CHAPTER 2

Rolling to the soft mattress I was lying on, I slowly opened my eyes. Just to be welcomed by an unfamiliar ceiling. Wait? Is this my room? My eyes instantly widened. And glanced at my dress, I sighed in relief when I noticed that I’m still wearing the same dress last night. But wait…

The last time I remember I was in the Coleman Empire, and that monster was in front of me before everything went black. Quickly roaming my eyes on the whole room, I was amazed a bit when I was surrounded by a transparent wall and the buildings can be seen from here. No Jada, this isn’t the time to appreciate this, you’re not in your room.

I was about to stand up when I noticed that my left hand was locked on the bed’s frame. What the f*ck?

But my gaze shifted to the table just a bit distance from me, the key was on top of it. How stupid he is?

I tried to reach for the key using my right hand but it was still distant. Then an idea pops into my head, I smiled mischievously and flexed my body extending my long legs to reach the table. It didn’t even give me sweats as I slowly unlocked the chains. I wrapped myself up and didn’t waste any more time to escape.

***

“What the f*ck Kendra! I’m telling you he’s a monster!” I growled over to the phone in front of me.

“Okay, Jada please be calm.”

“There’s no way I’ll be calm here Kendra! He almost kills me!” I roared.

“I’m telling you if I got myself killed by him, you’ll be the first one my ghost will visit!” I added.

“Alright, I’m sorry okay? What’s important now is you’re safe and you’re in your mansion already right?” She asked.

I rolled my eyes even she cannot see it.

“Have you lured him?” She asked. Then suddenly I remembered our deal, of right Jada, you just lost your Bugatti.

“Of course not! He’s a demon Kendra!” I shot back.

Hearing her chuckles made me regret what I’ve said. I should’ve just said that I successfully lured him. After all, I risked my life on it. Well, I can’t take it all back. I lay on my mattress lifelessly thinking about my upcoming race next week.

“It’s alright Jada, there will be next time.” She commented.

My brows instantly furrowed.

“That will never happen again!” I growled.

“But tell me, he’s freaking handsome right?” She asked. Yeah he is, no lies on it. But it won’t still change my hate over him.

“No,” I replied instead.

“Oh c’mon Jada, that’s impossible. He’s a God-looking one.” She replied.

“You know what, just shut up. I don’t want my day to be ruined by him.”

“Fine, I have to hang up now anyway, my shoot will start. Bye!” She exclaimed before I heard the call end.

I stared at my ceiling for a couple of minutes before I decided to stand up. I quickly took a short cold shower and wore my black jacket and shorts. Making my hair in a messy bun, and finishing it by wearing my favorite black boots. Glancing at my reflection on my full-size mirror, I smiled.

Heaving a deep breath before I went out of my room and walk downstairs.

“Good morning!” I exclaimed when I finally reached them on the table, they were happily eating just before I came, their smiles instantly vanished.

My older sister is Macy, and my second is Paris. They didn’t throw me a glance and eat silently. Like I just broke the happy aura seconds ago. I’m the youngest, yet the outcast.

But I completely ignored them and sat on my chair. I’m used to this ever since I was a kid, what’s new?

“I heard you went home this morning Jada?” Mom asked breaking the silence, only the food utensils can be heard on the table, while Dad was firmly reading the newspaper.

I glanced at mom.

“Yes.” I plainly said and went back to eating.

“Stop tainting our family name Jada, it might affect our company business in the future!” She growled.

“She doesn’t care about that, she just wants to get drunk and flirt with other boys out there!” Macy speaks this time.

Gripping on my spoon and fork firmly, I remain quiet and continued eating.

“She even stops schooling Mom, what else awaits for her in the future?” Paris stated.

I smiled bitterly.

“By the way, Jada, did you withdraw a 100k on my bank account yesterday?” Mom asked suddenly. I frowned at glanced at her.

“What would I do with a 100k when I have my credit card?” I shot back.

She quickly raised her brows at me.

“She probably gives that to her boyfriend's mom,” Macy commented. I rolled my eyes and stands up.

“As far as I remember, I’m not the one who got pregnant at a young age here and aborted my child. Look who’s a real flirt here? Even the innocent child lost her life because of someone’s irresponsibility and cowardness of facing the consequences she created? ” I mocked her as a smile slowly formed on my lips. They probably bully me, but I don’t tolerate it. Hate me or what, I won’t let someone step on me. I won’t be that stupid damsel in distress and let someone abuse my kindness, that’s not me.

“Jada,” Dad warned this time. I’m still not removing my gaze on Macy.

“What? Am I lying here? So don’t accuse me of flirting and stealing something I didn’t. If there will be someone to do that, it’s just between you two, Paris and Macy.” I snarled at them.

“Enough!” Dad exclaimed.

“M-mom!” Paris pitifully asked for mom’s help.

“Get out Jada.” Mom stated.

I shrugged. I was done eating anyways. Without any words to say, I walked out of the dining area proudly.

“Jada come back here! Where do you think you’re going?!” Dad growled.

I chuckled. They’re a bunch of psychos.

“Don’t worry too much Dad, I’ll be home later!” I sarcastically exclaimed and ran out of the mansion.

