LOGINKNIGHT
I settled into my chair like a throne, the worn leather, creaking beneath me as I stared down at the men who had made me be in here in the first place. My eyes, bloodshot from the continuous hunger, scanned the room. The men before me trembled, just as it was supposed to be. I could smell it, a pungent aroma that only served to intensify my madness. "I want blood," I growled, and I could hear their gritting teeth, "I want flesh." My neck snapped, the sound echoing through the chamber. My eyes gleamed with a feral light, I am not just a werewolf but a hybrid, born from a mother with dragon blood while my dad is a deadly dangerous alpha. The dragon blood coursing through my veins like liquid fire, it has always been him who takes over me mostly, he only gives my wolf the chance when we are to shift. It made everyone call me a beast. From childhood, I got so used to the name that I made everyone believe that it was my birth name. My head snapped toward them again, as I asked the question burning through my head. “Why did you call for a meeting!" My voice let out and the men exchanged nervous glances. One of them, a grizzled old man, who called himself one of the counselors, stepped forward. "Alpha, we mean no disrespect, but… We thought it was a good idea for you to take in a Luna. A mate to help you control your...condition." I laughed, the sound of a low, dangerous rumble, it is a sound that they all fear. “Condition?” I repeated and they were silent, "You think a mate can tame me?" I fired back and they all looked down, not able to meet my gaze anymore. “How dare you bring in the matter of a mate to me!" I roared and the men cowered, their tails between their legs. I glared at them, "How dare you tell me what to do?" I snapped, my neck twitching with the effort of containing my beast. “Oh…” I paused at this, “You want to bring in your daughter to become my mate..” they all shook their heads in unison, but they already made the mistake of speaking about the topic at first. With a swift motion, I sped off from my chair and reached out to the old werewolf. My teeth-baring, I slammed him against the wall with a bone-jarring crash “Al…. Alpha… we did…” his words were cut short as I snapped the old werewolf's neck. His body crumpled to the ground, the sound of his collapse echoing through the chamber. The other man's eyes widened and immediately they fell to their knees, pleading for mercy. “Alpha! Forgive us, we are sorry for crossing our limit!" They all yelled at once and I sneered. "We deserve death alpha! Please forgive us!” I let out another devilish laugh. "Death!” My voice echoed and they knew they had chosen the wrong word. "Since you want it then..” my leg sped through them, picking up the first man. Just as I was about to deliver the final blow, my door burst open, making my gaze move in that direction. “Who dares ruin my feast!" I growled and Brian my beta, sprinted into the room. “Him, again.." my beast grumbled, not happy with his appearance. “Can't wait to kill him," he let out again, and then I turned to Brian gritting my teeth. He stopped a few meters from me, noticing my beast was in control. "Alpha There is a stranger in our territory. An almost lifeless woman." I turned to him, my hands still outstretched, ready to strike. But something in his words gave me pause. A woman? Here? We don't have many women in my pack. No women from outside our pack want to be with our men because they believe we are a beast and their parents will quickly get them to be with other men instead. The few women in our pack are the ones who were produced before my reign, they are the only ones producing the women we have here. My beta approached me cautiously, his eyes locked on mine. "She… it seems she needs our help, she doesn't look like she could ha... " I kicked him backward, making him grunt in pain. “Kill her! I don't care!" I ordered, but it felt like my beta was sent to annoy me today. He sped back to me, “Try to see her for once, remember the saying.” I raised an eyebrow, at this, my neck tilted to the side, "Bring her to me." But before my beta could respond, a sweet, intoxicating aroma wafted into the room, capturing my attention. It was a scent unlike any I had ever encountered before, rich, heady, and irresistible. My head snapped up, my nostrils flaring as I sniffed the air. “Who owned this scent?” I growled, my wolf rising to the surface. Everyone was silent, not uttering a sound, as I sniffled around trying to grasp where it was coming from, then I recalled Brian’s words. “Bring her to me. Now!” Brian nodded, disappearing into the shadows. I waited, my senses on high alert, my wolf pacing restlessly beneath my skin. And then, she was brought forth, a delicate, porcelain-skinned woman with hair as brown looking all weak as they dragged her inside. She was unconscious, her body limp in the arms of the men who held her. My wolf growled, recognizing the scent as belonging to our mate. Never in my life have I ever felt so possessive, my dragon blood roaring to the surface. "Mine," he snarled, striding forward to claim my mate. The men trembled, releasing their hold on the woman as I snatched her from their grasp. I cradled her weak and small self in my arms, inhaling her scent, and immediately felt my bloody hunger finally sated, and my angry mood disappeared. But something caught my attention, blood around her neck, she was bleeding continually now staining my robe going mark on it, I leaned further and that smell wafted my nose. “Wolfsbane…” I whispered and snapped my head at Brian. "How did she get here?” I asked and he swallowed hard. "We don't know, Alpha. She just appeared at our border, unconscious." I glared at him, my eyes narrowing. "Find out who she is, how she got here, and who hurt her! Call the doctor!” “Wh… what… yo… you…” I glanced at him and saw that shocking gaze, I have never been this calm with someone so I understood his plight. “Will you call the doctor or do you want your head rolling on the ground!”