The Evil Boss

When all of his subordinates went for lunch, Grey, who was looking at his laptop screen, suddenly smiled to himself. The man then touched his lips and felt the sensation of a kiss.

He looked at his laptop screen. It was time for lunch. He seemed to be ready to leave soon. However, his phone suddenly vibrated. Grey frowned. He reached for his phone and saw the name displayed on the screen. The smile on his face disappeared.

"Hello?" he answered.

"Grey, I'm glad you picked up my call. Guess where I am?" the voice on the phone sounded cheerful. But Grey's face didn't show any feelings like that.

"What do you want? Why did you call?" Grey asked coldly.

"Oh, are you still angry? Why do you answer me like that? Listen, I'm in front of your office building now. Let's have lunch together. How about it?" Hela's voice sounded cheerful. She seemed to ignore Grey's cold response.

"I already have plans," Grey refused.

"Oh, come on. I know you're lying. Let's have lunch together as we used to," the voice on the other end of the phone sounded persistent.

"Hela, didn't we break up?" Grey sighed.

"Grey, come on. That wasn't serious. When I said I wanted to break up, I was just testing you. But I didn't mean it," Hela explained.

Grey sighed. "What do you want?"

"I want to make up with you. Come on, let me treat you to lunch this time."

Grey fell silent. It was always like this. Several times when Hela and he argued, Hela always shouted for a breakup. Then, a few days later, Hela would come back sulking and coaxing. It was repetitive, and it made Grey tired. After their last argument yesterday when Hela threw various items at him and threatened to break up, Grey had decided that he had to stop at some point.

Out of frustration and confusion, Grey went to the bar, ordered a drink, and enjoyed it alone while thinking, this is the end. He couldn't continue to be under Hela's pressure.

Then, Keyara appeared in the dimness and low music. And she kissed him. All the darkness Grey felt melted away like enjoying a warm mozzarella cheese.

Grey even forgot that he was fighting with Hera.

Now, Hela, as usual, came back. As if she didn't feel guilty about what she did. She acted sweet. It seemed that Grey had to take action.

"Grey..." Hela's voice called from behind the phone. "How about it? I'm waiting for you. I'm standing near your office gate. Don't make me wait too long. I'll be embarrassed if I have to attract too much attention." Hela urged.

Right, Grey sighed to himself. This woman hasn't changed. She's sweet for a moment but still impatient

Grey let out a sigh and then said calmly, "Alright. I'll meet you soon."

"Yay!" the voice on the other end sounded happy, then burst into laughter.

Grey immediately closed his laptop, took his phone, and put it in his pants pocket. He walked towards the door and found his secretary getting ready to stand up.

"Mr. Grey," Kira nodded at Grey.

"I'll have lunch first. I might be late, so if there's any schedule, you can reschedule it for the afternoon."

"Alright, sir," she replied.

Grey then walked out and arrived in front of the elevator. Some employees were still sitting at their desks, while others chose to take the stairs. Grey waited for a moment, and then the elevator he was waiting for arrived. He stepped in and the elevator door closed.

However, moments later, the elevator door opened again. Two girls, Ruri and Anya, were standing in front of the elevator. Both girls were surprised to see Grey already inside the empty elevator.

Ruri nudged Anya's waist, feeling awkward seeing their boss in the elevator. Of all the opportunities, why did they have to run into the boss before lunch?

Grey noticed his two employees and raised an eyebrow. "Are you getting in?" he asked with his deep voice that could make women melt.

"We'll wait, sir. Someone's left something behind. Please go ahead," Ruri said, immediately taking her friend's hand to move away from the elevator and pretending to go back to the office.

Grey then pressed the close button, and the elevator went down.

Anya and Ruri stopped in the middle of the hallway, looking towards the elevator that had closed.

Ruri rubbed her chest in relief. "Oh my god, I was so surprised. Meeting Mr. Grey in the elevator."

"Yeah, our boss is handsome but terrifying!" Anya said, feeling Ruri's horror. The two of them had a clear reason to be afraid of Grey.

They had both been scolded by their boss to the point of running to the bathroom to cry.

Grey Reed had a handsome face, but his personality was like a cruel devil. Stern, firm, and temperamental, that was the impression he gave to his employees. But his business was incredibly successful. No one knew what luck the CEO had.

Despite his bad attitude, he always managed to make all his businesses advance and excel.

"He's not here anymore, right?" Anya asked again.

"I'm scared to be in an elevator with him. I might forget to breathe," said Ruri, which was immediately followed by Anya's laughter.

"You're funny, Ri!" said Anya while holding her waist. "So, do you want to go back to the elevator?"

"No way, I'm traumatized. Let's take the stairs."

"Seriously, the stairs are quite a lot. Come on, the boss has probably already gone for lunch," Anya protested.

It was better to take the elevator, or else their legs would be tired after going down seven floors. Besides, Anya's stomach was already grumbling for food. So, she forcefully pulled Ruri's arm to get on the elevator.

They stood in front of the elevator, and not long after, the elevator opened. The elevator was filled with several people coming down from the top floor, likely from the 3D division. They were crowded, and luckily Anya and Ruri could squeeze in among the guys and girls who were going to lunch.
