Why Did He Touch Her?

Damien's POV

I drove my car into the mansion and I furrowed my brows when I saw Tina pacing the corridor with a sullen look on her face.

I had left the girl in my room and rushed out early this morning for some political meeting.

I hope nothing is wrong with her. My heart tightened in my chest as I thought of what could be wrong.

Did she leave?

As soon as Tina saw my car, she rushed up to me with tears in her eyes.

I bit my bottom lip as she approached my car with her slutty outfit.

I had told her to stop dressing like this in the mansion.

I packed the car and got out of the car. Tina rushed up to me and started crying.

“Sir…” she wailed, shaking her legs and her boobs almost fell out of her dress as she shook.

I looked up from her boobs and at her face to see her eyes were red and puffy.

“What happened, Tina?” I asked, my heart throbbing as I prayed silently that she wouldn't say something had happened to the girl in my room.

“Sir Damien, it's Sir Daniel,” Tina cried as she threw her arms around my waist and hugged me.

I licked my lips as I tried to compress my irritation, she pressed her boobs against my tummy and I looked down at her and gritted my teeth.

Tina is fond of using every opportunity to get close to me and touch me. I have told her countless times to stop touching me, but she doesn't listen.

Anytime I threaten to fire her, she always talks about her sick old mother that she needs to feed.

She always takes advantage of my kindness and generosity to do as she likes, including dressing inappropriately around me.

I remember the night she screamed and ran into my room with just a towel on, shouting of a ghost and trying to creep into me in bed.

I had tried to drive her out of my room, when she let go of her towel and stood stack naked with me in my room alone that night.

It took so much self-control to hold myself, coupled with the fact that I hadn't tasted a woman in a long time.

That night she tried to hold and touch me, pleading to sleep in my room, because of the ghosts in her room.

I just pushed her out of my room and dumped her towel on her before I closed the door.

She stayed outside my room till the next morning. David asked her to come to his room instead, but she declined, and it was when I threatened her she told me she was sorry and that she would manage her haunted room.

“What did Daniel do?” I asked as I pried open her hand off my waist and pushed her away.

“He scolded me,” she said with a pout.

I breathed out relief as soon as I heard her reason.

Thank goodness it has nothing to do with that girl.

I looked up and saw her.

I froze as I gawked at her and all Tina was saying didn't even enter my ear.

Her blonde hair waved as she stepped out into the open, outside the mansion, her large green eyes fixed on me.

Her pale, soft-looking skin, that looked like it needed my touch, was slender under my big polo, and her slender legs.

Shit, why is there a bandage on her thigh?

I looked back up at her face and noticed Daniel was by her side, holding her hand as they stood far-off staring at me.

I looked down at the bandage on her thigh, and I was sure that it wasn't there in the morning.

Did she hurt herself?

I shoved Tina out of my way, and she staggered to the side with her mouth wide as I walked briskly to her.

She looked up at me and bit her bottom lip as I neared her.

I could hear her heartbeat. With every step I took near her, her heartbeat increased.

Why is her heart beating so fast?

I reached her and I stood in front of her with her eyes locked in mine.

I took her hand from Daniel and pulled her to the side with me.

Daniel glared at me as I took her away. She gave him a stare, and he smiled at her before she looked back at him.

“What happened to you?” I asked her softly.

She raised her brow and asked, “What?”

I touched the bandage on her thigh, and she shuddered as my finger got in contact with her skin.

“This… how did it happen?” I asked.

She kept mute and looked past me. I followed her gaze and looked at my back to see her looking at Tina, who held her head low, as she stared at her finger.

I furrowed my brow, “Did Tina hurt you?”

I asked and balled my fist.

Tina dared not do that, she would see the very worst of me.

I left her hand and turned to Tina.

“Tina!” I thundered, and she flinched and looked up at me.

“Si… Sir,” she stuttered her response.

“What happened to her?” I growled through gritted teeth as I slowly approached Tina.

“Sir, Damien… I poured hot tea on my thigh by mistake. Tina did nothing to me.”

I halted as soon as I heard her speak behind me.

“Serafine… what are you saying?” Daniel asked as he walked up to her.

Serafine?

Her name is Serafine.

Serafine turned to Daniel and blinked at him.

I stared in confusion at both of them.

Daniel turned to me, “Damien… she is fine now. I have already tended to her wounds.”

I gulped as I heard his words, “You did?” I asked as I looked at the big polo she wore. It was short and barely touched her mid-thigh.

That means he had touched her.

“Are you the one who brought me here last night?” she asked softly.

I nodded and tried to brush off the thought of Daniel touching her from my mind.

“Thank you for bringing her back home, Damien,” Daniel said with a smile as he took her hand, and I furrowed my brow.

“Back?” I asked out loud, “Do you know each other?”

I was about to ask her when my phone rang.

“Excuse me,” I said to her and I took out my phone from my pocket and saw that it was Henry on the line.

I walked to the side and picked up the phone.

“Henry… why are you calling me? I just left you a while ago,” I said impatiently to him.

“Sorry Alpha, but I have urgent information,” he said.

“Go on,” I said as I crossed my brows.

“I had spoken to the beta of the Fiery Fang pack and I discussed the fact that you didn't want war with them but peace.”

I nodded my head as I awaited his response, “Yes, go on?”

“They agreed to a meeting with you here in Freedom Pack… the meeting has been scheduled for the 15th of next month,” he concluded.

I nodded in satisfaction, “Good, let us hope the meeting does not turn into havoc this time around.”

“Yes, Alpha.”

