ADRIAN'S POV

I tried to regain my composure as I know that Damien's head is as stubborn as a bull. I tried to ignore him but instead of going for a shower, Damien flopped to the couch in the small receiving area of my office. Oh no! His smell would clung to my couch. He is still unaware of his effects on me. Fuck this feelings!

"F*ckkk, Damien can you please wear your clothes?" my irritated voice became more evident.

"Tsk. If it's other people I'm sure they won't say that. You're lucky to see me like this, many women are dying to be in your place." Damien proudly uttered.

"For one, I am not like them. I am not a woman. So now wear your clothes before the combined smell of your sweat and cum were rubbed on my couch." I shot back.

"A neat freak as always. haha you're still the same Adrian from med school." Damien said in a mocking voice. "Maybe try to include it in your vlog what is your secret the reason you're immune to my charm."

"I'm pretty sure that no matter what I say it won't be effective to any woman or even if it is you might probably kill me because I cut your stack of pussy to fuck on." I said trying to match Damien's arrogance.

"Touché" Damien replied lazily.

"Now get off my sofa and take a shower. Go! go!". I tried to shoo him like a dog. I'm panicking that his smell would clung to the couch.

Instead of obeying my words, Damien seems not finished yet teasing me as he further rubbed his sweaty body to the white couch, he even picked the pillow and rubbed it into its body.

"Damien! That's enough!" I shouted, clearly agitated by my best friend's pettiness.

Damien seems to finally contented raise his hand into mock surrender. He wears his underwear and pants in front of me... still in my office then wears his long sleeves but he doesn't bother to close its button.

Damien leaned back in his chair with a teasing smile.

“Seriously, Adrian,” Damien began, folding his arms. “Have you really not dated anyone in the past few years? Not even a fling?”

Wait... he's asking that out of nowhere.

I sighed, rubbing the back of my neck. “I didn’t have time for a relationship during my residency. It was all-consuming.”

He chuckled, shaking his head. “You’re telling me you spent all those years in college without a single date? That’s impressive.”

“It’s not like I didn’t try,” I replied defensively, leaning forward. “I had a secret admirer who kept sabotaging my efforts.”

“Wait, what?” Damien’s eyebrows shot up, intrigued.“You’re telling me someone was actually interested in you? That’s rich. What kind of sabotage are we talking about? Why didn't I know about this?”

”I don't know if I should be offended by you being shocked that someone is interested in me.”

Damien raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “A secret admirer? Sounds like a bad rom-com. What did they do? Leave you love notes? Send you flowers and chocolates?”

“No, worse. Whenever I tried to approach a girl, the next morning, she will receive a dead rat with a note. It was always signed with the initials S.Q.” I grimaced, recalling the bizarre incidents in the past.

“Wait, you’re serious?” Damien’s laughter died down, replaced by a look of disbelief. “Someone actually sent dead rats and threat notes? That’s messed up!”

“I know! It’s creepy!” I ran a hand through my hair, frustration evident in my voice. “I never figured out who S.Q. was. Just that they were determined to ruin my chances.”

Damien leaned in, curiosity piqued. “Did you ever find out who it was? Surely you have some suspects.”

I shook his head. “No, aside from the initials, I had no leads. It stopped after I graduated from med school. I thought I was finally free from it.”

“Maybe it was someone you knew,” Damien suggested. “A classmate, perhaps? Someone who felt threatened by your charm?”

“Or someone who thought they were helping me by keeping girls away,” I muttered, a hint of annoyance creeping into my voice. “It was just unnatural.”

For a moment, We fell into a contemplative silence, the weight of my past lingering. Till now, I couldn’t shake the feeling that the mystery of S.Q. might never truly be resolved.

"Well that's in the past but you can start new now, aren't you tired Adrian? Till now it seems you're still determined on maintaining that golden boy image of yours. Come on, loosen up! You're wasting your youth." Damien starts the conversation again.

...

Damien isn't wrong as I was truly regarded throughout his study as the golden boy of our batch.

