ANDERSON'S POV

I caressed Eleanor's hair as she lay on my chest. The whole thought of getting kidnapped and beaten and bullied went through my mind.

First, I thought I would be able to outsmart Sonia and then get away with Robert. Unfortunately I got caught in both and only had my chance of leaving when Eleanor stood up for me.

Who knows what would have befallen me if she didn't go after me? I don't know how I would be pleading for mercy or, better still, agreeing to a deal that makes no sense.

"I'm so much more grateful that I kept Eleanor. Even if she is a temporary wife, I don't see this as a contract marriage anymore." I sighed.

Eleanor was still asleep, so I was mindful of the things I was saying then. Adam might have taught his son everything, but I think he still needs to help him with one thing.

Not to make decisions out of fear. I smiled when I remembered how he was shivering like a wet leaf and agreed to what I proposed immediately.
