Before the mob could get us, uniformed guards appeared from all angles and they intercepted. I now understood why Zade hadn’t looked worried in the first place. He knew this would be handled.

“What is even going on?” I heard him mutter under his breath before he started walking towards the crowd. Looking as pissed off as I was.

“Alpha, we have it under control.” The man at the front, who was probably a gamma spoke as soon as we got to them.

“I know.” Zade replied. “Who is in charge of the society back at the hospital?”

I was staring at the crowd, not sure what I was looking for but there was something that was compelling to search. Searching for Worthing you don’t know is fuck8ing stressful.

“it is Gamma Alex, alpha. Should we call him?” Zade nodded then he turned to me.

“Do you feel better now? We can go back inside?” There was a look in his eyes, he didn’t want to say the words but I immediately got a hunch. It had to do with Jade.
