Chapter 8: She Kicked Him

In the charming depths of Armand Coleridge's peach-blossom eyes, a glimmer of light flashed by. He thought she had finally come to her senses. His eyebrows slightly arched, and the corners of his mouth curved up, as his seductive thin lips uttered a single word: "Good!"

Lillian Veblen's gaze deepened, with a quick flash of cunning brilliance in her eyes. She leaned slightly towards him, standing on tiptoe, her delicate hands resting on Armand Coleridge's shoulders. "Uncle, I'm here!" she said, blinking her eyes and giving a faint, almost imperceptible smile.

Armand Coleridge was momentarily stunned by her smile, his whole body freezing in place. This was what they meant by a smile that could captivate a city. Lillian Veblen tilted her lips, deliberately moving closer to him in a flirtatious manner, blowing a warm breath onto his strikingly handsome face.

Armand Coleridge felt a jolt of electricity surge through his body, a small flame igniting in his lower abdomen. Who was teasing whom? He couldn't shake off the feeling that he was being teased. Armand Coleridge, who had always been carefree and treated women like clothes, was experiencing for the first time a woman daring to challenge him back. His deep, captivating eyes narrowed slightly, a rare look of interest spreading across his beautiful face.

Lillian Veblen wrapped her arms around his neck, her eyes full of allure. The closer she got to Armand Coleridge, the more she felt the intense heat emanating from his body. When her red lips were just a centimeter away from his, she clearly felt his lower abdomen pressing against hers.

"Bastard!" Lillian Veblen cursed inwardly. Armand Coleridge, her uncle by marriage, was actually reacting to her! What a beast!

Despite her deep disdain, she maintained a sweet and smiling facade. "Uncle, close your eyes!" she said, her red lips parting in a coquettish tone.

Armand Coleridge's eyes darkened, and he leisurely scanned her, curious to see what this woman was up to. As soon as he closed his eyes, Lillian Veblen immediately stuck out her tongue in disgust, making a vomiting gesture.

"What are you doing? Hurry up and kiss me!" Armand Coleridge urged impatiently, his magnetic voice accompanied by a wave of hot breath.

"I promise you'll never forget this kiss!" Lillian Veblen lifted her head, a malicious smile playing on her lips. In the next second, she raised her knee and delivered a fierce kick to his groin.

"Damn it!" Armand Coleridge gasped in pain, completely unprepared for Lillian Veblen's boldness.

"Groin pain is all the rage these days! Was it unforgettable?" Lillian Veblen burst into laughter, her heart filled with the satisfaction of revenge. But thinking about how he had treated her last night, she still felt unsatisfied. Kicking him once was too lenient. So, without mercy, she lifted her leg again and kicked his buttocks several times.

"You, you..." Armand Coleridge raged, utterly humiliated, wanting to grab Lillian Veblen but unable to move due to the pain.

Ha ha! It was so satisfying to see him in such a predicament! Lillian Veblen clapped her hands, disgusted by any trace of his presence, and stuck out her tongue at the man who was writhing in pain like a caged beast.

"Goodbye, let's see if you dare to have designs on me again! Hmph!" She grabbed her bag and quickly fled the scene.

Lillian Veblen ran as fast as she could, afraid that Armand Coleridge might catch up or send someone after her. She kept looking back, checking for any pursuers. Fortunately, no one was following her.

Just as she was about to breathe a sigh of relief, there was a loud "thud," and she collided with a solid, broad chest.

"Ouch!" Lillian Veblen cried out in pain, instinctively rubbing her forehead. She was about to curse whoever had dared to block her path when she looked up and found herself staring into a pair of unfathomable, black, icy eyes.
