SIERRA'S POV

"Why don't you calm down and speak to me?" Eleanor just kept begging me to talk, but my lips were so locked that I could barely speak.

"What's the matter?" Evan arrived just in time.

"I think I just saw the most disturbing thing that I can ever imagine. This came from someone I barely know..." I handed over the items to Evan.

It was a good thing that he was here because I wasn't ready to handle Eleanor's overreaction when she was about to start.

"No!" Eleanor screamed at the top of her lungs.

She screamed so loud my ears began to ring.

"I don't understand what I'm seeing here. Did someone just walk up to you and give you this?" Evan's questions were just so annoying. I couldn't bear it.

"I said this is someone I met two days ago. He invited me for a date and came to deliver my dress, only for me to get this." I explained over and over again.

"Look, Eleanor, they are still alive." He tried to console her while she was crying.

"How sure are you?" Her eyes were filled with t

Evans POVI slowly opened my eyes, groggily taking in my surroundings. My body felt heavy, weighed down by exhaustion. I tried to sit up, but a wave of fatigue washed over me, making my limbs feel like lead.I collapsed back onto the pillow, struggling to muster the energy to get out of bed. My mind was foggy, my thoughts disjointed. I rubbed my eyes, trying to shake off the remnants of sleep. As I finally managed to sit up, I swung my legs over the side of the bed and planted my feet firmly on the ground. I took a deep breath, willing myself to get moving, but my body seemed to be protesting every step of the way. I was so tired, I didn't know if I could even stand up.I paused at the edge of the bed. A faint smile crossed my lips as memories of the night before flooded my mind. It had been a night filled with bliss, laughter, and warmth. But the smile didn't linger for long. Reality quickly set in, and my thoughts turned to the looming responsibilities of the day. Work. The word ech

Tracy's POVTHE DREAMI felt my anger boiling over as I glared at Maggie. "You're always lying, Maggie! Every time you told me we were safe, every time you said we had a plan—it was all a lie, wasn't it?"My voice was shaking with rage, and I could feel tears streaming down my face. I didn't care. I was beyond reason."You've put us in danger, Maggie. You've put both of our children in danger. I don't even know if I can trust you anymore."Maggie's face was pale, but she tried to reason with me."Tracy, please, we can't fall apart now. We have to—"But I cut her off, my words spilling out in a venomous torrent."No, Maggie. You've had your chance to explain, to make things right. But it's too late for that now. You've ruined everything. You're going to get us killed."I felt a pang of fear as I looked at the mafia men closing in around us, but it was nothing compared to the anger and betrayal I felt toward Maggie. "I trusted you," I spat, my voice barely above a whisper. "And you've l

Maggie's POVTHE DREAMMy heart pounded like a relentless drumbeat in my chest.Just a few minutes ago, the atmosphere had been bearable, but now everything felt suffocating. It was strange because Tracy, who usually complained about everything, hadn't said a word. She wasn't groaning or giving me her usual signs of discomfort, though she still wore that dissatisfied look she'd had ever since realizing I wouldn't give up on these children. How had I become so stubborn about this? Yes, I knew these so-called mafia people might be involved in human trafficking, and the thought of handing over these young kids made my stomach turn. They hadn't even had the chance to see the beauty of life or explore the world.I would never let them take these children without a fight. I'd do everything in my power to ensure not even a scratch touched them.I caressed the arm of the little girl beside me, leaning down to kiss the top of her head.As we stepped into the bustling airport, Tracy adjusted he

SIERRA'S POVJoy at last, though it might not be the final battle, but at least I can say that most of them have been won. Seeing my best friend's happiness brought back was the best thing that could happen to me right now.I felt so proud of Evan right now. He made all of us happy again. I don't have to see the moody Eleanor anymore."Are we just going to sit there and watch him? Come on, Aunty is going to get you whatever you want."The house was fun to be in. At least we don't have Tracy around to do anything that will displease us."Aunt Sierra, where is Aunt Tracy? She's supposed to bathe us." Elaina was a very sharp girl, and I loved her for that. She had noticed that we no longer had a snitch among us. We just had to deal with things ourselves without thinking about her."She is no longer here with us, and if you see her anywhere on the road, make sure you run as fast as you can and never look back. Do not let her touch you or say anything to you," I warned the kids.Evan and E

ELEANOR'S POVMy children right in front of me gave me all the strength I needed. I don't even have the strength to smile enough. I gathered all of them and hugged them so tightly."See, I told you I was going to bring them to you," Evan smiled. Now there was so much peace in the house. No one had to be afraid of anything that was happening."Please bring my kids closer to me. I want to hug them," I still insisted on hugging them even when I was warned to stay calm."Mommy, I missed you." That voice softened my heart, and I almost fell to the ground. All the doctors and nurses were watching this beautiful reunion."Okay guys, let's go home," Evan clapped and tried to bring us back to reality. We finally got out of the hospital and arrived at the house.*****"This calls for celebration," Sierra said to me."No, no, no, we aren't doing any celebration because we spent so many sleepless nights trying to make sure that you are safe." Sierra was so happy.Happier than me."So, who's goin

EVAN'S POVI rushed over to the address that was sent to me. I didn't even have a minute to think. I drove like a madman, and when I got there, I searched around a little bit before I could see them staying there and shivering."Come here, come over to uncle." I stretched my hands to take them."Uncle Evan!!" Andrew managed to speak even with the cold making his teeth chatter."I'm cold. I want to go home with you.""Don't worry, we are going home now." I carried both of them in my arms and put them in the car."Just calm down, okay? I will take you to mommy."I turned on the heater to make them warmer."Uncle, are we going to be with mom forever?" Eliana asked me."Yes, yes you are going to stay with mommy, and no one will take you away from her," I assured them.I scratched their heads until they began to giggle.I drove them down to the hospital."Anything?" I asked the man in charge of the hospital."Nothing, everywhere is calm and safe," he said to me."Come down safely. I don't
