Kane's POV

All these while, I have been watching her.

She moved funnily and it demanded my attention. Rain think she was smart. She wasn't.

I didn't know if I should be annoyed or not.

One part of me was shocked, shocked that she was that smart to pull this up. And the other part? I was angry she would think she could run away from me in the first place.

From my window, I had seen her open that door.

A door she shouldn't have noticed in the first place. A door she should not have seen, ever. Who told her about it? The glass in my hand reached my lips and I sipped some more water, wondering now, what to do.

The ditch she fell into had so many things she didn't want to see. There were more than enough bodies, from many years ago, rotten and fresh, thrown into it.

Did she think there was a route of escape in there?

The only way of escape was the main gate.

That alone, was the route she needed.