!8 bellowed and he nodded. “I will call him… him.” he stuttered, scurrying off to obey my commands. I turned my attention back to the woman in my arms, my wolf purring contentedly as I held her close. She was mine now. And I would do everything in my power to protect her.KNIGHT POV(Fenris… Fenris…)My beast kept chanting it in my head like some overly excited pup, and honestly, it was becoming painfully annoying.(She named me. She named me. She named me!) He repeated, practically dancing in my skull.I pressed my fingers against my forehead. “Can you stop singing?”(Never. She called me Fenris, it's a beautiful name.)This was the first time I had ever allowed anyone to give my beast a name. I thought it would annoy me or make me feel weak. Instead, I felt… strangely whole. Balanced just like her voice was still echoing inside my chest. The memory of her face when she whispered the name kept replaying itself and my beast replayed it a hundred times louder.(Do you think she will say it again? Maybe whisper it? Maybe scream it?)“Shut up,” I muttered. My door swung open and Brian poked his head in, wearing the exact expression I wanted to punch.“Alpha…” he started, grinning ear to ear. “The future Luna calls for you to come eat.”A ridiculous warmth
SAGE POV“Knight!” I shouted, running after him. My feet slapped against the hallway floor, but he didn’t slow down. He just kept walking, I can't help but wonder how he would just give that order for them to be killed, I can't just sit and watch. I needed to do something but he isn't even giving me the chance.“Stop walking! You can’t kill them!” My voice cracked as I chased after him. “They have lives!”“Knight!” I screamed again, breath burning in my chest. “If you want me to be your Luna, then you should listen to me too!”That stopped him, and just like that, his entire body froze. I skidded to a halt behind him, almost crashing into his back.He turned slowly, and the look in his eyes told me I had stepped into dangerous territory. “No one,” he said quietly, “dares tell me what to do.”“You said you care about me,” I replied, forcing my voice to be rigid even though my pulse was trembling. “Then the least you can do is listen to me. I am the one they bullied.”Before I could b
SAGE POVIt was another morning spent doing what I loved, not because I had to, but because it gave me peace. The kitchen was quiet except for the soft bubbling of broth and the gentle hiss of oil in the pan. I stirred carefully, breathing in the delight that only cooking could bring. If I could get Knight to enjoy real food flavors, something human, it might remind him that he didn’t have to live on raw meat and cold instincts alone.Behind me, whispers broke through the rhythm of my thoughts.“That must be her,” a voice said, with mockery. “The rogue girl everyone’s talking about.”“The Alpha’s new favorite,” another added with a laugh that made me take a long breath.I had learned long ago that people’s words only had power if you gave them an audience. “She’s here again,” one said, her tone dripping with scorn. “Trying to act important because the Alpha eats her food now.”“Important?” the other echoed. “She actually believes she’s different. Poor thing doesn’t realize he’s bee
KNIGHT POVI was buried under a stack of reports when a soft knock came at the door. I didn’t even glance up until a familiar scent drifted in, warm and delicate, cutting through the stale air of my office. Instinct pulled me to my feet before my mind caught up. In seconds, I was at the door, swinging it open. There Sage stood, this was the first time she had come to my office. A tray of food trembled slightly in her hands, steam curling around her wrists. Her eyes flickered from the tray to me, hesitant, as though unsure if she had overstepped.“Why are you here?” The question left my mouth without thought.“Oh… I didn’t mean to disturb you,” she murmured. “You haven’t eaten all morning. I thought you might need this.”I stared at her, more startled than I wanted to admit. Food? In my office.? No one had ever done that. I rarely touched cooked meals at all… yeah I had eaten the previous one she cooked but I only did because I didn't want to tell her no now she is bringing me another
SAGEI wake in the middle of the night with a dry, hollow ache in my throat. The whole mansion is quiet, the kind of quiet that settles into the bones, so I pad down the hall barefoot to the kitchen, thinking only of cold water and the small relief it will bring. At the doorway to the living room, two voices stop me. One is low and taut with anger. The other is Brian, always the one who fills empty rooms with careless jokes.“I am frustrated, Brian,” Knight says. “Another rogue attack. It is getting worse and nothing we do seems to work.”I remember the last time he spoke like that, insisting the bodies were the rogues’ doing and not his. His words pull me toward the doorway and I freeze there, unseen.“I so badly want to kill those inside, my insider and the allies working with them,” he continues. “But I am worried about Sage.”At the mention of my name, it made stunned.“She might see me again at that moment. She will hate me,” he says. But the next minute Brian laughs too loudly.
Sage’s POVThe sound of the kitchen door creaking open made my heart skip a beat.I turned, still holding the wooden spoon in my hand, and froze when I saw him. Knight stood there in the doorway, tall and broad, his presence filling the entire room. His stormy eyes moved over me, over Tracy, over the mess we had made, and for a heartbeat I thought he would roar at us, order us out, demand his kitchen back. But he didn’t but he just stood there. And then, to my shock, he smiled. Not the cruel, mocking smile I had imagined someone like him having but a real smile. My chest tightened and for some strange reason, I hated that it made me feel something. I didn’t want to feel anything for him. I didn’t even understand him yet didn’t understand the way he thought, the way he ruled, the way he killed without hesitation, and still expected me to call him mate.I wanted a space but I couldn’t stop looking at him.“Hey, Knight,” Tracy called out softly, lowering the spoon. “How was the meeti
