the person and the rest of us not knowing… or being able to help. Our radius for recruitment was the Central Reigns and we had chosen it because we knew that Packs of the Central Reigns would be well aware of the Palace battle with the Ferals— hence they would be more inclined with the relief of the situation. We were going to present to them the fact of them helping us stop the Ferals as if we failed, their homes w
{Landon’s POV} With my presence, she was always furious and I could always see it in her eyes that she wanted to kill me.And that’s properly understandable, considering the things I’ve done to her. I scourged her when she needed my love, and I didn’t believe her when she needed my trust…That’s more than enough reason for her to want me dead… but then I don’t want to die— not for the fear of it, but for the fact of never seeing her again if I died.Hence, someway, somehow, I have to stay alive. I have to stay alive and make things right. “So you’re the Prince, ey?” I suddenly heard a voice break into my thoughts so that I turned to my left to see blue eyes staring at me— blue eyes just like mine. It was one of the males who had started following Ciril— the smaller one and not the giant. He was tall but then I was a bit taller and I stared at him now, wondering what he wanted.I didn’t respond to his utterance or question and he smiled in reaction. “Don’t worry. You don’t need t
{Ciril’s POV} I’m immune..We had succeeded in killing off Abashe’s Ferals..The Palace was in complete ruins..One of the Bears was injured, Kiba..And then Landon was on our team.Out of everything, that last one was the one that concerned me the most. Did I say concern? I mean disturbed me, angered me— infuriated me. I felt like attacking him every new minute he lasted amongst us. I hungered to slit his throat or skin him alive, but then I couldn’t do any of that because I had to be sensible due to our mission. My mother was right. We need all the help we can get as we are thoroughly outnumbered— or we will be, by the time Abasha gets here with the Dark One and his Dark army. It aggrieves me that I let her walk away— Abasha. Why couldn’t my body just adapt fast so that I could have stormed at her and killed her there and then?I sighed now.We were going around the Palace, currently checking for survivors as we hoped that two or more had hidden away from the chaos while it had
{Ciril’s POV} “You’re immune.” Those words felt unreal to my ears in meaning and essence.I stared at Anne like she didn't know what she was saying and I wanted to argue with her but then there was proof of her claim right before me.A solid proof.— ‘cause would a Feral basically melt right before my eyes after biting into my leg? With memory, I instantly threw my gaze to my foot now to see the bite marks. It was clear and the wound was gaping but then that was it. I didn’t see any infection veins spreading over and out of the injury area like I had seen on Gordius while he had been turning into a Feral. I didn’t see anything like that and then I promptly remembered the one that had bitten me on my arm earlier. I looked to see the wound healing— without any infection trace. So it was real?I was immune to Ferals blood and they were affected by mine?I looked away from these wounds and drove my gaze to rest on my mother. I met her staring at me kindly and then she nodded slowly in
Chapter 176{Ciril’s POV} I watched the rotten fangs sink into the flesh of my arm… and I did nothing. I had been too stunned to react. And even if I had reacted, even if I had been quick, the Feral’s fangs only needed to get into my body and make the slightest contact with my blood— and it had done that. I growled in anger as I ripped my arm away from the Feral’s clutch and scowled at it as it trembled back with my blood on its lips. I roughly grasped it now and pulled it closer so that I bashed it with repeated claw strikes until what was left of it was 30% of its facial matter. I tore down its flesh and majority of its bones and It crashed to the ground now while I trembled in the horror of my realization. I was immediately made to tense as Landon gripped me. “Ciril?!” He voiced in his alarm as he jumped before me, gripping both my arms. I stared at him for a moment with dread and a hint of tears in my eyes and then I realized what was happening— realized that he was holding
{Ciril’s POV} I tensed as I watched the groups of Ferals storm out of the Palace, chasing after Clord and the others.I had thought I had killed a lot of Ferals but seeing this number creep out from absolutely nowhere, I was shaken. I threw my claws out and impulsively turned to chase after the Ferals in order to stop them. But then as I started to move, I was instantly halted.“Think twice.” Abasha said and I halted. I halted also because I suddenly started hearing distressed cries of people, and I turned to see warriors— some Palace warriors dragging some maids and workers towards the scene. And then I saw Edwin rush to stand beside Abasha and whisper something into her ears. She nodded and then he stood there motionlessly as he avoided my gaze. He was her messenger, so it seemed. The entire sight was confusing and Abasha called my attention back to herself now. “So, I’m about to tell these warriors to slit these people's throats and then I would command my remaining Ferals to t
