Kiara’s pov

“Are you nervous?”

I looked up to where Leo stood near the door adjusting the cuffs of his black suit.

“Nervous about dinner?”

“No,” he replied calmly. “Nervous about being seen.”

That made me pause for a second.

Because I was. A little.

Switzerland had been peaceful since we arrived, quiet and private.

For the first time in a long time, it felt like the world had stopped watching us.

But ever since our engagement announcement two days ago, that peace had started slipping.

  • Chasing back my ex-wife   Chapter 197

Kiara’s povThe entire church went completely silent.Like the entire room stopped breathing at once.Leo stared at me across the altar, still holding my hand loosely.Confusion slowly replaced the softness in his face.“Kiara…”My chest hurt so badly I thought I might actually collapse right there.Tears blurred my vision completely now.I could hear my heartbeat pounding hard inside my ears. Could feel hundreds of eyes watching us. Waiting. But none of that compared to the look on Leo’s face. Because he genuinely didn’t understand what was happening yet.“I can’t do this,” I whispered again, weaker this time.Leo blinked slowly. “Baby…”His grip tightened slightly around my hand.“You can’t do what exactly?”The way he said it. Soft, careful. Already panicking underneath. My throat tightened painfully.“This,” I whispered brokenly. His brows pulled together instantly. The church remained frozen around us.Somebody in the audience gasped quietly. Someone else whispered: “Oh my God…”A

Kiara’s povThe music echoed softly through the church as the doors slowly opened in front of me.And suddenly, every single person stood. My breath caught instantly.Candles flickered across the massive room. White roses lined the aisle beautifully beneath the golden lights hanging from above. Everything looked too beautiful. Too perfect.Sophia walked carefully ahead of me in her flower-girl dress, tiny hands holding the basket while she sprinkled white petals across the aisle. The entire congregation melted watching her.I could hear soft laughter. Sniffles. Whispers. But I barely focused on any of it. Because my eyes found Leo immediately, standing at the altar beside Alex. Waiting for me.My chest tightened painfully. He looked breathtaking in black. But it wasn’t even the suit. It was his face. The way he looked at me like nothing else inside the church existed. Like after everything… I was still the center of his entire world.Emotion burned hard inside my throat. And suddenly

Kiara’s pov“Stop moving.”“I’m trying.”“No you’re not.”“I literally am.”The makeup artist sighed dramatically while fixing something near my eyeliner again.Around me, the bridal suite buzzed with movement.Sophia sat cross-legged on the floor recording everything on her phone like a tiny documentary filmmaker.“Mummy keeps blinking aggressively,” she narrated seriously.“I can hear you.”“That’s okay. Transparency matters.”I stared at my daughter in disbelief.“How are you eight years old and already exhausting?”“Natural talent.”The room burst into laughter. Including me.But it faded quickly. Because every few seconds reality came rushing back again.I was getting married today. Like actually married to Leo today. The thought still felt unreal no matter how many times I repeated it inside my head. The makeup artist finally stepped back.“Done.”Everybody immediately turned toward me.“Oh my God,” one of the stylists whispered.Sophia gasped dramatically loud enough for the en

Leo’s pov“You’ve checked your phone multiple times now.”I looked up from the screen immediately.Alex sat across from me in the living room looking entirely too amused with himself.“I’m working.”“You’re spiraling.”“I’m literally answering emails.”“You opened the same email three times.”I stared at him flatly.“I've been watching you, so no need to pretend.”Alex laughed under his breath before taking another sip of whiskey.I slightly adjusted my shirt, before finally setting my phone down.“You are such a handful”“Unfortunately, I'm here already.” He smirked faintly. Then his expression shifted slightly more serious. “Are you nervous?”I leaned back slowly against the chair and exhaled slowly.“A little.”Alex blinked once dramatically. “Oh wow.”“Relax.”“No no,” he leaned forward slightly. “I just never thought I’d see the day Leo Williams admitted emotional vulnerability voluntarily.”I rolled my eyes. “You’re enjoying this too much.”“Very much.”I shook my head faintly

Blogs. Business magazines. Social media posts.Even this morning Sophia showed me a TikTok edit someone made of me and Leo.“You’re thinking too hard again,” Leo said softly.I blinked back to him. “You say that like it’s not justified.”He walked closer slowly until he stood behind me near the vanity mirror. Then his hands settled gently on my shoulders.“I can cancel tonight.”I immediately shook my head. “No.”“You sure?”“Yes.”I met his eyes through the mirror.“I’m tired of living like I

  • Chasing back my ex-wife   Chapter 192

Leo’s povI woke up to laughter. Real laughter. The kind that fills a room naturally without effort. For a second, I just stayed there listening to it from upstairs.Sophia was downstairs arguing about pancakes again. Kiara was laughing at something she said.I rubbed a hand over my face before getting out of bed slowly. The past few weeks had felt different.Like life had finally stopped fighting us for one damn minute. When I walked downstairs, Sophia was standing on a kitchen stool dramatically flipping pancakes while Kiara leaned against the counter holding coffee.“You’re letting her cook?” I asked immediately.Kiara looked toward me innocently.“She insisted.”“She almost burned butter five minutes ago,” I replied.“That’s not true,” Sophia argued loudly.Smoke literally rose from the pan behind her.I stared at it. Then at her.She blinked once. “Okay maybe a little.”Kiara burst into laughter.I walked toward them slowly before kissing Kiara’s cheek softly.“Morning.”“Morning

Leo’s POVNo woman has ever made me feel the way Kiara does. This is what I've been missing all these years because of my own stupidity. The memory of our sex last time after five years was so fresh in my head. Replaying itself over and over like a punishment I deserve. The way her pussy held my c

Kiara's POVIt felt so weird sitting across from Leo, having breakfast like we were just two old time lovers catching up. But we are not. Not anymore. Kiara's POVFinally! After weeks of crazy hard work, late nights, and planning every single detail, today was it: our final walk-through at Evergreen.
