~ Chapter 41 ~
That's it. This Semester is over. I walked out of literature class with David by my side. He too was grinning. It was a stressful semester. Especially for me. The fight and the quarrels with Scott put me in a bad position. But I'm glad it's all over. I hope it's all over.
"So what do you plan on doing during the holidays. Going back to Canada?" David asked me. We were headed for the coffee shop to have a last of it for this year before next semester.
"Nope. My mom is coming over instead" I said and he stopped walking, only to look at me.
"And she's going to stay with you and Scott in his apartment?"
"It's our apartment now" I reminded him. "And by the way, Scott seemed pleased about it"
David pushed open the door for me to enter to enter the cafe. I smiled at his gentlemanly behaviour.
"Wow. That doesn't sound like Scott at all but if you say he's ok with it, cool"

The ride back home was quiet and observing. I spent most of the time staring out through the window at the buildings rushing by. I hurried to move off the couch like I was just caught having sex in a garage. But this my house. I and Scotts house and I don't know why his mom choose to show up in the middle of no where but I won't feel intimidated. Scott moved from behind his mom to my side."You didn't tell me you where coming over" He growled in a low displeasing voice. It had me wondering what would've happened if she had walked in on us having sex on the couch. I cringed."I can't visit my own son again?" With a smile on my face, I exited the room with an angry Scott in the bathroom. He's still brooding about me locking him out of the bathroom so I could shower alone. And then he resulted to saying he's going to send his mom home to Baltimore. He's so rude.I could hear plates clanking in the kitchen and the coffee machine going on and off. Scott's arms go round my waist the minute we step into Escala. The place is filled with halfly dressed females throwing themselves into pools by the sides. As we enter into David's house, there's Elle seating on the couch with a newspaper in her hand but when I look well, surely it's a fashion magazine. Her eyes lit up when she catches me in the hallway, but the fall when they see how wet and gloomy I look.She abandons the magazine on the coffee table and walks to me, her hands cupping my cheek."You look mighty cold. The lamp by the corner is flung to the floor as Scott switches to full rage. I have tears rolling down my eyes as I do nothing to stop him from destroying the house. The front door swings opened and in walks Carter. He goes straight for Scott, pulling his shirt and shaking him."Scott! He's also crying and my heart breaks into a million pieces as he walks out the door, silent but with a hidden promise that it's over. It's all over. I want this.
