Chapter 12.

Marcus was sleeping when he heard his phone ringing. He flicked the table lamp on and saw the time. 3 in the morning. He quickly picked up his phone to see an unknown number.

"Alferd". He hissed in his cold voice.

"Ohh. My apologies, did I disturb your peaceful sleep"? Marcus gritted his teeth listening to the sarcastic voice of Sean on the other end. He pulled on his boxers and left the bedroom to go to his study.

"A normal human being is usually sleeping at this time. But let me know how I can help you at this rush hour"? He said in an apparently calm tone.

"Nothing much to say but I was wondering if one of the number plates had not reached the check post. Any special reason for staying back"? Sean said in a serious tone that spoke of suspicions.

"If you could do a little work, the missing number plate had already crossed the border 1 hour ago. I think you were busy at that time. You can coordinate. And I would appreciate it if next time your men keep a logbook wit
