“What are you doing here, Mr. Simon?” Bella asked in disbelief, glancing down the hotel hallway to see if any other guests were around.

Relief washed over her when she found it completely empty.

“Are you not going to invite me inside?” Zachary raised a brow, his tone playfully demanding.

Not wanting to cause any more trouble or attract unwanted attention if someone happened to walk by, Bella reluctantly stepped aside and widened the opening of the door.

Zachary casually strode inside. The momen

  • Charmed By A Rival   Chapter 18

“Aren’t you going back home? It's been two years” Zach asked once they had cleaned up and settled under the freshly changed sheets.“I don’t know,” she mumbled sleepily, curled against his chest. “I still don’t know what to do next.”“K-Line Shipping?” he asked, assuming the company was what held her back.“Sort of.” She looked up at him. “K-Line was my first real attempt at business. I’ve never had any interest in it—or anything related to it—but I tried. For Ralph. I used my family’s connections to build that company, and I can’t just leave it to people like them.”A small, sharp smile touched her lips. “Maybe I’ll take it back, sell everything, and donate the money to charity. My pride won’t let them enjoy the life they borrowed from me.” She settled against him again.Zach watched her face in the quiet. Her eyes were closed, long lashes resting against pale skin.“As I’ve said before,” he murmured, “I can be your ally, Isabella.”She scoffed softly and looked up just long enough t

  • Charmed By A Rival   Chapter 17

“Don’t do this, Isabella…” Zachary’s voice fractured into a rough groan as he writhed beneath her deliberate assault. Her teeth continued their wicked teasing, grazing sensitive skin just enough to make him twitch, while her eyes never left his face—enjoying every flicker of pleasure that contorted his features. He propped himself up on his elbows, the muscles in his arms corded tight, determined to watch every second of what she was doing to him. Then, with maddening patience, she slid the waistband of his boxers down just far enough to free the slick, swollen tip of his erection. It gleamed under the low light, already weeping for her. “You’re huge,” she murmured in low, awed wonder, staring at the broad, mushroom-shaped head. “Don’t you dare compare me to anyone—even in your mind, Isabella.” The hard edge in his voice startled her. His hand shot into her hair, fisting a thick handful and forcing her gaze up to his. The look in his eyes was dangerously dark, almost possess

  • Charmed By A Rival   Chapter 16

“Hello, Zachary. As promised, I’m here.” I smiled sweetly the instant the door opened and Zachary appeared in the doorway. As usual, his expression remained unreadable, giving nothing away. “I’m sober now,” I announced with a smug grin as I stepped inside, walking past him as though I already belonged there. The room, much like mine, screamed luxury. A large table occupied one side, covered with neatly arranged documents and his open laptop. From the looks of it, he had turned part of the suite into a temporary office. A door stood along the side wall, which I assumed led to the bedroom. The thought immediately sent heat creeping up my face. But I was already here. And I had no intention of backing down. “And I still want you,” I added casually before making myself comfortable on the couch. Zachary said nothing. He simply watched me with that inscrutable gaze before turning away and walking toward the table. He settled into the cushioned chair, his attention returning t

  • Charmed By A Rival   Chapter 15

Zachary accompanied her to her hotel room despite her weak resistance. For some reason, part of her wanted him to stay, while another part desperately wanted to get as far away from him as possible. She hated how conflicted she felt whenever he was near.“I can manage, Mr. Simon.” She weakly swatted at the hand holding her close.“If you say so.”To her surprise, Zachary immediately released her and raised both hands in surrender. The sudden loss of his support caught her off guard. Her knees buckled, and she instinctively reached for the nearest thing to keep herself from falling. She lost her balance, tumbling backward onto the couch, dragging Zachary down with her.For a moment, neither of them moved.Isabella's eyes widened when she realized Zachary was sprawled over her, their faces only inches apart. She could feel the warmth of his breath against her skin, carrying the faint scent of alcohol they had both consumed earlier.“Isabella...” Zachary whispered. His voice was low, alm

  • Charmed By A Rival   Chapter 14

Tonight, I was honoring an invitation from K-Line Shipping's very first partner, the man who had believed in the company when it was just starting—President Edmund Cortez.President Cortez owned Metal Steel Manufacturing in Lax City, and his company had been K-Line's first major partner in importing raw materials from overseas. I had met him and his wife two years ago when we signed the collaboration contract, back when K-Line was still finding its footing. And tonight was his fiftieth birthday. The most prominent business figures in Lax City had gathered at the grand venue to celebrate with him, making it one of the most important social events of the year. The moment I stepped inside, however, I was greeted by a familiar and unwelcome face."What are you doing here?" Matilda demanded as she hurried toward me."I was invited." I calmly raised the invitation card in front of her.Her expression darkened."You're not my son's wife anymore. You shouldn't have come. Are you deliberately

  • Charmed By A Rival   Chapter 13

“How are you, Bella?” Alice asked concernedly after taking a sip of her juice. She had messaged me earlier to check on me, and when she suggested that we meet, I readily agreed. These past few days, I had barely left my hotel room. I chose to rest, sleep in, and allow myself a few lazy days without worrying too much about what came next.It had also been days since Zachary Simon's unexpected sleepover.I had been staying indoors, too lazy to go anywhere, and I hadn't heard anything about him since then. He was probably busy.Unless, of course, he decided to barge into my hotel room again like he had before. But he hadn't.For some reason, I didn't want to admit that a part of me had been waiting for him.Instead, I had been avoiding every thought of Zachary altogether. I convinced myself that I was simply enjoying my time alone and that his absence didn't bother me in the slightest.Alice's invitation, however, had been too tempting to refuse. And now, I was sitting across from her in
