“Reading books about someone or studying books written by the same person doesn't necessarily mean you know the person.”

I thought to myself as I watched Alpha Prince Kyle after he yelled at Camila, who seemed cheerful. I could tell she had a tiny crush on him, and I couldn't blame her because he was smart and gorgeous, even for a man.

Plus, he was the first Royal Prince and would most likely be the next King of the realm if the council of Alphas concluded that the king's position could be hereditary. He was what every young woman in the realm wanted.

That was understandable, but what I didn't understand was why the supposed-to-be cool prince of the realm was being an ass to a young fan.

“The Kyle I know wouldn't do that to Camila. He adores her.” Dolf said to me. “He must be struggling with something. Has to be why Katie wanted you to hang out with him.”

Hmm. I didn't know if that meant Katie trusted me, but I was willing to help Alpha Prince Kyle if I had to.

  • Chasing His Betrayed Luna   116: Jarrett's Blood

Princess Katie Anne~~Even though it’s been many hours since Jarrett was looked up, I was still in shock. I mean, it happened so fast, and the fact that Jarrett was getting involved with the banished witches in the human realm made me feel uneasy.Or maybe it was because my mom has been gloomy since Elora exposed Jarrett’s secret, even before Luna Cynthia could.I hate seeing my mom worried or in pain, especially when I wasn’t the cause of it. It would be a different story if she were worried about me not talking to her or in pain because I wouldn’t listen to her.But this story was about a past she had fought so hard to keep in the past and overcome.“They will be fine, Kat.” My mate’s solemn voice echoed in my head, forcing me to look in his direction as he added, “We will all be fine.”He could tell I was worried about my parents, as I wouldn’t want to see them unraveling, just like he was worried about us because we were navigating a dangerous path that might blow up in our fac

DAVIEN~~“You’re my hero.”Clearly, Elora didn’t understand the situation. Although she was a smart girl, she was still too young to comprehend the shift in the atmosphere fully. Or maybe she just didn’t care as she walked up to me and hugged me. But that wasn’t the case for Alpha King Raiden. Heck, that wasn’t the case for Luna Queen Aurelia, who was just reminded of a past that nearly claimed her current life. Perhaps his mate’s discomfort got to him, or he was purely acting on his own emotions. Alpha King Raiden lashed out, “You have just a minute to explain yourself, Jarrett.” The tension in the guest apartment's living room grew palpably thick. Clearly, things had escalated unexpectedly, and the duel of Alphas was now the least of Jarrett’s concerns.“I would never reach out to the witches in the human world, King Raiden. I know better than to do that after what happened the last time.” Jarrett quickly uttered those words, trying desperately to convince the King and Queen,

Princess Katie Anne~~“I trust my son to make me proud.”Those were my dad’s words, and their effect on Davien brought a smile to my face. I could feel the heavy burden on my mate’s heart fading away as he listened to my parents and felt what parental love should feel like.Although my parents and I had spoken about the battle of Alphas through the mind link while Jarrett awaited a response, I didn't have to convince them or plead with them to take Davien's side. They did that willingly, even though they could be accused of being biased by Alpha Jarrett. While my eyes found Davien’s twinkling ones, Alpha Jarrett quickly blurted, “You can’t take sides even before the duel, My King, and neither can you, Queen Aurelia. There are rules.”He sounded like a broken record if I was being honest, and my mom did hesitate to say to him, “The rules cease to exist the second you decided to go behind our backs and lobby for support to take the throne instead of coming forward legally. Oh, you for

DAVIEN~~Not to be impatient, but when can the Battle of Alphas happen, Your Majesties?Of course, he had to ask now. I could smell his impatience on him even though I had been keeping my distance. I could feel his hot glare each time he thought I was looking at him. I guess we were both impatient… I mean, I had been glaring at him too.Jarrett was impatiently waiting to duel with me so he could kill me. At least, that was his belief, but I wouldn’t let that happen because I had been waiting impatiently to kill him. After last night, I didn’t have any reason to hold back.Plus, he was never a great father to me anyway; therefore, we didn’t have the connection that would have made me think twice when I got to the point where I snapped his neck, breaking it like a twig.I expected Katie’s parents to respond instantly, but for some reason, they took their sweet time, eyes shifting between themselves and Katie. It was obvious that they were discussing it through the mind link, and I co

Princess Katie Anne~~“Katie!”Elora’s excited, high-pitched scream brought a smile to my face despite the kind of night I had with my moody mate. My parents' car was still on the move when I heard Elora’s voice, and as soon as the car was parked, my baby sister jumped out, running towards me with her open arms.“Oh, my Lora,” I muttered after I picked her up, holding her tightly to myself. “Gosh, I have missed you.”“Don’t get me started, Katie,” Elora breathed with obvious relief, her small arms snaking around my neck. “I had to make mom and dad bring me with them even though they refused the first thirty times I made a kind request.”Knowing how insistent she can be, I laughed as I tried to imagine her pestering our parents. My laughter soon faded as my parents walked up to me, showing off the affection I had missed seeing in their eyes.“Hey, my Princess,” my dad muttered, his emotions almost choking him as he wrapped his arms around Elora and me.The hug was meant for me, but

Princess Katie Anne~~“What kind of a mother are you?” I was too angry to care about respecting the woman sobbing before me.After listening to her and seeing how she handled the situation with Davien, who has been open to giving her another chance, I felt immense gratitude for my parents. For my mom, especially, because I have seen her sacrifice her happiness for me and my siblings many times. My mom would do anything for us, even if it means she has to live with the fact that we, or more precisely, I, hate her.“You don’t understand, and I don’t expect you to, Princess Katie,” Luna Cynthia muttered, wiping her wet face as she added, “Your life is so perfect. You have powerful parents, excellent siblings, and you also didn’t have to choose between two men—”“Are you kidding me?” I chuckled, disbelief clouding my senses. “My family was literally torn apart because of this realm. My ancestors still haven't reclaimed their ancestral land because it no longer feels like home, and have
