A small smile spread on her enticing rosy lips when the person she loves the most appeared in her dream. Her eyes were closed and features were calm, and that beautiful smile adorned her face. A few strands of her hair were on her face but they didn't disturb her peaceful sleep.
Jasmine tilted her head to the other side when she felt some intoxicating presence. The air was so tense and she felt a sudden urge to open her eyes and take a look at her surroundings. Ethan placed his right leg over the left as he watched Jasmine fluttering her eyes open. She immediately shut it when the light from the windows pierced through her eyes and again she opened them, this time slowly and he watched how her pupils dilated and lips parted when her eyes caught him. She was breathing through her mouth even when she could breath through her nose which showed him she's nervous and precisely scared. "Rise and shine Miss Johansson" his thick and fast accent made her too stunned to speak. His deep voice sent millions of shivers down her spine and she could clearly see her goosebumps. He looked like that handsome villain that appears in the movies. "Heard you were starving yourself. How was the experience?" He taunted her and smirked when she fisted her palm, indicating she's angry. "Cat got your tongue, huh?" This time it wasn't playful or mocking. It was serious. He wants an answer and she isn't giving him any. "Let's get straight to the point, Miss Johansson. Where did you put that phone?" He asked menacingly. He spread his legs and leaned forward, placing his elbows on his thighs as he watched her, more like glared at her. Jasmine gulped visibly at the roughness in his voice. She couldn't tell more lies, he'll easily catch her and the next moment she'll be dead. In the meantime she visualized her death, probably by his gun, bullet inside her head. "I don't have time to waste for you woman. Listen and listen carefully" He leaned back into the couch without breaking their eye contact. "You see that door?" He motioned towards the door on the right side and she nodded her head while looking into it. "It's open" suddenly a party popper of happiness blasted in her system as she gawked into it with happy eyes. Freedom, she thought but again a thought came into her mind. Why is he telling her this? Didn't he want that phone and kill her?. Her thoughts broke and was snapped out of the trance by his throaty chuckle. She dragged her head towards his direction to see him laughing at her like she did some kind of joke. "Did you think I'm going to let you go that simply? If so then you are nothing but a fool" his words made her angry more than he thought. If she could, she'll obviously throw a punch on his face and will put some senses into his thick skull which is full of ego and arrogance. "Come straight to the point" Ethan gritted his teeth when she used his own words against him. Her sharp tongue pissed him off. He didn't like it when someone, especially women, talks back to him except his mother. His eyes darkened and Jasmine at that moment regretted her words but she didn't show it, if she dies then she'll die with pride and dignity. "Tell me where that fucking phone is and you're free. That door is open for you. Tell me the truth and live your life to the fullest" he announced in his tone which made her think for a minute. He scares her, his mere sound scares her, how the hell is she supposed to fight him? Will he really let her go if she tells the truth? Dying by his hands will be decidedly painful. Well at least she can make it less painful right? Jasmine took a deep breath, inhaling and exhaling slowly. We shouldn't make decisions out of fear and when we are nervous, only a calm body and mind can make proper decisions. 'Tell him where you hide it, maybe he'll give you an easy death.' Her mind mumbled. 'No he's a murderer, he killed a father, Jasmine, Don't tell him.' Another sound echoed inside her head. 'No, tell him. Either way he is going to kill you. How can you release the evidence if he's going to kill you?' The same voice from the beginning said. Yeah it's right, either way she's going to be killed, there's no way he will let her live after her little stunt. It's better to have a less painful death. After swallowing her pride she opened her mouth, ready to tell him what he wanted but before any words could come out of her mouth the metal in her hand shone. Her eyes snapped towards it and she paused. Chris Holland. Her dead boyfriend, the one who got murdered. And her eyes welled up with tears, tears of guilt. She was going to tell him everything, she forgot the evil deeds he did. He murdered someone, he's a murderer. She swore on her life that she'll find her boyfriend's murderer but couldn't but she can at least get this murderer arrested, No? He too did the same. Took an innocent, loyal, guard's life because of his selfishness. Pathetic, Disgusting, Absurd. Every victim needs justice, her family needs justice, her boyfriend needs justice, that old bodyguard needs justice and maybe she can give it to them. With that new born confidence Jasmine opened her eyes, a pair of eyes which screamed pain and rage. The blood vessels in her eyes became more visible and eyelashes drenched in tears. She held back the tears which were eager to roll out from her eyes. "I told you I lost it. Maybe It's you who is a fool here, can't even understand a simple sentence" she