Driving my black Lamborghini Veneno, the mansion quickly vanish from my vision. Those people living there were extremely suffocating. I don’t even know how did I able to stand with their attitude for twenty freaking years.

I turned on my radio to lighten up my mood and speed my car to its maximum until I couldn’t visualize the corner of my eyes, as it became blurry.

In just a couple of minutes, I’m parking my car to the V.I.P area but quickly taken aback when a Lykan Hypersport pulled over. Is he nuts?

I didn’t move and let the driver go out of it, just when I recognized who he was. I droved in front of him that made him stop.

He glanced at my car once again and shook his head before getting inside his car and giving me the space. I pulled over and went out of it immediately.

“Jada! Long time no see, sorry about earlier. I failed to recognize your car, you haven’t visited this place since last week didn’t you?” Martini asked. He’s one of my co-racers.

“Yeah, I’ve been busy,” I replied and glanced at the cars rushing in the middle of the racing line.

“So you’ll join the race next week?” He asked.

“I don’t know,” I replied. Should I use Dad’s credit card for an 18 million dollar car? He’ll probably lock me in my room if I do that.

“Why? Your car seemed to be in great condition.” He commented.

I shook my head.

“I don’t know, I’m still working on that,” I replied, maybe I’ll just ask Kendra about it.

“If you say so, I heard some foreign racers will compete. It’s our chance.”

That made me bite my lip. It’s a great opportunity.

A Ferrari F60 parked in front of us.

“Hi, Jada!” Lexus the driver greeted.

I just nod at him.

“Race?” He asked.

“I’m not in a mood Lexus.” I shot back.

“Oh really? Or you’re afraid of me I guessed?”

I glanced at him coldly.

“Do you think so?”  I asked before flashing my most annoying smile at him.

“I’ll wait for you there.” He asked before roaring his engine and going back to the racing place.

“Hey Jada, just ignore him.” Martini commented. I shift my gaze at him and shrugged.

“You know me, Martini,” I replied and went to my car.

Someone needs a lesson here.

I pulled over in line with his car. Lexus waved his hand once again which made me roll my eyes at him. Martini counted for the ‘go’ signal. And when the flag has been pulled down, I quickly maneuvered the wheel. Purposely letting him get in front of me. I made him believe that I was on my maximum speed already, how stupid he is.

When we’re getting half of the race track. I smiled and quickly shifted my speed to its maximum, leaving him behind. Until we reached the finish line he wasn’t able to cope with my speed.

The game is over dear.

“You’re still the Jada I knew.” Martini commented when I got to him closer. I wasn’t getting off my car as I plan to get home early and change,  I’ll visit Kendra for my request later.

Lexus went to us.

“You’re just lucky woman. I encountered a problem with my wheel earlier.” He commented.

“Oh really?” I asked mockingly.

“This isn’t the last Jada, see you next week.” Lexus shot back before vanishing from my sight.

He can’t accept defeat, isn’t he?

“So you have to join the race next week.” Martini made me back to my senses.

“I have nothing to prove on him Martini, the only reason I’ll go to that race was because of the foreign racers,” I mentioned.

“Yeah right. By the way, I have to go.” He replied. I just nodded and drove out of that place. No one knows that I do racing aside from Kendra and Trinity.

Dad only knew that I’m into racing that’s why he let me buy this car. But buying that Bugatti will surely reveal my thing, so using Dad’s credit card is not the option. I just have to ask a favor on Kendra.

When I pulled over to the mansion’s parking lot, I noticed an unfamiliar car parked. I’m sure it wasn’t dad’s or any of my sibling's cars, they lack the taste of it. Whoever owned this car was wealthy enough to afford this kind of luxury.

I continously walk towards our door and left my mouth hanging when two men in the black suite were guarding the door.

Since when did dad hire a guard? Or they’re more likely a serial killer. Oh c’mon Jada, stop jumping to conclusions and judging people.

I ignored them and went inside the mansion to clear up my confusion. Just to see mom and dad in the living room talking to a…wait.

Why is he here?

“As what I am saying, your daughter entered the Coleman empire uninvited. No woman is allowed to enter my area, y’all knew that. I can sue her for trespassing.” The stern voice of the man fills the mansion as his cold eyes quickly shift on mine.

“And oh, speaking of your daughter. She’s here.” He mentioned as dad and mom immediately glance at me. With mom’s menacing look, I know something bad will about to happen.

“Jada come here,” Dad ordered full of authority. Heaving a sigh, I walk closer to them.

“Mr.Coleman here wants to sue you for trespassing Jada.”Dad firmly uttered.

“What! You’re insane!” I growled at the man who was piercingly staring at me.

“And also, for attempted murder.” The man added which made my eyes widen and were about to attack him when his guards quickly gets my arm.

“You’re crazy! What the hell are you talking about!” I roared at him. He ignored me and shift his gaze on my parents.

“You know me, Mr. And Mrs. Turner, you’re fully aware of what I am capable of.” The man sternly maintained.

“Then what else can we do? Can we atleast compromise and talk about this peacefully? And Jada, please be calm.”Dad shot back.

“Well yes, I only have one solution in mind for all this mess. For your company’s stability and your family safety…” He paused for a moment and shift his gaze on me again.

“Give me your daughter.”
