Emerald's POVIt was just a few hours before Garret's brother arrived and I was in the library. Garret and his father were busy with pack business, in other words, trying to figure out what had happened with me the previous night. I knew they were searching for answers and I was grateful for it, but I knew that they wouldn't find anything. It was beyond their reach. It was something I would have to find. Emerald's POV"How could you-""I didn't use any witchcraft," I interrupt. "It was just common knowledge by how you talked about her."He sighed, closing his eyes. Emerald's POV"Can you... excuse me for a minute?" I say softly after Adam released my hand. It was clear he didn't feel anything that I had, that he was unaware of what had just currently happened. "You alright?" Darrel asked, having sensed my offputting feeling. "Yeah," I responded, maybe a little too quickly. EmeraldIt was an everyday experience when I woke up to Debra tending to me. I'd be unconscious for hours, unaware of my surroundings, feeling like I was in a sunken place where darkness was my only friend, to come back to bitter reality. When she'd notice me waking, she just smiled sadly at me and didn't speak a word. I could tell by her heartbeat and the aura that she was struggling to contain her emotions. EmeraldI can never bring myself to fully remember what happened after the stranger found my brothers and I. All I know is that we made it out alive. And from that day, they hated me ever since. I was locked in this room, away from the pack, away from civilization for nine years.
