I cussed Robin for leaving me alone. I thought, She is going to help me but nah why would she do that? Because I have created this mess and now, I have to clean it. I heard Ed cleared his throat to caught my attention.

I turned around hesitantly to face him, finding it impossible to meet his gaze. Guilt washed over me as I thought about how much I had lied to him. I felt like a terrible person.

“Hey… again,” I said, waving my hand awkwardly and forcing a smile. I cringed at my own behavior, feeling ridiculous as I stood there waving my hand in front of him. I quickly grabbed my own hand to stop the waving.
