Chapter 44 | Heed

So far, I have no complaints about the attitude of the pack members per se. But as I leaned against a tree, fuming silently. Nobody seemed to notice I was sitting on top of a tree near the side of the training field. I was watching Nix every second from afar. Nix was instructing an adolescent on how to correct his form while performing a specific fighting move, and he was so focused that he was unaware of my bad mood.

To his credit, he was mostly unaware of the blonde attempting to flirt with him. He had noticed a couple of her attempts, but he was uninterested and ignored her. It was the only thing that made me feel better in this situation.

I couldn't exactly act too envious or show that I am an overreacting mate because I couldn't win a fight with anyone here. No amount of training could change that; as a runt, my speed, strength, and stamina would never be comparable to a full-grown wolf.
