Chapter 3 Guilt

Upon seeing Johnson in front of her door, Tina ran into his arms and kissed him crazily to which Johnson reciprocated just as much. They quickly moved from the front door to the bedroom where Johnson kept kissing Tina.

“ I’m sorry, Johnson, about the past and my irresolution of being together. I’m sorry for rejecting you and asking you to get married to someone else. I’m sorry, Johnson, I’m so sorry about everything.” Tina apologized through and through to Johnson as she kept kissing him.

Seeing his crush’s sorrowful expression melted Johnson’s heart, who thought of taking things to the next level, but unfortunately, he couldn’t, or rather, he couldn’t get an erection out of making out with Tina no matter how much he tried. Rather than getting an erection, Alexandrine’s face kept appearing to him repeatedly. In those appearances, Alexandrine’s face and expression were sad and transparent, and seeing those expressions pained Jason so much that he stopped touching Tina.

“ What’s going on with Johnson?” Could he have fallen for that girl and have no feelings for me anymore?”

Tina did her best not to lose her composure in front of Johnson and comprehensively asked him the follow-up question, “ Tell me, Johnson, did you happen to fall in love with Alexandrine?”

Johnson was startled by Tina’s question and didn’t know how or what to answer her. Johnson’s silence answered Tina’s question on its own; Tina felt irritated that her love was probably not hers anymore but managed to hide it well.

Tina sneeringly told Johnson, “ I won’t blame you if you happened to fall for her during the year you got married. It’s understandable and comprehensible.” Johnson looked at Tina perplexed and retorted by saying, “ It’s not like that, Tina, you’ve misunderstood.”

“ I see, he still has yet to realize his feelings for Alexandrine at all; Maybe, it’s not too late for me.” Tina sneerily thought as she smiled at Johnson at the same time. “ There’s no way I’m letting you go this time, Johnson. You’re mine and mine alone.”

“ You’re right, Johnson. I might have misunderstood just as you inferred it just now. There’s just no way that you wouldn’t love me anymore, right?” Tina kept the smile on but underneath it all, she was pissed and exasperated.

Johnson kissed Fiona slightly on the forehead before putting his clothes back on which Tina understood as a sign for him to leave.

“ I’ll be leaving now, Tina. You take care, alright!”

Tina jumped into Johnson’s arms once more and hugged him tightly to the point that it almost hurt him. “ Will you come to visit me again tomorrow?” She kept squeaking at him and when she realized Johnson was flinching, she lowered the pressure.

To the question Tina asked, Johnson answered, “ Tomorrow won’t be possible due to an important meeting but I can promise to come visit you another time, how’s that?”

Tina suddenly let go of Johnson and smiled at him brightly, she muttered, “ Okay, that’s a promise and you better not break it.”

“ I won’t, I won’t. See you later!”

Johnson attempted to kiss Tina on the forehead again but she anticipated what he intended to do and gave him a speck on the lips. The latter was surprised by this but still did nothing to stop it. After successfully separating from Tina, he headed toward the door before walking out of it, with Tina smiling at him the whole way.

When Johnson was no longer in sight and sure he had successfully driven out of her apartment, Tina started breaking things around in anger.

“ How is that possible?” How could he fall for someone else? I won’t let that happen. I won’t allow you to fall for someone else because you’re mine. Johnson, you’re mine.” She mumbled exasperatedly.

On his way back to his apartment, Johnson thought back about what happened at Tina’s place and how he was unable to get turned on while being with her. He started panicking, thinking he might have some kind of dysfunction.

“ Alexandrine, I’m home.”

Upon returning home, he wasn’t greeted by Alexandrine as she was nowhere to be found. Instead of her, he was instead greeted by suitcases behind the door and felt his heart sink. He felt his world collapsing right in front of him. Searching for Alexandrine everywhere inside the house, he managed to find her in the last place he least expected, the bedroom. Alexandrine was sleeping soundly and peacefully.

Suddenly getting attracted to Alexandrine, he walked toward her, and with her face near his, he leaned in for a kiss.

“ You look quite cute when you’re asleep, so cute.” He mumbled before kissing her lovingly. The unknown feeling he was feeling when at Tina’s place disappeared, leaving place for peer pleasure and a beautiful feeling. He got erected just from kissing Alexandrine which was the total opposite of what happened with Tina.

Johnson couldn’t help but kiss Alexandrine repeatedly without stopping which woke up Alexandrine in the end. Witnessing what was happening and with Johnson on top of her, she attempted to stop him but couldn’t as Johnson grasped her hands in his control.

Being under the effect of alcohol, he mumbled to Alexandrine, “You can’t refuse me as I haven’t yet put my sign on the divorce papers. You’re still my wife until I say it’s over.” Alexandrine was confused by his latest actions and behavior.

Johnson felt good near Alexandrine and soon forgot how he met with Tina earlier in the day and how they discussed the possibility of getting back together. Alexandrine didn’t understand what was going on with Johnson but regardless of her confusion, she let herself go and enjoyed the moment in Johnson’s arms, for what she thought of the last time she would ever be with him.

“ You know, Johnson—----- I was very happy with you during the year we’ve been together. Every day, every minute, every second, everything was so much fun—----- I don’t think I could ever forget all the love and respect you’ve given me even if I tried.”

As this was their last moment, their goodbye, Alexandrine wanted to take the opportunity and open her heart to Johnson before leaving him for good.

“ Johnson, I don’t think I ever got the chance to tell you this, but I never got a boyfriend before you proposed to me. I lied to you when I said I had an ex-boyfriend. You were my first and last love, Johnson; I don’t think I’ll be able to love anyone as I loved you. Before going our separate ways, I’d like for you to know how immensely profound I love you. I love you, Johnson; I love you.”

As she professed her love to Johnson, she waited for a reaction from him but nothing came and she found that quite suspicious.

“ Johnson, why aren’t you saying anything back after I’ve professed my love for you?” As she was asking him for an explanation, she realized Johnson was sound asleep and that he didn’t hear her sudden profession of love. Alexandrine was disheartened by that but still sighed in the end.

“ Maybe, it’s for the best.” She sighs. “ If he had heard my confession, what would he have told me? Would he have told me how he felt the same way I did? Would he have told me he no longer loved Tina? Would he have asked me to stay and start afresh?” Alexandrine walked her hands through Johnson’s solidified black hair. “ In the end, I’ll never get to know what his answer to my confession would have been.”

Alexandrine silently and furtively left the bed after properly lying Johnson on the bed and covering him with a blanket. She heads to the shower to take a bath.

After spending fifteen minutes inside the shower, she walked out of it and put on an orange dress. She looked stunning in the dress and as she went to the living room and found her suitcases lying around, she moved them back to the bedroom.

“ Before I leave this house and Johnson, I should make him one last breakfast.” She mumbled before heading to the kitchen to make breakfast for her beloved husband, Johnson.

In the bedroom, Johnson woke up from his eventful night. He remembered how he was with Alexandrine and how good it felt being with her.

“ I don’t know what happens to me whenever I’m with you, Alexandrine,” Johnson mumbled before getting interrupted by Tina’s phone call.

“ What’s up, Tina?” Johnson asked the latter through the phone.

“ You didn’t forget what today is, did you?” Tina anticipated a joyful response to which Johnson alertly said, “ Today’s grandma's birthday, isn't it? How could I forget?”
