Morgana's POV

My cheeks burned as I stared at my husband from the corner of the booth where I was sitting. He was standing in front of the counter, ordering what we wanted to eat.

I can't get enough of my husband.

Since the day we went all the way, which was three days ago, I've not been able to get enough of him. I think he feels the same way too.

The way he looks at me, the way he touches me when he thinks I'm not looking always takes my breath away.

Looking at him from here now, he looked so good that I could gawk at him for the rest of the night. And I'm obviously not the only one that felt that way. The women and even men here were staring at him.

And if I was not so shy, I'd stand up from the booth, and walk up to him, wrapping my hand around his arm. Clearly saying that he was mine.

He commands every single room he sets his foot on and it was as if protocols always broke for him. What I'll do to have that many alone to myself.

You have him to yourself, an intrusive thou

Morgana's POV “I found out that my husband is my brother,” I said simply. She did not say anything. It was as if silence fell. I've got the whole club, which I was sure was not it. I peeked my eye up to look at her. She was looking at me like I had two heads, and I understood. “Oh….okay,” she laughed. “Brother, like he acts like your brother? Or maybe he looks after you like a brother would?” She said, and I almost laughed. I was about to reply when she said, “Wait, last I heard, your real brother was a douchebag no?” She asked, genuinely surprised. “Yup. He is. But I'm not talking about him right now. I'm saying Xavier, my husband, might be my actual elder brother. From the same parents.” “What the fuck? That's definitely not possible. Right?” She exasperated. She looked at me as if to confirm what she just said, but I had nothing to say to her. “That's what we heard a couple of days back. With DNA evidence to back it up.” “That's bullshit.” She hissed, all hint of tipsiness

Morgana's POV “Come on, drink uppppp.” Mary Anne’s voice rose over the loud music in the club. Yeah. She brought me to a club. After the I dropped the call from her from earlier, she brought the idea that I should come over to her house to dress up. I didn't want to agree before, but as usual, she made me say yes. She made me go over to her place after she sent me an address. She had a very wonderful and beautiful house. It was so good being in another space after what is going on right now. I don't know how I've not told her about the whole issue, but I think that's for the best. I don't want to be the one to ruin her mood when she is celebrating. She dressed me up like I was not a twenty-eight-year-old lady. I felt like I was eighteen the way she dressed me up in a short dress and very tall heels. She did my makeup and did my hair. She did not allow me to have a say in the whole thing. And I just left her alone to do her thing. When she was done, I agreed with myself that I ac

Morgana's POV Things that happened after that day did not get any better. Maybe it started for me or from him, I have no idea. Things just started getting awkward, and there was nothing that I could have done about it. It's been a couple of days now, and it's just getting worse. The life I thought we built together was crumbling in front of me, and there was nothing I could do about it. The whole fault is coming from me. I was the one leaving and staying away from him. It's as though when he was ignoring me, I'm the one doing the ignoring again right now. And I don't like it one bit. I have mostly kept to myself all this while without saying anything. But I've been praying that the DNA is fast-tracked. But then, that's not even a possible option. It will come out when it wants to come out. Anytime we were in the same space, I avoided his eyes as much as I could. The times when I wanted to reach out to touch him, but I drew back into my shell because of the fear. I don't know wha

Morgana's POV I woke up with a pounding headache. I tried to open my eyes, but it seemed as if that was a lot of work to do. I finally did it, but I saw a combination of colors, then shut it back. “Morgana.” I heard my name being called by my husband. “Hey. What happened? Why am I in your office?” I asked when I discovered that I was in his office, sleeping on his couch. I tried to push myself up to a sitting position. “You passed out.” He said simply. I looked at him, and he was bending over his leg to look over me. He looked all over me. “Oh….might have been the stress or maybe I was t….” I suddenly kept quiet. What happened in the past hour started coming to me in a rush. I sat up in a rush and froze in his attempt. I was his sister. He told me I was his sister, and I saw the pictures of me when I was smaller. There were pictures of both of us when we were smaller together in the same orphanage. How was that even possible? “Is it true?” I asked in a small voice, not even

Morgana POV How I got back to the house after putting a call through to Derek, and he said Xavier was not with him, got past me. But I was here. Inside the house. There was no one around the sitting area. And the kitchen too. I quickly picked up the general phone from the kitchen to reach out to Sarah. I asked her to go with the driver to pick up Noah. I don't know what I'm dealing with here, and I don't want to leave him to suffer for it. I reached out to the headmistress too, so that she'll know another person is the one coming to pick him up. After that was sorted with the necessary things, I slowly walked up the stairs, checking our room first to see if he was there. When he was not, I walked to his office and opened the door gently. He was sitting on his chair, but it was turned to the back, not facing me. I sighed in relief to know that he was okay and was inside. “Xavier?” He didn't answer or react like he heard me. There was a cognac bottle on the table, and I guess

Morgana's POV I sat down gingerly on the chair in front of him as if afraid that I would fall off. I never imagined that I would get to see him again, given our bad history. The last time I spoke with him, he left me to die and rot away in jail when Simon arrested me for almost killing Marilyne. Same with his parents, who had adopted me then. I cannot think of what to say to him. I just sat there looking. “Come on now, you won't say anything?” He taunted. He's always been like that. Vince being Vince. “Talk about what? Say what exactly?” I whispered back, and I hated myself for it. He's always had that effect on me. I always felt small around him. He had a way with words that always put me down. “You won't say hi to your long lost brother?” He replied to me snarkily. “Last I remembered, you made sure to remind me that I had no brother in you. So, I don't understand your need to play Big Brother right now.” I said to him, I made sure that my face was expressionless. He fee

Xavier's POV “Excuse me, sir?” My assistant, Jerry poked his head through the door. “What?” I asked without raising my head up from what I was doing. “You have a delivery package.” He said, entering the office fully. “It can wait. Add it to the rest of the stash as usual.” I waved off, still continuing with what I was doing. “Erm, I'm afraid I can't do that. The delivery was made personally by the courier, with a message on it saying that it is very important.” He said. I looked up then. He was stretching a brown envelope file towards me. That was rare. I didn't really get packages and when I did, Jerry took care of them only if it was dated back to me directly. “Why can't you check through it like you normally do?” I asked, pinching the bridge of my nose out of tiredness. “I'm sorry sir.” He said in his polished British accent. “The courier had a message that said it should be delivered directly to you and should be opened by you.” He said. “That sounds suspicious.” “I know

  • Chasing My Run Away Wife After Regret.    Chapter Thirty Nine.

Morgana's POV “What do you think you're trying to do, Xavier?” I asked immediately as I entered his home office. Throwing my bag on his couch. He was obviously busy, but I did not care. He raised his head up from what he was doing, his glasses perched on his nose like the fine man he is. I shook my head to remove those thoughts. He looked so nonchalant, you'd think that he was only my boss and not my husband. “To what do I owe your royal presence?” He said sarcastically in a bored tone. I wanted to slap that bored expression off his face. “Don't pretend that you don't know why I'm here right now, Xavier,” I said, fuming and boiling inside of me. “As much as you think I know the reason you're here, I have no idea, babe.” He said, leaning back on his chair. His calling me almost dissuaded me a bit, but I got myself back in control. “Don't call me that. And stop acting so nonchalant.” I said, and I regretted it almost immediately. “Are you bothered? I feel like you would not have
