MasukIn the dead of night, a strong male body pressed down on her... This became the fixed pattern every night: lights off, intimacy, endless each evening. She thought it was her husband, who she believed to be away on a business trip, returning early. But then, the other woman showed up, waving a pregnancy test, claiming that her husband had been with her all this time. So, who exactly was the man sharing her bed and her nights?

“Mother!” I screamed out loud in tears as I watched my mother being torn apart by a rogue.
Other children and mothers ran off with fear in their hearts and they were all screaming, except for me, whose mother was stuck in the hands of a rogue.
Tears rolled down my eyes uncontrollably, and my heart ached in so much pain as she also cried out, trying to shield herself from the rogue’s claws. But he was too strong for her. As he slammed her to the ground, she looked towards my side with tears in her eyes.
“Run!” She urged me with every strength in her.
“Mother!” I cried again, and tried to stand with the excruciating pain I was feeling at my back.
Right when the attack had started, I tried to also attack the rogue, so it wouldn’t hurt my mother, but he hit me across the wall, and something sharp scratched my back, but was a little deep. I fell right to the floor in tears and my mother tried to run to me, but the rogue grabbed her back.
I immediately rose to my feet and tried to run towards the pack house to call father for help, but at that moment, I saw my father and his warriors rushing towards us. My heart beamed with joy that my mother would be saved, but as I turned back to look at her, I saw the rogue rip out her heart while her eyes were still open and on me.
I fell right to the ground in shock and my mouth gaped open. This couldn’t be. My mother possibly couldn’t be dead. No way.
My father pounced on the rogue and also tore him apart, then he held my mother’s body and growled out loud in pain.
“Lyra, no!” He shouted at the top of his voice as tears strolled down his eyes.
That was the first time I ever saw my father cry even when I had witnessed him suffer deadly wounds and attacks. Never did he cry because of the pain. He was already stained all over by mother’s blood as he hugged her tight like he wasn’t ready to let her go. But she was gone.
Minutes later, other guards went close to him, and separated him from his dead wife, and he buried his face in his palms after they took her from his arms.
Then I walked up to him while crying bitterly as I wanted to pacify him too.
“Father.” I called to him softly.
But instead, he rose to his feet with his eyes burning with anger.
“You!” He raised his voice at me, and the back of his hand struck mercilessly across my face.
“Ahh!” I screamed in pain.
The swat of his hand was hard on me that I fell to the ground. His claws had teared from my left eye and across my nose bridge to part of my cheek. I felt blood streaming down from my face and the pain stung me deeply.
“Father.” I whimpered in fear.
“You are the reason she died, and you wanted to run away. I always knew that you being an omega would cause issues. You have just proven to be nothing but a useless weakling.” My father spat those words at me in an angry manner.
His words were like a dagger to my little heart, and I only stood, watching him dumbfoundedly.
“Take her away and lock her up in her room with no food to eat!” He ordered his guards and they bowed before they took his order.
The guards grabbed my arms and one of them swung me over his shoulder as they headed back home. I couldn’t struggle to set myself free or anything, because it was all going to be for nothing.
On getting home, I was thrown into my dark room and they locked the door. I cried out so hard and began to hit my fist against the door. I wanted to see my mother for the last time, but no one heard me.
“Why did this have to happen?” I said with so much pain in my heart.
If only I didn’t bug my mother to take me to the playground, no rogue would have taken her life today, and father will never be this angry with me.
After for what seemed like a few hours, my door opened and Ingrid, my twin sister walked in.
“Ingrid.” I uttered with tears in my eyes as I rose to my feet.
Tears were also in her eyes and she seemed very angry with me. Before I knew it, she also raised her hand and slapped me right across where father had clawed me.
“Ouch! Ingrid!” I voiced out in pain.
“It’s because of you mother met her demise. Because of you, pain and sadness has struck our family, and I will never forgive you for that. For always taking more attention from mother, and leading her to her death before I could enjoy as much love as I want from her. Mark my words, from today on, you will regret you were ever born.” She threatened and then walked out of my room, then slammed the door shut.
More tears streamed down my face all through that night until the next day when I was called out to attend my mother’s funeral. Everyone cried and said a lot of good things about her. And even when they were done with the funeral rites, people joined in groups to have conversations while I went somewhere secluded to cry out my eyes.
“Mother, I miss you. I’m sorry.” I sobbed and continued to wipe my tears.
“Hey.” I heard a soft voice call out to me and I immediately cleaned my tears and raised my head up only to see one of the Alpha Princes standing before me with a flower in his hand. “Here.” He said, handing over the flower to me.
I received the flower and looked at it while more tears streamed down my face
“Don’t worry, your mother will always be with you. I’m Reece.” He said with a gentle smile, and hugged me tight before he walked away.
As he walked away, I stared at him and cleaned my tears while looking at the flower, and feeling my mother’s love. In a few minutes, my father and Ingrid were walking towards me with a scary look.
