Chapter Nine: Lydia Clyde

Jasmine calmly walked inside but was stopped by an enraging voice.

"Where are you coming from?" The husky hard voice asked and she flinched.

"What do you do? Any opportunity given to you, you use it with your concubines. I left home yesterday and you took turns and went your own way too." Nicholas fired and she gasped in shock with his statement.

Nicholas was angry, he didn't get a contract yesterday and it was because of her.

"No, it's not what you think," She said in a defensive manner.

"Oh, see who's trying to deny! Sluts everywhere. The main reasons I will never be by your side. I'm sure you don't go to work all the time. Slut"He gave a disgusted look and she rolled her eyes.

"I'm a slut now?" Jasmine said in sarcasm and clapped her hands. " You went out everyday and claimed you're at work?"

"That none of your business" Nicholas yelled and she laughed sarcastically.

"Then I think it is none of your business too…and you don't have the right to call me names. In r……

"Babyyyyyyy"A tiny voice chirped in their conversation and the door opened.

Jasmine frowned, she looked at the lady before him. "Who are you?" Jasmine asked and laughter followed.

"Who am I?"

"Lydia , why are you here?" He paused and glared at the bag in her hands. "With a bag? Common, you didn't tell me this last night." He rolled his eyes and her face turned red.

"Babyyyyy, I'm in need of help. I have trouble managing my finances. My house is due and I don't want to be a burden. I just want to be in your house for a few weeks." She whined like a baby and Jasmine scoffed.

"What is this? I care to get an explanation!"

"This is my house and you can't question my guest." Nicholas declared earning a glare from Jasmine.

She couldn't believe her ears, how can he be so blunt in front of his……

"I can help with the house rent," Jasmine offered.

"No…I don't want any from you. I'm his best friend and this is not your house, contracted wife." She scoffed and hissed.

"What?? Contracted wife?"

"Or, should I call you the street slut?"

Jasmine eyebrows creased as she clenched her fist. "Hey, woman. I won't watch you come from nowhere and start insulting me in my hubby's house. Whatever he had said to you about me or you overheard. I'm still his wife and we are legally married." She walked closer to her. "Just watch your tongue because If you put your hands in my mouth, I will bite it a thousand times. You should find something to do with your life, but then again I forgot, you're into a best friend and you even pack into his house even though you know he's married. Just watch your back and don't bark at me. You fool" Jasmine raised up her voice at her before striding into her room.

Lydia glared at Nicholas angrily with clenched fist. "You stand there, and watch her insult me and like that isn't enough, she even threatened me. Damian!!!"

Nicholas walked over to her. "Calm down babe. What you said was too much and she was mad. Just pack the things inside"

"Mee, pack my loads inside? No maids?"

Nicholas placed his hands on his forehead. "You could have even told me beforehand…I even dropped you at your house but you kept it away."

"I'm your best friend and I can do whatever. She shouldn't just dare me."

Jasmine heels made sounds on the trails as they diverted their attention to her.

"Since I'm going to work now, and you don't have work. You two should stay in and enjoy a very nice view of yourself. In the end, I'm still his wife." She smirked and glared at them then hisses before walking out of the house.

Bunch of fools.

She hopped into her car and started the engine.

"I didn't expect to see you this early." Flora smiled in surprise at jasmine's angry face.

"Did something happen again?" She asked while Jasmine looked around.

"Where is Laurette?" She asked.

"I had to leave her behind, we have a meeting around Nine and she's having a running stomach." Flora explained and she sighed.

"Right now, I just want to rest my brain."

Laurette packed her things, heading out of the house but was suddenly stopped with a loud bang. The door opened and she couldn't believe her eyes.

"Micheal" She called as she gasped in total shock, she placed her hand on her beating chest trying to calm down but it was to no avail.

The young man watched, with a smirk on his face. He enjoyed how frightened she was.

"Someone is scared of my return." He laughed sarcastically, matching forward to her standing posture but she stepped backwards as she tightened her hand in fright.

"What are you doing here!!!? How did you find my place" She asked in courage, yet fear was across her face.

She couldn't stand the fact that he was here again and she was sure he would ruin her.

"Hahahaha! Did I just hear you ask that silly question?" He coughed and returned his hands back into his pocket.

"Look who's frightened, she's trying to act courageous. Do you think you can run away from me?" He snickered and sat down with a proud smile.

"Please I beg of you. Micheal, we should leave the past behind and you can move on with your life."

Micheal laughed sarcastically like there was no end to the laughter. "You're my past? Hahahaha! Oh sure you are."

Micheal was Laurette's ex-boyfriend, and they were madly in love when she was in New Mexico. Micheal was a rascal person and he easily got anyone who stopped him killed. But Laurette hated it. She called the cops, packed her things and ran away with his money.

"So you think you can run away? Like a fly and I would never see you again? Did I remind you that you signed a deal with me and would always abide by that rule?"

She gasps, trying to gather some courage. "I understand that you want your money and you can send your details to my account, I will send your money. You can leave, "she said, gesturing her hand to the door.

"You think I would leave? Do you think I'm after the money now? You must really think low of me."

"Leaveeee!" She screamed, her eyes shut close but a hard slap suddenly landed on her face.