The perfect student, Adrian Gabriel Raines, my professors branded me as a medical genius, well not to brag but my IQ score is 211. I am one of the world's youngest Andrologist and urologists holding two licenses at the age of 26, and I am also a social media fitness coach. My appearance isn't far from Damien, I have chiseled features having a strong jawline, sharp cheekbones, and piercing hazel brown eyes. A sensual lips, that others say to be full and inviting. I had a toned physique: a chiseled abs and a broad chest and shoulders. Standing at 6'1" with blond, perfectly messy styled hair.

Unlike Damien who has the mysterious charismatic aura, I'm known to have a sunny disposition and always wears a charming dimpled smile. My smiles make me famous also for girls during my school days. My voice is described as a sultry voice that is low, smooth, yet reassuring making my client comfortable in my presence.

My life seems perfect, I had everything except a complete and happy family. I am an only child and once lived a happy life but it turned upside down when my mother died in a rafting incident when I was seven years old. After just a year, my father married another woman which I later discovered his mistress. Whenever his father left for business trips, my stepmother maltreated me causing me a battered childhood... trauma and phobia. My father also died when I was 21 years old from an unknown illness. Though almost all the assets were left into my name.

...

"Tsk. What do you want me to do? Follow the path you take of treating a girl's pussy like a dish you feast on and jump from one to another." I tried to be blunt in an attempt to wake Damien from his crooked ways.

"Why not? It won't be hard for you after all just like me you were once a Casanova during med school" Damien just shrugged, seems to not mind his words.

"At the expense of putting everything I worked to achieve into the brink of collapse, all just for the call of flesh? No thanks, I don't have the drive to dance with fire like you."

"During college and med school the things at stake aren't that heavy, I can just get summoned to the disciplinary office or get suspended but now I can't afford to gamble my licenses."

"Blah, blah, blah. Sometimes I forget that I'm older than you. haha you're becoming too stiff." Damien said it seems unfazed with my reasoning. "Ha, I know you well Adrian, your golden boy and Mr. goody-two-shoes image might be enough to fool everyone but not me. I know that deep of that perfect facade lies darkness that you tried to conceal. Sooner or later those darkness will find the cracks."

"Who are you? I didn't know you were a poet?" I tried to diffuse the tense moments and distract Damien as the words pierced through me hardly.

Damien raised his eyebrows and smirked. "Just wait, Adrian, I can't wait to see your deep darkest secrets."

I sense an unsettling determination from Damien to discover my deepest and darkest secret.

I can't. I won't let him. I can't let him know my feelings. A feeling that is more than the usual best friend or brotherly affection. I want him to love me but I know that it's impossible because Damien is straight and never entertains any advances nor affection from the same sex. During med school, Damien sometimes accepts gifts from his girl admirers but never from admirers of the same-sex.

  • Chasing my Bestfriend × Lover   Chapter 114: All Mine (R18+)

DAMIEN'S POV My heart thrummed against my chest, a frantic drumbeat against my ribs, as I watched Adrian kneel before me. His lips, full and soft, were wrapped around my cock, and he let out a soft groan as the drug coursed through his veins, blurring the edges of his reality. His eyes, when they flickered up to mine, were glassy, unfocused, but there was something in them... a flicker of recognition, or maybe just confusion, something that made my stomach twist in a way that wasn’t entirely unpleasant.“What—what’s wrong?” I asked, my voice rough, deeper than I intended. My fingers tangled in Adrian’s hair almost instinctively, a familiar softness I hadn't felt in years. I tugged lightly, pulling Adrian’s mouth off me for a moment, needing to see those eyes, wanting to know what was going on inside that beautiful, messed-up head of his.Adrian shook his head, a slight tremor running through him. His breaths came in short, uneven gasps, each one a tiny tremor against my thighs. “I—

  • Chasing my Bestfriend × Lover   Chapter 113: Need a Release (R18+)

ADRIAN'S POVThe heat started as a flush, a pleasant warmth blooming in my chest after a sip of wine. I’d been nursing the glass for twenty minutes, trying to build up the courage to approach the guest of honor’s brother. Gayle had been my best friend for a year, but her family was on another level entirely. Tonight, at her lavish birthday banquet, I was supposed to finally meet the crown prince. Then the warmth curdled. It turned prickly, invasive. It felt like a thousand tiny ants were crawling just beneath my skin, a frantic, desperate itch I couldn't scratch. The crystal chandelier above bled into a smear of gold, and the polite murmur of the ballroom warped into a low, menacing drone. My vision swam."I... I need some air," I mumbled to no one in particular, setting my glass down with a hand that trembled. The short walk to the restroom felt like a marathon. Each step was heavy, my legs thick as cotton. I gripped the marble countertop of the sink, staring at my reflection. My pup

