And it’s done… They are back… See yA!
{Ciril’s POV} You know that instance after a heavy rainfall when the clouds are still very much dark and thick but then the sun comes up and it introduces itself first with a single ray of light bursting through the clouds and pouring on the earth as that single but significant beam that shows that the storm is over?Such an illustration was what was at play here as I gazed upon my mother, Princess Anika, and Princess Anita with color on their faces and life in their breath.I hadn’t been there with them to witness their revival and I had honestly doubted the process a bit but thankfully now, all that doubt was rendered useless as they were all standing before me hale and hearty like nothing had even happened to them.It was relieving and shocking at the same time as it really felt unreal— because hours ago they were lunatic monsters… but now they had the ability to breathe as much as they had the ability to live.“Mum?” I muttered with a shaky voice as I gazed between my mother, Pri
{Ciril’s POV} ~ The Next Day ~I was seated on the ground. There was blood everywhere around me due to the spills from my healing attempts and I was properly weary now.I was drained due to the blood loss and this made me tense and somewhat aggressive. Before now, I had been going in and out of the Celestial State and the reason for this was that I was almost at the point of going unconscious and my body was interpreting this as a threat— hence my aggression and the Celestial State. But I was calm now— at least, I was trying to be. I had successfully fed my blood to my mother, Princess Anita, Anika, Clord, and 37 other Ferals we had found around the Palace. This was good news but then there were so many others we couldn’t save because they were too mutilated to live if I cured them. Most of them were missing limbs, guts, or even half of their body, and they were alive due to their feral infection, hence if I cured them with my blood, they wouldn’t survive. This was sad but then the
{Ciril’s POV} I tore a part of the skin on my wrist. My blood spilled on the floor. My mother, Anika, Princess Anita, and Clord were brought out by Landon and Anne and placed before my pool of blood on the floor. — They didn’t drink from it. They only made me emotional by growling at me and threatening to eat me, threatening to eat us. I was emotionally distracted by how forgotten and wild they looked but then we had to come up with another plan— another way to make them taste a good portion of my blood so that they could be cured.Next, we poured my blood on a chunk of flesh for them to eat. Anne had immediately gone to kill one of the Ferals wandering around the Palace and had brought it to me for me to spill my blood on it— which I did. But then it was a stupid attempt since the rotten flesh didn’t soak my blood, and the Ferals— my mother and the others, preferred to try to attack us who ‘live food’ than to eat the flesh. And so, that plan also failed. I ended up wasting anothe
{Ciril’s POV} “Damn, Anne. You almost broke my neck!” Landon yelled.“How did you even move like that— move like an animal?!” Landon yelled again. He has been stroking his neck and yelling his complaints at Anne for the past few minutes while I just stood speechless.I didn’t know what to say as I stared at Anne. We were outside in the open surroundings of the Palace ruins and I used the light from the setting sun to take in Anne’s appearance. She appeared weary, bruised, and rough— she looked feral… only that she wasn’t. I stared at her and I felt bad— I pitied her. She had gone through stress while we were gone and it reflected all over her guise now. “My senses are a little impaired. I didn’t know it was the two of you.” She told Landon dryly now. There’s that too. She was so stressed that her perception was affected. I was saddened by this.“Shit.” Landon cursed under his breath now while I called Anne’s attention to myself.“I’m sorry, Anne.” I said to her now, growing emotio
{Ciril’s POV} Tears…Tears bathed my eyes… and this happened without my permission and out of my control. The moment I set foot inside the Palace and caught sight of the bloodied surroundings, my body started to react without my conscious supervision.I started to pour out tears and my fingers started to tremble to say the least. I had wanted to be optimistic and strong about our return since I had a cure— a solution that could help solve the problems created. But then my emotions had taken over and now, I was a weeping mess.— and you can’t blame me.The sight I caught was too bad…The Palace was gory, smelly, rotten, and everything else you would expect from a battleground graveyard. The Ferals who had been injured but alive at the time of my departure were dead now— most of them, and the surroundings reflected signs of intense suffering and brutality— signs that some Ferals had fought and eaten some other Ferals since there was no normal being they could hunt, kill, and eat. It
{Ciril’s POV} We ended up not stopping for the night.Yeah. That’s right. We journeyed all through the night until daybreak… and all this was for a reason. As my relief for Landon waking up and being healthy started to fade away since I knew he was okay now, my panic for my family started to grow.Anika, Princess Anita, Anne, Clord, and my mother were my family and I realized the urgency to return to them on time— now that I had a cure.Honestly, I had been stalling earlier— dreading to return to the Palace because I knew I wouldn’t be able to do anything helpful but break down in tears.. That had been the reason for my subconscious hesitancy, but now that there was a cure, our journey was hasty as ever.Sorry, Landon’s journey was hasty as ever. He was still the one carrying me so he had been the one who had done all the trekking and traveling, but then I had soothed his journey by being entertaining and sweet. You can tell he still had an amazing night from the look he had on his
