LOGINKNIGHT
“Mate," my wolf grumbled and I looked back, then my beast scoffed. “We don't owe her any explanation, she isn't to be trusted either,” I have come to understand that my beast is still in the middle of accepting her or not. “Don't you dare hurt her," my wolf argued again it was the first time I had sent him that provoked “Sage.." I called but the look she gave was pure hatred and disgust. She shifted back, gesturing for me not to come closer to her, her outfit and face now stained with blood. I could tell she wanted to yell, but couldn't because of her voice, she was only hyperventilating as she shifted back still in a state of shock. “Hey, Sage.." Tracy calledgarbbing her hands but she yanked it off, her eye not leaving me. “I told you to control your anger, now see she is scared of us before she even knows she is our mate! Now explain that to her." My wolf flared up. He hardly Hutt in our conversation, this is the first time he is speaking so much. “Whatever, they deserve it." My beast retorted and I shook my head letting out a growl. “Stop!" I grunted, their argument almost making me go crazy. Then I turn to Brian… “Take these people away, and clean the mess up.” Sage looked down at the mess and I could see the fear in her eyes. Then she turned back, " Sage, I know you are scared but he must have done it for a reason..” Tracy tried to convince her but she shook her head and then typed on her phone. "I want to leave this instant, you scare me..” my eyes widened, reading this. I sped toward her with my hands moving to her neck in a rush. "Knight!” Trach yelled and that got me back to my senses. I stopped in front of Sage who fell to the ground in shock. I retract my hands and shut my eyes, “Take her back to the room, her dinner will be served there." Not looking back I stormed out of the pack house. My blood boils in rage, “I want blood..” those sounds kept echoing in my head. But my ruined mood worsened when I came across the three most respectable elders of the pack. “Alpha.." they all bowed in unison, I tilted my head, “Control yourself… you wouldn't want to piss Mum off.” my beast let out a little growl, the elders I hated most are these three standing before me. It's a pity I did not kill them so as not to piss off my mum. “Get out of my way," I ordered but they didn't move an inch, they wouldn't stop messing with me. Just then I felt Brian beside me, “I told you, that they had a meeting with you." He announced and gestured for me to relax, I just rolled my eyes at him. “I am busy now," I let out, about walking past but they stopped me again. “We heard a rogue was found in our territory and it is a woman, which you have decided to keep." I whipped my head at them, “You seem concerned… why? Is she the one who would turn out to be our Luna?” He pressed on. A chuckle escaped my lip at his words" What is the problem? You don't want her being the Luna… didn't you want a Luna a few days ago” "We do, but we can't just make a rogue Luna, so we will have to test her.” That was the only thing I needed to hear before my beast came forward. With the way they swallowed I could tell, they are already aware they dare not piss me off, my dragon blood works on its own, it doesn't succumb to me no matter how hard I try. “The only one who can hurt her is me, if any of you dare mess with her, trust me… you wouldn't live to see the next day.” I walked off immediately and I felt Brian trailing behind me, I was getting frustrated and I turned back at him "What is your problem? I want time alone! Don't lose your life one day because of your stupidity!” I warned and he smirked. "You asked me to find out more about her,” I halted my steps immediately. What have you seen about her?” I asked relaxing, " In your office..” I stared at him for a while without thinking twice as I headed back to my office. I sped into my office picking the file on my desk, and read it.. “Sage.." that was her name, no last name but just her name, I looked up at him to confirm I wasn't making a mistake. “Just sage?" He nodded his head. “She was found by the late Alpha Clarion…” I snapped up and he swallowed hard, “Yo… you can continue reading.” He let out "I looked down to read more, she was brought up by the late Alpha Clarion, of the Moonstone pack. My fist tightened, she was named by him, and she has been my best friend and even has a relationship with Zach. I squeezed the paper, in furry… “What the fuvk? Shs was in a relationship with that mother fucker!” I roared and Brian shifted back. She is my mate, which gives her the audacity to go be with another man who isn't me? “Alpha… we…” I tilted my head, " Was she sent here to spy on me?” I cut him off. “Alpha, I don’t think that… she was banished a few days ago because he caught her cheating.." my head tilted to his side. “What? Cheat.." “Yeah, it even turned out that she got pregnant, for the one she cheated with, and Zach found out on her coronation." Then I recalled Zach had invited me to attend his Luna coronation, even though I was pretty sure he never wanted me there, it was like some sort of respect. “So, she only has an innocent face, she is more