  • Chasing my Bestfriend × Lover   Chapter 112: Drastic Measures

DAMIEN'S POVThe clench in my gut was so tight it felt like a knot of barbed wire, twisting and tearing. Disgust. That’s what it was. A bitter, metallic taste coating my tongue, not from the expensive champagne I’d been offered, but from the depths of my own self-loathing.I stared at my reflection in the polished surface of the grand ballroom’s marble pillar, barely recognizing the man staring back. My jaw was tight, my eyes shadowed. I had stooped so low, lower than I ever thought possible. I was becoming the very person I’d once despised, the kind of person I’d always accused Adrian of being – selfish, manipulative, willing to hurt others for my own gain. My fists, already clenched at my sides, tightened further until my knuckles gleamed white. It was done. The order had been given, a discreet sum passed under the table to a server with eyes like a lizard and a smile that promised discretion. The drugged wine. Adrian had just taken it. A cold wave of panic, sharp and immediate, wa

  • Chasing my Bestfriend × Lover   Chapter 111: Meeting the Crown Prince

ADRIAN'S POVThe final notes of the waltz faded into the opulent air, leaving behind a shimmering echo of strings and a soft flutter of applause. Gayle, a vision in crimson and gold, leaned ever so slightly into my arm, her smile a beacon that outshone the ballroom’s chandeliers. I felt the familiar weight of the laurel crown on my blond hair, a delicate golden circlet that seemed to hum with the lingering magic of our dance. My suit, a deep maroon edged with intricate gold embroidery, felt less like fabric and more like a second skin, perfectly mirroring the rich, shimmering flow of Gayle’s gown.“You were magnificent, Adrian,” she whispered, her voice a warm caress against the hush of the room.“Only because I had the most magnificent partner,” I replied, my voice a little deeper than usual, trying to sound as regal as I felt. It was easy to get swept up in the fantasy. Here I was, Adrian Gabriel Raines, a man who usually spent his days poring over corporate reports, walking side-b

  • Chasing my Bestfriend × Lover   Chapter 110: Gayle's Birthday Banquet

DAMIEN'S POVThe snow outside Adrian’s window was a gentle whisper against the glass, but inside me, a storm raged. My knuckles were white, clutching the steering wheel of my parked car, the engine off, the air thick with my silent fury. Just moments ago, I’d watched Gayle, open the door to his house. Nothing unusual there, not really. But then, another man had stepped in, a stranger with a confident smile entered Adrian’s sanctuary. My breath hitched. Who was he? Why was he there? My mind reeled back to a time when I was the one Adrian welcomed inside without a second thought, the one whose presence was a silent understanding. Now, I was reduced to a voyeur, a shadow across the street, watching my past slip further from my grasp. It took a Herculean effort, a crushing weight of self-control, to stop myself from storming across the street, pounding on that door, and demanding answers. Every fiber of my being screamed at me to intervene, to protect Adrian, even though I knew the prote

  • Chasing my Bestfriend × Lover   Chapter 109: Meeting Carsen

ADRIAN'S POVThe world outside my window was a masterpiece of winter’s artistry, each snowflake a delicate brush stroke against the muted grey sky. I was precisely where I wanted to be: cocooned in my favorite oversized knit sweater, my feet tucked into fleece-lined slippers, a well-worn copy of ‘Saber’ resting open on my lap. The ceramic mug cradled in my hands warmed my palms, its rich, dark cocoa aroma mingling with the faint scent of old paper. A classical instrumental played low on the stereo, just enough to fill the quiet without being intrusive. This was my sanctuary, my perfect Saturday afternoon.Suddenly, a gust of frigid air pierced the cozy calm, making the sheer curtains billow as the front door swung open with a resounding thwack. My peaceful reverie shattered, I nearly sloshed hot cocoa onto my book. Before I could even register what was happening, a whirlwind of vibrant energy materialized in my living room.Gayle.She practically bounced through the threshold, a wide,