blurted out in anger. Maybe the first sentence was enough but the inner angry self made her say those not so soothing words even though they were not that harsh. Ethan's eyes widened slightly hearing this. He didn't expect that, not in a million years. He thought he can manipulate her and her being a simple naive woman will fall into it but looks like he was wrong. Ethan's jaw clenched and unclenched. He slowly combed his hair back using his fingers and looked deadly into her eyes. "So you have a death wish?" Was his response. It was supposed to scare care but she cared less. Die? Then she'll die happily than listening to a prick like him. "Seems like you do Miss Johansson." He stood up, brushing off the imaginary dust. That wide smirk took her soul. It was beyond creepy, just like the Devil. That smirk made him look like Kisaki in Tokyo Revengers, a perfect villain. "You are nothing but a coward. Ordering your men to hurt a woman, it's not power, it's cowardice." She blunders out in order to save her chastity and life. She has to work smartly to get out of this problem. Ethan lost his remaining control when he heard her calling him a coward. Coward, that word resounded in his ears. Memories of childhood flashed in his mind, making him go nuts, lunatic. Coward, he hated that word with his everything. Those words from her mouth were enough to turn him into the beast he is. A merciless predator. With four big steps he was in front of her, choking her with his big rough hand. Jasmine's head was forced to the back and tears spilled out from her eyes when he added pressure on the grip. The air got blocked and she felt her lungs burning. Her windpipe might have broken her neck because the hold was painful, extremely tight, tight enough to kill someone. "You got some guts woman" he yelled near her ear, his jawline caressed her smooth cheeks and nose snuggled into her black silky hair. "But that is extremely dangerous for your health." Jasmine's lips parted and whimpered a little when the pressure increased. He's going to kill her, she declared. He withdrew his head from her ear and looked down to see her struggling. And that sight, he loved it, he fucking loved it. It was a blissful sight, according to him. Eyes shut and eyelashes and cheeks drenched in tears, nose red and lips parted. She's in pain, completely under his mercy. Only him can stop this all, this thought gave him a weird pleasure, she looked like a submissive kitten. Ethan's eyes rested on her parted wet pink lips more than it needed. That was beautiful just like her green orbs. They easily caught his attention, just like how a north pole attracts the south pole. Her lips, it was big and pink, and from the look he can assume that it's soft too. Sensitive. His grip on her neck loosened as his attention was on something else. Ethan's eye darkened when her petals quivered and a soft yelp left her mouth. Being the biggest pervert he is, he found it erotic. He couldn't help but make different scenarios in his head with this girl. With fake and dirty scenarios in his head, he leaned down. One hand was still on her neck while the other managed to grab her black locks. Distances, inches between their lips as he kept on coming closer to her. His eyes were fixed on the quivering rosy petals while her eyes were shut. His eyes refused to even blink, they didn't want to miss a single sight of her lips, an art of seduction. Jasmine's eyes snapped open when his hot breath hit her nose. Jasmine immediately jerked her head back but the hold in her neck and head forced her on the same place. Jasmine held her breath when their breath got mixed. It's hard to inhale the breath which is exhaled by him and inhaling at the same time as him is also impossible. She pursed her lips inwards, tightly, not wanting any mere touch and that's when Ethan's trance broke. He couldn't help but recall all the scenes. He was going to kiss her! Where do his senses go? He mentally scolded himself but didn't change their position, the only difference is that now he's looking into her eyes. He watched how her focal length increased and sweats formed on the side of her forehead and on top of her nose and she was breathing heavily too. He made her nervous? Yes, he made her nervous. A sound whispered inside his head. Ethan backed away from Jasmine and she released a sigh of relief. He scared the shit out of her, earlier he was scary but now he is petrifying. She never expected him to scoop this low and pull such an act. Did he think of her as one of his whore? Ethan smiled to himself watching all of this. He got it, he fucking got a way to torture her. She hated intimacy. He tried to scare her and even talked about killing her but that didn't work but now she was afraid. Their proximity scared her. Just like a deer caught in headlights. And now he's going to play and only play. • • • • • •Jasmine was inside the dressing room, her delicate fingers continuously wringing together as she let her breath out with a loud exhale. Her lips, painted with a bright cherry red color, were pressed into a thin line. Despite the cool temperature provided by the AC, it didn't manage to soothe her or keep her from sweating profusely, as if she were sitting inside a very hot sauna. The door to the dressing room swung open with a slight creak and Jasmine's eyes darted towards the direction from where the sound came, looking to see her aunt. She gently stood up, her hands clasped together in front of her as she watched the pair enter with a tiny smile on her aunt's face and a glimmer of guilt in her eyes."Jasmine" the woman uttered, her eyes sparkling with admiration as she admired the young woman standing in front of her. She had indeed grown up, the last time she saw her she was merely a young girl of sixteen. And now she was a fully grown woman and a mom with her own little bundle of j
