REINA

“You can’t do this, Ravenna.” Ethan made to come close to me, but Bruce blocked him with his hand. “Keep a safe distance from my girlfriend.”

“She is not your girlfriend. She is my bloody wife, now you stay away.” Ethan snapped at him while Bruce's stance remained firm.

“Don’t act so cute, Ethan. My Sterling Group is as powerful as your Walters Group, so don’t command me like one of your lackeys or I’ll really get pissed,” Bruce warned. When Ethan saw how serious Bruce was, and the small probability of winning against the heir of the Sterling Group, he stepped back but still had his eyes on me.

“Can we have a brief talk? Alone?” I could see the pleading look in his eyes.

Like hell I cared.

“No,” I replied. “If it is about the project, I won’t change my mind.”

“Ethan….” Ravenna grabbed Ethan’s arm, who was completely uninterested in her at that point. “Ignore this wench, I will create another project and head it to save Walters Group, trust….”

Ethan brushed her off as she staggered backwards. I couldn’t help but feel amused at the scene playing out in front of me.

“Your designs are trash, Ravenna. You have always stolen my work since childhood. How the hell would you cope with a large-scale design project when your head is empty? Or are you trying to make Walters Group more bankrupt with a failed project?” I asked confidently.

“You!” Ravenna was completely pissed now.

“Shut up, Ravenna!” Ethan yelled in frustration as I chuckled.

“Babe….” Ravenna whimpered.

“Leave this party, Ravenna. Don’t get me more pissed,” Ethan breathed in anger and turned his gaze instantly to me.

I wasn’t expecting it when he grabbed my hand and started to walk out of the room. Bruce made to follow us, but he wasn’t fast enough as the barrage of guests blocked his path, and he didn’t know the path we had taken.

I wasn’t sure why I had followed Ethan willingly. But when we finally got to the stairway in the hotel, and I took a good look at his expression, my joy knew no bounds.

He was so frustrated!

“What is all this prank you’re pulling, Reina? Why the hell are you with Bruce? Is he your boyfriend?! When did you hook up with him? Was it when we were still married? You really cheated on me until the end!”

I slapped him so hard the moment he said the last word. “You bastard,” I breathed as he turned his head to look at me.

“You really did cheat,” he said again as I raised my hand for another slap across his face, but he caught it and forcefully drew me into his arms.

“Let me go.” I didn’t beg like in the past. I only commanded. But the bastard was staring at me like I was the only thing that mattered at that point.

“You are mine, Reina. Mine alone.” He crushed his lips on mine as I tried to wriggle away, but he was too strong.

I bit his lips, and he finally let go with a scream.

“Does it hurt?” I asked with a naughty smirk.

“Oh…look at that!” I feigned a cry. “You are bleeding.” I burst into hysterical laughter while I tried to maintain as the picture of me bleeding in the past flashed back to me.

This was just a drop of what I suffered in the past. But it was going to be one step at a time.

“What the hell has possessed you, Reina! I am your husband!”

“Ex.” I shuddered in anger as he watched me in disbelief.

“And what’s with all of this? Uh? Pretending you care and want me?” I snapped.

“Reina, I….”

“Stay away from me or you won’t only be getting a bite from me, Ethan Walters. I might really kill you, Ethan,” I said with shaky breath.

Because murderers like you don’t deserve to live. The words rang in my head, but if I said it out loud, it might give him a hint about my child. And him knowing about Andrew was the last thing I wanted. He doesn’t deserve to be called a father.

As I turned to walk away, he rushed to block my path. “Reina, please hear me out.” He placed his two hands on my shoulders.

I flung them away and walked past him again, but he was relentless as he rushed to my front, this time falling on his knees in front of me.

What the hell!

Ethan Walters was kneeling in front of me, and I hadn’t even started making his life miserable yet?

This was so fun!

“I beg you, Reina. Don’t ditch the Triple A project,” he raised his gaze to me.

And for a fleet moment, those eyes that had seduced me in the past almost did again, almost swaying me, but I quickly looked away.

“This is nothing personal, Mr. Ethan Walters. If you think I hold grudges against you, then you’re only overestimating yourself,” I stared back at him. “Like what I said to Director Steve, I don’t work well in a toxic environment,” I repeated.

“And you said it’s nothing personal!” He stood up hastily. “You still bear a grudge against me, Reina!”

“I almost died six years ago because of you and your mistress, you bastard! What gives you the right to ask for my help!” I snapped heavily at him as he stared at me in confusion, guilt evident, but it was too late now. There was no room for forgiveness. Only revenge.

“Reina, I….”

“You don’t know how much I lost while living as your wife, my dignity, my peace of mind, and my dear….” I held myself back when I was about to say child. I inhaled deeply and closed my eyes to calm myself.

“I am sorry, Reina.”

“Bullshit,” I sneered and pushed him away. “Stay out of my sight,” I spat at him and walked away, but his next words made me stop in my tracks.

“I didn’t sign the divorce papers then,” he shouted after me. “That’s why I keep insisting you are still my wife, Reina.”

I turned slowly to look at him, an incredulous smile on my face.

“You couldn’t get over me?” I asked with a grin.

“Put it however you want to, but I couldn’t when I got back from the hospital to find you missing. I almost went crazy,” he replied.

“Is that supposed to make me feel better?” I hissed.

“I couldn’t get you off my mind these past few years,” he started to approach me slowly.

“And I haven’t been happier in all my entire life all this while,” I folded my arms and watched him with a sarcastic grin.

“Come back to me, Reina. I can’t stand to see you with other men,” he finally stopped walking.