I ended the call and dropped the phone in my pocket.

My jaw dropped as I saw a very rare sight.

David was slugging into the mansion through the gates looking so dirty and unkempt.

Dark circles in his eyes as he had his gaze down, and he walked in like he was tired of life itself.

Why is he looking so downcast? Where did he spend the night?

These men are really up to no good. What trouble did he get himself in now?

One of them put his hand on my girl and the other spent the night out, only to come back looking like he had run out of a rathole.

"You are free to choose your path, Abigail. You are stronger than his lies."The voice of Serafine sounded in my head-a small beacon of light tearing through the darkness that had consumed my mind for far too long. I felt the magic of Lucian clutching at my throat, seeking to snuff out the light, but something buried deep within me had started to stir-a truth hidden even from myself. The visions that had wracked my mind finally dissipated, and I saw Lucian's face, twisted in anticipation. He thought he had me, that he'd won, but he had no idea yet.I drew a deep breath and let the tumult of what was happening around us fade to a silent hush. Now or never. "You're right, Lucian," I said, willing my tone to stay even. "I do know what I must do."His face twisted in a triumphing leer. "Then fulfill your destiny," he hissed, reptilian.I met his stare, eyes slitting. "I already have."Before Lucian could even react, I harnessed a surge of magic deep within me and let it explode, shatteri

As we entered deep into the tunnel , the walls seemed to close in on us. Every step that we took resounded against the blackness. With every minute, the air grew heavier as we re-approached the stronghold of Lucian, taut with tension, as every step weighed upon me. I wasn't sure if I was ready to face him; there was just no more time left for doubts. The course of events that would ensue would seal my family's fate. and maybe even my own.As we emerged from the final tunnel, the entrance to Lucian's lair loomed ahead: a dark fortress built into the side of the cavern wall. Shadows seemed to gather around it, twisting and curling like smoke. A shiver crawled down my spine as we approached, but I forced myself to stay calm. We had a plan, even if it was full of risks. We burst through the main entrance, our magic flaring to life as we fought our way inside. The clash of spells and clash of swords was heavy in the air as Lucian's forces swarmed us. I fought beside Damien, my heart r

"We have to go after them!"Still, the last words of Damien were echoing in my ears when I finally found a moment to slip from the crowd. I pounded inside my chest, not just from the fight, but from the turmoil inside me-from Owen's betrayal-but something clanged furiously in my head. The storm at my center tore me asunder.Down a catwalk, I came to a small alcove where the darkness just about ate up any light. The cool stone walls bit into my back as I leaned against them trying to calm my breathing and the thoughts that raced through my mind. Just as I closed my eyes, a voice whispered from behind me in the dark."You look troubled, Abigail."My eyes flew open, and in that instant, my pulse shot up as finally the man stepped out of the shadows. The air seemed to have grown cold with his presence, his eyes shining with both mirth and something darker."What do you want?" I asked, trying not to let my voice show the shaking inside me.He leaned his head, lips curling into a thin s

"Make your choice."The lieutenant's voice continued to ring in my mind, even as I ran wildly through the tunnels, my breathing rough. My heart pounded in my chest, and for one wild moment, the dark temptation of his offer pressed upon me. Betray Serafine and the pack… save myself. It was a coward's choice, a traitor's path. But a small part of me, the part of me that had doubted whether I was strong enough to protect them-whispered that maybe it could be our chance. No, I told myself sharply. I couldn't let my mind go there. I pushed it away and refocused on finding the others. I would never betray my family no matter how bad things got.Rounding a corner, I nearly collided with Damien. Relief danced across his face to see me, yet was speckled with urgency. "Daniel, thank the Moon you're here. We need to regroup—Lucian's forces are closing in fast."I nodded and fell into step beside him as we sprinted down the tunnel. The sounds of far-off fighting got louder with every step.

  • Chosen By The Alpha Triplets   Chapter 93 - Daniel's POV

The earth around me opened with so much fierceness, a low rumbling that seemed to tear the very earth asunder. Before I could even turn, the ground had split, and I was tumbling into chaos. I landed on hard earth, the impact knocking the air from my lungs. It was all chaos, dust, falling rocks, the sound of distant shouting echoing off cavern walls. As I struggled to my feet, the dust began to settle and my eyes adjusted to the dim light filtering down from above.I froze, the image around me blurring as my mind tried to wrap itself around what was happening. We fell into some sort of large underground chamber, ancient and hauntingly beautiful. Strange symbols carved into the stone walls glowed with a silvery tint of light, unlike anything I had ever seen before. It was a relic left behind by some lost, magical civilization, long forgotten by the world above. But it was what was at the center of the room that took my breath away, there was some sort of pedestal, and on top of th

"Mom!"My own voice is returned in the darkness and the storm pounds until I feel the edge of exhaustion. The darkness courses through my body, shaking me to the core, threatening to swallow me whole in its depths. I pulled myself together, trying until I was suddenly aware that the air had shifted. The temperature drops, a coldness running down my spine. I sense him before I see him-Lucian.Lucian emerges from whirling shadows, stepping forward. Something authoritative in his figure, something coldly calm about the manner in which he advances through the chaos erupting in the air around us, draws my gaze irresistibly his way. Gleaming dark eyes fasten on me, a cold dread rising up in my chest. He raises a hand, and in but a gesture, the whirling storm around me begins to settle, as if even magic I struggle to grasp bends to his will."Enough of this, Abigail," he says smoothly, tone laced with a command. "Stop struggling with the man. You waste your breath on one not even worth
