ALEXANDRIA

“Alexei Hyde?” a woman with a voluptuous body, wearing clothes that were definitely inappropriate for a learning institution, asked with an annoyed expression.

I pursed my lips and looked to see if I had gotten the room number correct. Yeah… this was the room written on the slip.

“Is this for detention?” I asked.

She sighed and pointed to her placecard on the table. Her name was written, and underneath it was her designation—Bianca Baby, School Disciplinarian.

I frowned for

ALEXANDRIA “Yeah,” Wyatt answered with a smirk. “We did.” I elbowed him hard before he could say anything else. He didn’t react physically, but the smug look he sent me afterward made me want to commit violence.“Anyway,” Chad said, stepping forward while holding up a glowing blue stone between his fingers. “We tied.”Beside him, James sighed and lifted his own stone too.Mr. Ford glanced between them before giving a curt nod. “Then both of you will have a rematch then.” “What about you two?” he asked. Wyatt slowly pulled something from his pocket. A familiar golden stone glinted beneath the lights. My stone.I stared at it for one second before a curse slipped under my breath. Mr. Ford nodded. “Wyatt advances then. James and Chad will play for another five—“Wait.” The word left my mouth before he could finish.Everyone looked toward me.Slowly, I reached into my pocket. Wyatt’s expression shifted slightly. With that, I pulled a black stone from my pocket. The silence in the

ALEXANDRIA“You really had to choose me, huh?” I asked the moment the metal door shut behind us with a heavy clang. The automatic lock clicked immediately after. My eyes instantly swept across the room to look for any cameras. I subtly exhaled when I didn’t find any. Although, it made a lot of sense. If Alpha Academy truly intended for Damon to win, then the last thing they would want was evidence of whatever happened inside these walls. Classic Alpha Academy. Corrupt to the core. I slowly turned back toward Wyatt while keeping one hand casually near my pocket, where my stone remained hidden.“Did you think I’d be easier to beat?” I asked as a follow-up question. However, the second my gaze landed on him properly, my breath caught. Wyatt was staring at me in a way that made heat crawl up my spine almost instantly.Hungry.My body reacted before my brain did, instinctively taking a small step backward. The corner of his mouth lifted slightly.“No,” he murmured. The low rasp of his

ALEXANDRIA“The leaders are being called.”Chad’s voice dragged me out of sleep like a bucket of cold water.I groaned and buried my face deeper into the pillow, refusing to acknowledge reality for another five seconds. “Wake up, roomie,” he sang. It seemed he was in one of his playful moods today. I frowned and turned over, only to find him standing beside my bed shirtless as usual, his light hair still damp from a shower. Sunlight streamed through the dorm windows behind him. He smirked when he saw my expression.“Are you ready to get your ass beaten again today?”I clicked my tongue.“Your ass is the one getting beaten here.”An amused chuckle escaped him as I pushed myself upright. My entire body still felt warm and heavy from lack of proper sleep. Or maybe from the memories that refused to leave my head.Wyatt’s hands.Wyatt’s voice.Wyatt’s mouth—Nope. I wasn’t going back there.I aggressively ran my fingers through my hair as if that would somehow erase the thoughts. The mo

CALEBI tapped my fingers against the wooden table while my phone rested against my ear.Tap.Tap.Tap.The sound echoed softly throughout the dim room.Outside my office windows, rain poured endlessly. Lightning flashed occasionally, illuminating the single piece of paper on my desk.“How unfortunate,” I murmured into the phone. “So you’re telling me the bodies were discovered?”On the other side of the line, Damon clicked his tongue.“You killed them carelessly, Caleb. You should have killed them where no one would be able to find them,” he said angrily. I subtly shook my head. My little brother had always been far too emotional for my liking. He was too reactive and angry. All the worst qualities an Alpha could possess.I leaned back slowly in my chair, staring up at the ceiling.“Carelessly?” I repeated softly. “You make it sound as though their lives mattered.”“They were discovered too early,” Damon snapped. “You should’ve handled it discreetly.”A chuckle escaped me.“My dear

WYATTPeople always assumed power came from fear. That was the first mistake they made about me.Fear was temporary. Fear made people obey because they had no choice. However, trust made people bleed beside you willingly. Trust made the stay. I learned that difference far too young. I was eight years old the first time I saw my father hit my mother. The memory remained painfully clear, no matter how much time passed. My mother stumbled against the kitchen counter while trying to shield herself from a man twice her size.“You think you can leave me?” my father snarled. Teivel was his name, so fitting for a demon like him. He came from the Alpha Clan of the Carnage Pack, and although he wasn’t in the direct lineage, he was bound to be given a high position in their patrol team. It was always what he yelled whenever he got drunk. However, my mom said there was once a time when my father loved her a lot. He left the Carnage Pack to live with my mom’s smaller pack, still an unnamed o

ALEXANDRIAThe way Wyatt said it sent an annoying shiver down my spine. It looked like he already knew the answer. I forced myself to look away from him and climbed out of the bed before he could say anything else that would make my resolve crumble. My legs still felt weak, but thankfully, not weak enough to embarrass myself again.“You should get ready for class,” I muttered while avoiding his gaze.A low chuckle escaped him from behind me.“You’re running away.”I grabbed the nearest pillow and threw it at him. Wyatt caught it easily with one hand, looking too pleased with himself. God, he was unbearable.“Get dressed,” he said. “Your clothes are all cleaned.” I glanced at the couch next to his bed and found that my clothes were indeed properly cleaned already. “When did you do it?” I muttered. He just shrugged and went to the bathroom. “I’ll just get dressed, too. I’ll take you back to your dorm.”***“Your scent died down,” he said as we walked through the grounds. “It’s becau
