Giovanni led Cielo into the room and she walked carefully inside. The neon light on the reading table was still on, giving the room a beautiful sensual feel. Giovanni walked into the room and sat on the table while Cielo took the only chair there.

“The time is late. It ain't safe to be moving about at night, now.” Giovanni stated after checking the time on his wristwatch and she huffed.

“Are you concerned for me?” She asked with a sly smile.

“No. I just don't want people dying every day,” he replied and she nodded her head slowly.

They stayed in silence for some seconds before she walked to the bin and picked up one of the folded pieces of paper.

“What is this?” she asked, holding the folded piece I'm front of the light.

“Nothing you should be concerned about.” Giovanni retorted sharply. He drew in a sharp breath and added more calmly, “I know you are trying to show that you care, I appreciate that, but I don't need it. I can take care of my shits alone.”