“Oops, you found out your ex-wife is a stunning designer and now you want her back? How interesting!” I laughed in mock.

“Reina, I….”

“If you want me to be the designer for Triple A, sign the bloody divorce paper,” I interrupted smoothly.

Since he wants me badly, I will make sure I am out of his bloody reach.

  • Chasing Back My Stunning Ex-Wife   Chapter 299

Reina “Do you want a new car? Or a new apartment?” Ethan teased. “Anyone, my love. A Lamborghini won't be bad, you know.” I turned to face him, and there it was, the smile I had come to know and love over the years. It was the smile that had carried me through the darkest days, the one that had reassured me when I didn’t know how to move forward. The evening was calm and beautiful qne Andrew was at a friend’s house for a sleepover, and Ethan and I were alone for the first time in a while. Alone, but not lonely. We were never lonely when we had ourselves. “I’m looking,” I said softly, walking toward him. “And I see a family that’s been through hell and back, and yet we still survived it.” Ethan reached out to pull me into his arms and held me tight as if he was scared to let me go. “We have always been strong. It was just a matter of time before we realized it.” I rested my head on his chest, listening to the steady beat of his heart. This was home. This was everything

  • Chasing Back My Stunning Ex-Wife   Chapter 298

Reina It was a morning like any other, except it wasn’t. I had just received the news I had been waiting for, hoping for, but still uncertain if it would ever come true. I had gotten another job. It was a job that would challenge me, push me out of my comfort zone, and finally allow me to make a real name for myself in the world I had always longed to be part of. As I stood in the kitchen, staring at the email, I could not stop the tears that filled my eyes. I had worked so hard for this moment, and now that it was here, I was overwhelmed with gratitude and disbelief. “Reina? What’s wrong?” Ethan asked, stepping into the room. His voice was soft, and his concern was evident in his eyes. I couldn’t speak at first, so I just handed him my phone, pointing to the email. He took it from me, his eyes scanning the screen. His face lit up as he read the words. “Wait… you got it? You really got it?” I nodded, my throat tight. “Yes. It’s real, Ethan. They offered me the position. I t

  • Chasing Back My Stunning Ex-Wife   Chapter 297

Reina The day had finally come. The day I had been both dreading and hoping for. The day Ethan and I would renew our vows. I had spent so much time imagining what it would feel like, but now that the moment was here, I was filled with excitement and a little nervousness. After everything we had been through, I was not sure how I would feel standing up in front of our friends and family, saying the same vows we made years ago. But this time, I was going to say them with more meaning, more depth, and more love than I ever had before. Ethan had gone above and beyond to make this day perfect, and I had already walked into the garden where it would all happen. It looked like a dream. “Mommy, you look beautiful!” Andrew said, his eyes wide with admiration as he helped me adjust my dress. I laughed softly. “Thank you, baby. You look very handsome too.” He beamed in his little tuxedo, looking just like his father. When Ethan walked in to check on me, I could not help but smil

  • Chasing Back My Stunning Ex-Wife   Chapter 296

: A New Beginning (Ethan POV) --- I never thought I’d feel this nervous again. The last time I felt anything close to this was the first time I asked Reina out. But now, standing in our living room with the small box in my pocket, I felt like a teenager unsure if the girl would say yes. Andrew was asleep in his room, and Reina was curled up on the couch, reading a book. Her hair was loosely tied back, and she was wearing one of my old sweatshirts. She looked so comfortable, so at peace, and for a moment, I just stood there, watching her. “Why are you staring at me like that?” she asked, not even looking up from her book. I chuckled nervously. “Do I need a reason to stare at my wife?” She finally looked up, raising an eyebrow. “No, but it’s weird when you’re just standing there silently. What’s going on?” I took a deep breath and walked over, sitting beside her. “Reina, can we talk?” She frowned, closing her book. “Is something wrong?” “No, nothing’s wrong,” I assured her. “In

Ethan “ A therapist? We are going to see a therapist, Ethan?” Reina blurted out and I had to calm her down that it's for the better. “Yes. I made that decision and I have already paid for a session. It is a good thing and I think our marriage will get better.” “Oh dear. I'm just scared.” *** Sitting across from Reina in the therapist’s office felt a little weird and I was trying to keep up. This was the first time we had actually met with a therapist about us. The therapist, a calm woman in her mid-50s named Dr. Laura smiled gently at us. “Thank you for coming today. The first step to healing is often the hardest, so I commend you both for being here.” I glanced at Reina, who gave me a small, nervous smile. “We are ready,” I said, squeezing her hand. “Good. Why don’t we start with why you’re here? What made you decide to seek therapy now?” Dr. Laura asked. I looked at Reina, silently asking if she wanted to go first. She nodded and took a deep breath. “I think we h

  • Chasing Back My Stunning Ex-Wife   Chapter 294

Reina Evans was at my house again. This time, I was very convinced that he had something off his sleeves. How can someone who I haven't seen in years suddenly show up in the new country where I relocated to? Has he been stalking me all these years? Evans stood at the door, his hands shoved in his pockets, and today he looked so confident in himself. But, I was here to destroy whatever confidence he had. I had hoped I would see the last of him after his first visit, but here he was again, uninvited and unwelcome. “What are you doing here again, Evans? Haven't I told you that I don't want you around me?” I thundered and my pulse was racing. “I needed to talk to you,” he responded calmly, despite my raging anger. “I don’t think we got to finish our conversation the last time.” “There’s nothing left to talk about,” I said, stepping out onto the porch and closing the door behind me. I didn’t want Ethan or Andrew overhearing any of this. “Reina, please,” he said, his eyes pleadin
