CHAPTER 25

The cold wind embraces me as I went out of the veranda, the dark sky greeted me and some stars were visible shining, standing out in the darkest of the night. I put my gaze to the ocean with its waves sending back and forth restless to the land, the way it moves uncontrollably made me smile. It’s like it’s trying to communicate with me, and it completely understands, gives sympathy to what I am feeling inside.

My eyes landed on the two shadows sitting on the bench and for the second time today, my heart hammered in pain. Why do I feel like the game isn’t starting yet I already lose it? I turn around, I don’t wanna see them anymore.

As tears started to pool again, I hush myself and went directly to my bathroom in front of a mirror. I glared at my reflection and wipe the tears immediately before they could fall.
