CHAPTER 9.2

PAGKATAPOS NG hapunan kasama ang pamilya ay umuwi siya sa penthouse para magpahinga. Luscious felt exhausted for this day. Napakarami niya ring papeles na pinermahan sa kaniyang opisina.

Pabagsak siyang humiga sa malabot na kama nang tumunog ang kaniyang telepono. He growled before reaching for his phone. His eyebrows knotted together seeing who's in the caller's I.D.

'Shy?'

Ano na naman ba ang nakain ng kaniyang kaibigan at napili ata siyang guluhin nito. Luscious wanted to reject his call but he knew that his friend will never stop calling. Hindi siya nito patatahimikin.

He answered his phone in annoyance. "What?" Luscious snapped.

Dinig niya ang malakas na ingay na nagmumula sa background. Alam niyang nasa bar na naman ni Ace ang kaniyang magaling na kaibigan.

"Where are you, bud?" 

"Sa kalye siguro, idiot."

Shy chuckled. "Anyway, we're here in Sinner's bar. Sunod ka na lang."

"I can't," he replied in boredom.

"You can't or you won't." 

He tsked. "Basta ayoko."

"Ace wants you here. Bubuksan na 'yong VVIP room. He said his cousin will finally come."

"Tell him he can open that f*cking room without me."

"Come on, bud. You're no fun!" Shy scorned. "Or you want us to pick you up?"

"Let's go pick him up," Trev interjected from the other side of the line.

Napahilot na lamang siya ng sendito. Alam niyang hindi titigil ang mga ito kaya mabuti pang pumunta na lang siya kahut pa labag sa loob. He doesn't want his penthouse's door to be destroyed with his lunatic friends again. 

"I'll be waiting. Just pick me up. I don't want to drive." Mabilis niyang pinatay ang tawag nang hindi inaantay ang sagot ng kaniyang kaibigan.

He got up from his bed, and lazily walked towards his closet. Basta na lang siya humugot ng itim na t-shirt at ripped jeans. He took a leather jacket and a pair of comfortable shoes.

Pagkatapos magbihis ay inantay niya ang mga kaibigan sa living room. He glanced at his wristwatch. It's already nine in the evening.

Ilang sandali pa at dumating na rin ang kaniyang magagaling na kaibigan na nakangisi.

"You do realize that you both looked stupid, grinning like that. Geez, you're creeping the hell out of me."

Kasunod niyang sumakay ang mga ito sa elevator pababa sa building kung nasaan ang kaniyang penthouse.

"I'll finally see Ace's cousin," natatawang wika ni Trev na mukhang pagtitripan pa ang kaibigan nila.

Napailing na lamang siya.

"Balak mo bang pormahan?" Shy tittered.

"Nah, I still want my important body parts, attached." Trev chuckled. "Aasarin ko lang si Ace."

"Hey, Might. How's your new secretary?" Shy scoffed. "Wrath had been telling so much about her."

"And what's even more surprising is that, it's Engr. Buencamino." Trev paused. "You've got a lot of things to tell us,  bud."

"Shut the f*ck up, Trev. I've got nothing to tell you," he scoffed.

"What about what you did to make her your secretary?"

He glared at Trevor on his side. Nagtaas naman ito ng dalawang kamay na tila sumusuko.

Dumiretso agad sila sa parking lot kung saan naka park ang kotse ng dalawa niyang kaibigan.

He chose to ride with Shy in his Bugatti. They were silent during the whole ride when Shy spoke.

"You think we don't know, huh?" 

"Don't know what?" nagmamaang-maangan niyang tanong rito.

Shy tsked. "Come on, Might. Kaj already told us. Wrath even said you looked like a jealous boyfriend when Angel was with him."

"Jealous my a*s. And why would I be?"

"Hmm, dunno." Shy shrugged.

Nagkibit balikat na lang siya rito. Jealous? That's absurd!

"The gang will be there. Ace called everyone. Baka pag-uusapan na 'yong sa Seven Deadly Sins. Are you sure you're not participating this year?"

"I'm not interested," tipid niyang sagot rito.

Shy laughed over his breath. "Since when?"

He just shrugged, but didn't reply.

"Kailan ka pa hindi naging interesado doon, Might. Hot women including models and celebrities will be there," panguudyok sa kaniya nito. 

Hindi niya na lang pinansin pa ang kaibigan hanggang sa makarating sila sa Sinner's bar. Shy parked his car on the exclusive parking for them. Sabay silang lumabas ng kaibigan. Sinalubong naman sila ni Trevor na nakapamulsa.

Halos lahat ng kababaihan doon ay nasa kanila ang atensyon. Most of them are wearing sexy dresses good for seducing a man for the night— the usual. But he's not interested. Kahit pa malagkit ang tingin na ibinibigay sa kaniya ng mga kababaihan doon ay hindi niya alintana.

The usual Might would have a woman in his side the moment he stepped inside the bar, but not tonight. No. Ilang araw na rin pala siyang ganito. His bed had been vacant for more than a week now. Why is that? Was he loosing the interest for s*x already? That's b*llsh*t! Pero kahit siya ay hindi maintindihan ang kaniyang sarili.

Isang babae na lang ang tila nakakapagpabuhay sa kaniyang pagkalalake. And that is 'that woman'.

Luscious shook his head, his jaw clenching. No he can't be this way. He will have someone tonight. Someone to warm his bed and keep him sane.

He's sanity was slipping because of her. And he needed to get a grip, and hold himself up.

His face remained emotionless as they walked towards the entrance of the bar. Pero bago pa sila makalapit ay isa-isang nagsidatingan ang tatlong motorsiklong itim sa kanilang gilid. The riders all stopped at the red spot in front of the bar.

Alam niyang mga babae ang mga ito base na rin sa suot ng tatlo. But unlike all the girls here, they're clothed like they never care any less if men would find them boring.

Magkakasunod ang tatlong naghubad ng kaniya-kaniyang helmet.

His lips instantly parted at the sight of the woman wearing a fitted pair of jeans. Her top was a fitted croptop shirt. Kahit nakatagilid ito at nakalugay ang buhok ay alam niya kung sino ang babae. 

Luscious' eyes settled on the woman who pulled her hair into a bun. Kinagat nito ang pamusod mula sa sariling pulsuhan para itali ang buhok.

The woman looked simple, but d*mn hot! And it's none other than his secretary. She's with her friends.

"Kuya!" tawag ng dalagang my matamis na ngiti sa mga labi sa kaniyang kaibigang si Ace.

'Kuya? Does that mean she's Ace's cousin?'

Sigurado siyang walang babaeng kapatid ang kaniyang kaibigan. 

Small world.

Narinig niya ang pagsipol ni Trevor at Shy sa tabi, ngunit nanatili sa magandang dalaga ang kaniyang mga mata.

"It's show time."