Two years laterIt was a balmy morning, the sun looking all prepped to embark on its daily journey. Its bright, yellowish-orange light suffused the surrounding environment, illuminating the world from the blanket of darkness that covered it mere hours before. It was another typical Sunday, filled with the sweet sounds of music drifting out from houses to mix with the chatter of children gathered around their tables. Their parents moved about their homes, a single eye on their little ones while the other was fixed on their busy schedules. Some people were already out on the streets, jogging and walking with a smile on their faces. They waved cheerfully at every stranger who passed them, a small gesture of positivity to start their day.On the other hand, some people weren't quite ready to face the day. They snuggled up in their comfy beds, their faces buried in their pillows, savoring the rare respite of having a holiday.Ethan fit squarely into this category as he snuggled into his bi
Dream or reality?Delusional or truth?Imaginary or actual?I don't know. It's like deep within I know it's her and she's in front of me, looking back at me with the most beautiful pair of her viridian orbs but it's just that my mind isn't ready to believe it, like it's not ready yet to acknowledge the truth that lays in front of my own eyes. Why? Maybe because of the pain? The pain of betrayal and agony? Or maybe regret.. or maybe...maybe shame? Shame of what she's thinking of me. Embarrassed of myself that she might be judging me, mocking me. But the heart, it was beating faster and I'm not surprised cause that's how it always functioned near her. Beating like it will explode in any minute, the rush of blood and adrenaline, the unintentional movement of muscles in my face and body, the shivers down in my spine, I'm way too used to them now. From the corner of my eyes I caught my dad and Mr. Sinclair leaving. Good, privacy is what we need the most now.As we stood there looking at
Ethan's povDripping....blood dripping from my hand. Not mine, the blood of the disgusting man who now lays on the other end of the cell with me. Endured....a lot. Tried to talk… a lot. Nothing worked. Some people are like that. They won't understand with words, and those who don't understand by words, shall understand by actions. My eyes are boring holes on the wall opposite of me, glaring back at me. My back pressed against the other cold wall while I slumped against the floor. The video of me spread like wildfire. After I was arrested by the police, dad and Steven took the matter in hands and the video was removed from online. But who was I kidding? The field I am working on is business. No commitments, no attachments, just like the word says, pure business. And the number of rivals who are eager to take the position was too many that they did everything to at least put me inside these four thick walls. The irony? They all unite for this matter. All the rivals together, just wo
There she stood, motionless and unresponsive. Her body felt paralysis-like, and not a single muscle moved. Her sparkling green eyes were fixed on the speeding car heading her way, yet it was unclear if the headlights were mocking her or warning her to get out of the way. The glare was too much to handle, and she was not certain what was happening. She knew she had to act quickly. The stakes were high, as the cost of inaction was not only her life but also that of someone else. She had to make a quick decision because if something happened to her, it wouldn't just be one life lost - it would be two. Not only did she know she had to act quickly, but something was holding her back. A numbness had set in her body and despite the rising adrenaline, she couldn't make herself move. In that moment, she wondered why all of this had to happen to her.Because of Ethan?Could it be that all of this was happening as a result of her choice to ignore everything and be with him? Was this the univers
"That he fucking killed your dear ex-boyfriend, beautiful"Betrayed.. torn.. used.. Those were the feelings she felt as Massimo uttered those words to her and her heart broke within her chest. She begged and begged for Ethan to deny what he said was true, to tell her that whatever Massimo said was a lie. But when she saw his head lowered low and hanging he couldn't even meet her eyes, she knew that this was the end. The tears from her eyes flowed rapidly and her body seemed to shake uncontrollably with every passing second. As his head hung low and he refused to look her in the eye, she knew that the words that had been spoken held a truth she didn't want to accept, and her heart broke all over again at the realization. She wanted to scream at him and slap him, hit him out of her pain and betrayal, but she couldn't move herself to do so. She could only watch as the man she loved and trusted was breaking her heart with each passing instant, and all she could do was cry and beg for him
