KADEN’s POV

I tightened my father's tie one last time, giving him a wary smile in the mirror. "Nervous, Dad?"

He let out a long breath. "After all these years, you'd think I'd be used to it. But marrying Julia...I feel like the luckiest man alive."

“You deserve to be happy again,Dad.”

Just then, Cameron barged in, face reddened in anger. "I won't pay that ridiculous fine. You need to talk to that Judge and—" He stopped short, noticing Dad. "Oh...right. Happy wedding day."

The court had slapped him with a significant fine and he was furious.

Dad sighed. "Can we please not do this today, son? I know the ruling was unfair, but—"

"Unfair? They're trying to ruin me!" Cameron exploded. “You could have done something about this Dad!”

I interrupted, hoping to diffuse the tension. "Why don't we table this discussion for later? Dad, you look perfect—we shouldn't keep the bride waiting."

“Easy for you to say Kaden,” he glared at me.”This is all your fault in the first place isn’t it?”
