Her punishment

Axel stared at her for a while without saying a word, obviously wondering why she changed her mind and decided to ask for his help.

“For?” He asked after a brief moment of silence.

“I want to get rid of someone?” Rebecca’s eyes darkened as she said those words.

Axel was left surprised because Rebecca wouldn’t think of hurting someone no matter what. He concluded that she had a reason for it, but he wouldn’t ask her. After all, Rebecca wouldn’t hurt someone innocent.

“Who?”

She didn’t reply immediately, she was skeptical about it. She knew if she said it, Axel would do it immediately and there will be no going back.

“The driver. He was part of the plan.” She was hesitant, contemplating on if she should just let it be.

But when she recalled how she screamed when the driver twisted her hand, and the hurtful words he said to her, she waved the second thought off and stared at Axel.

“I want him tortured, I want to see him beg for death.”

    As Axel entered the compound, the men were perplexed. Where was Rebecca? In as much as they were curious, no one dared to ask. Axel’s steps slowed, but didn’t stop. “Go watch over her. Make sure she’s safe.” Immediately he said that, two of the men rushed outside, going to do as he had said. When Axel got to his room, he fell weakly on the bed and covered his face with his palms. He just couldn’t get over the fact that he was betrayed by Rebecca. She wasn’t a saint, and he knew, but he didn’t think she would betray him, not at all. As she stepped out of her room, she came across a guy standing in front of her door.“Do you need something?” He asked calmly. She knew Axel made him stay there so she wouldn’t go out.     Rebecca woke up to a sweet smell, her eyes opened slowly and the first thing she saw was the white ceiling above her head. She moved her gaze sideways and she spotted a drip fixed to her left hand, and it was then she realized where she was. She turned to the other side and her eyes lit up when she saw a big bouquet of roses. It was the biggest she had seen in her entire lifetime. She sat upright, resting her back against the wall, and just immediately, the door to the ward opened and Axel walked in.“You’re awake?” He was surprised, but from his tone she could tell he was also excited.“Hey.” She cooed, as she stretched her free hand towards the bouquet and began rubbing it.“How are you feeling now? Do you feel good?” He questioned. Just as she was about to reply, she felt a sharp pain in her tummy, but she didn’t make a sound. “Guess I’m okay. What happened?” Axel was silent for a while, obviously thinking of what to tell her. “You um passed out because of stress.”

    He jerked out of his thought when Rebecca suddenly screamed. “Ouch!” She screamed again as she grabbed her belly.“What’s going on?” Axel demanded, his voice sharp with panic as he held under her arm, stopping her from falling directly to the floor.“My… my stomach!” She cried, clutching it in pains. She felt another sharp pain in her lower abdomen and she screamed horrifically, unable to stop herself. The men around rushed to the scene immediately. They had been staring the whole time from the sidelines and when they saw how the situation escalated, they rushed in.“Get the car ready!” Axel instructed. She felt something warm rushing through her legs and at that moment, realization suddenly dawned on her.