From that moment, I knew that my horrible life without my mother had just started.
"How is the surgery going?"Accompanied by Vanessa Luke and An Zihao, Lillian Veblen rushed to the ICU ward where Mo Yuezhen was lying. Armand Coleridge had just wheeled out of the chief doctor's office.Armand Coleridge's gaze swept over Vanessa Luke and An Zihao; they nodded at him, and he nodded back in acknowledgment. Time had passed, and Vanessa Luke and An Zihao now had a child, and the naive feelings Vanessa Luke once held for Armand Coleridge had long since dissipated."The surgery was successful, but..." Armand Coleridge hesitated, his words trailing off."But what?" Lillian Veblen anxiously pressed."But he hasn't woken up yet, and the doctors aren't sure when he will. It could be a day, a week, or even a year, five years... or maybe he'll never wake up!" Armand Coleridge sighed softly.Lillian Veblen felt a jolt in her head, as if something heavy had struck her chest. "You mean... he might become a vegetative patient?""That's what the doctor said," Armand Coleridge n
Her heart seemed to stop abruptly.Lillian Veblen gazed at Bernard Coleridge, who lay motionless, and her breath caught in her throat as if she had fallen into an ice cellar. She nearly lost her balance, but fortunately, Armand Coleridge steadied her in time. She heard the conversation between Elliot Coleridge and the doctor."How is my son now?" Elliot Coleridge asked with deep concern."Master Mo is currently in a deep coma. Our hospital's most authoritative doctors are at a loss and dare not perform surgery rashly. However, we have urgently contacted foreign experts in this field, and they will arrive tomorrow," the doctor said solemnly. After hearing this, Lillian Veblen's frown deepened. She never expected that Bernard Coleridge would be so severely injured. His condition was now life-threatening, and his survival hung in the balance."I want to go in and see him," Lillian Veblen suddenly requested."This... We generally do not allow family members to enter the high-risk
It was Mo Yuenchen's voice!"I... I'm here..." Lillian Veblen emitted a faint, low voice. She knew that Mo Yuenchen had come to save her, and her heart suddenly filled with joy.But at this moment, her voice was hoarse, and her throat was dry; she couldn't shout loudly."Lillian Veblen, Lillian Veblen..." Mo Yuenchen continued to call out desperately, searching for her in the raging fire.At the same time, the main door was completely smashed open, and several policemen rushed in to rescue people."There she is!" One of the sharp-eyed policemen spotted Lillian Veblen lying on the ground and pointed at her, shouting.Hearing this, everyone, including Mo Yuenchen, rushed towards Lillian Veblen.Mo Yuenchen was the fastest and most anxious, leading the way."Jier, don't be afraid, I've come to save you!" Mo Yuenchen was the first to reach Lillian Veblen, picking her up from the ground."Thank you..." Lillian Veblen smiled weakly at him, speaking with little strength."I'll take
"Shao Xi, don't do anything rash!" Miranda Veblene's body suddenly stiffened, and she shouted in panic."Shut up! I don't want to hear your nonsense!" Lambert Veblen's expression was wild, and he barked through gritted teeth."Lambert Veblen, let Lillian Veblen go!" Mo Yuchen got out of the driver's seat, his face dark and his tone cold with a commanding edge."Stop, don't come any closer! If you take one more step, I swear I'll kill her right now!" Lambert Veblen raised his voice, pressing the knife against Lillian Veblen's neck, threatening loudly.Lillian Veblen, who was already in pain from being choked, now had the knife's tip pressed against her neck. Her delicate skin immediately split open, and blood began to flow, dripping slowly to the ground from the knife's edge.Mo Yuchen dared not make any sudden moves. With Lillian Veblen in Lambert Veblen's hands and a knife at her throat, provoking him would only harm her directly."Lambert Veblen, calm down! Don't hurt the hosta
"Bernard Coleridge, how do you explain all of this?" Lillian Veblen frowned as she looked at Bernard Coleridge, hoping he could give them a satisfactory explanation."Lillian, I need to investigate this matter thoroughly, but you have to believe me. Although the Mo Corporation did purchase the land
"Alan?" Upon hearing this, Lillian Veblen immediately pushed away Mo Yuenchen: "How did he end up here?"Mo Yuenchen was also somewhat surprised and had no choice but to let go of Lillian Veblen: "Let him in first, and we'll talk.""Okay." Lillian Veblen nodded seriously, getting up from him and s
"Did you hear that? You're saying she... she is our President's wife, Lillian Veblen?" Gao Yaru was completely stunned, her lips quivering as she exclaimed in disbelief.Lu Sijia beside her was also frozen in shock, eyes wide open."Why, do you not believe me? Do you want President to personally c
The workers had already dug the grave and set up the tombstone. Lillian Veblen, dressed in a long black dress with her hair tied back, held a large bouquet of camellias in one hand and Martin Veblen's urn in the other. Behind her, followed Fenfen and Yangyang. Yangyang was wearing black suspenders,
