I pick up the large sack of rubbish from the bar, fling it over my shoulder and wobble my weak butt to the back entrance where the large skip bins are. I walk through the halls and look into the rooms as I pass them by. All the doors are open except the room that used to be mine. Things have been really slow on our side of the wing lately. It's like we've all dispersed for our own painful reasons.
Caddie won't be back for a few days as the bruising's still staining her porcelain skin like something ferociously. Maddie is forbidden to enter the club under Amars demands. He still won't loosen up after I've begged him. Layla is due back today but no one's sure what state of mind she's going to be in. I haven't seen Chad this morning which is odd. He's never late, most of the time he's sleeping in his office.
I heave the bag over the side of the bin. I wipe my hands over my clothes and dust myself off.

MALAYINA May 14th 2018 Through teary eyes, and a blurry vision. I watch Amar dive to the floor. The bullet penetrates the wall, leaving a perfectly circular hole in its wake. I sigh with relief and wipe the tears from my eyes. Breathing heavily, I turn to face my father. The Hulk has a belt wrapped around his neck through the opened large window. A deep red shadow starts to creep up his face as he struggles to breathe. With the gun still in his possession, he points it at me. I yelp, scrabbling backwards, shaking my head as I stare into his hateful eyes. The Hulk yanks on the belt harder, my fathers head jerks back and he drops the gun, scratching at his neck. Amar storms past me, he snarls, punching my abuser four times in the face as he yells at him in his native tongue. I gulp, watching with wide eyes as my fathers head sags. The Hulk releases the belt from his neck and he falls to the ground like a sack of potatoes.

MALAYINAMay 15th 2018I stand behind the bar, serving an old man who won't stop talking my ears off. I slide a packet of nuts across the countertop to him and he chuckles, saying."My nuts use to be hard and salty back in the days too."