than that," Brian nodded his head. “Maybe, we should just kill her off, to avoid future trouble," Brian suggested but with one look from me, he shut his lip. “It's an opinion…” he quickly clarified. “I would play whatever game she wants with her,” I let out and I noticed the look he shot at me. "After all she is our mate,” my beast growled, and just then my door swung open, only one person would do that that. " Knight..” her voice came in, and I was right. "What is the problem?” I asked irritatedly, "Sh… she is gone." My eyes narrowed not understanding her words or maybe I didn't want to believe it. “Who?" My voice growled out, “Sage… she escaped, she tricked me, and by the time I was back to her room she escaped."SAGE“Mate…” The word still echoed in my skull like a low, persistent drumbeat.I curled tighter on his stupidly soft, unfairly comfortable bed burying my face in the pillow that carried his scent.I inhaled again, hating how much I craved it and also still couldn’t wrap my head around it.I finally had a mate, and of all the wolves in existence, the Moon Goddess had chained me to the one everyone talked about, as if he were the devil wearing fur. The Alpha no one dared look in the eye for longer than a second. The one everyone counts as the monster. If my wolf hadn’t been locked away somewhere deep inside me silent, wounded, unreachable I might have had someone to scream at, someone to argue with about how insane this all was. Instead, there was only me, and the maddening pull in my chest that refused to let me hate him completely.Just then the door opened with a soft click. I didn’t need to look to know it was him.He stepped inside wearing nothing but a black tank top clinging to
SAGE The moment dinner ended, I reached for the plates without thinking, well it's a habit I was used to.My fingers barely brushed the edge of the dish when a hand closed around my wrist.“No.” I looked up to see Knight standing beside me, towering, his expression unreadable. “I just want to take these plates off,” I said softly, already trying to pull back. His hold tightened just enough to make the message clear. “You don’t do that here.”He released me and turned away at the sound of his phone vibrating. The glow from the screen reflected briefly in his eyes before his face hardened.“I need to take this,” he said. “Don’t move.”Then he was gone, his steps heavy against the floor.I exhaled slowly, only realizing then that I had been holding my breath.Tracy leaned against the table, arms crossed, watching me with an expression I couldn’t read. Then her lips curved into a small smile.“This is the first time I have seen my brother eat properly,” she said.I froze, fingers still
KNIGHT POV(Fenris… Fenris…)My beast kept chanting it in my head like some overly excited pup, and honestly, it was becoming painfully annoying.(She named me. She named me. She named me!) He repeated, practically dancing in my skull.I pressed my fingers against my forehead. “Can you stop singing?”(Never. She called me Fenris, it's a beautiful name.)This was the first time I had ever allowed anyone to give my beast a name. I thought it would annoy me or make me feel weak. Instead, I felt… strangely whole. Balanced just like her voice was still echoing inside my chest. The memory of her face when she whispered the name kept replaying itself and my beast replayed it a hundred times louder.(Do you think she will say it again? Maybe whisper it? Maybe scream it?)“Shut up,” I muttered. My door swung open and Brian poked his head in, wearing the exact expression I wanted to punch.“Alpha…” he started, grinning ear to ear. “The future Luna calls for you to come eat.”A ridiculous warmth
SAGE POV“Knight!” I shouted, running after him. My feet slapped against the hallway floor, but he didn’t slow down. He just kept walking, I can't help but wonder how he would just give that order for them to be killed, I can't just sit and watch. I needed to do something but he isn't even giving me the chance.“Stop walking! You can’t kill them!” My voice cracked as I chased after him. “They have lives!”“Knight!” I screamed again, breath burning in my chest. “If you want me to be your Luna, then you should listen to me too!”That stopped him, and just like that, his entire body froze. I skidded to a halt behind him, almost crashing into his back.He turned slowly, and the look in his eyes told me I had stepped into dangerous territory. “No one,” he said quietly, “dares tell me what to do.”“You said you care about me,” I replied, forcing my voice to be rigid even though my pulse was trembling. “Then the least you can do is listen to me. I am the one they bullied.”Before I could b
SAGE POVIt was another morning spent doing what I loved, not because I had to, but because it gave me peace. The kitchen was quiet except for the soft bubbling of broth and the gentle hiss of oil in the pan. I stirred carefully, breathing in the delight that only cooking could bring. If I could get Knight to enjoy real food flavors, something human, it might remind him that he didn’t have to live on raw meat and cold instincts alone.Behind me, whispers broke through the rhythm of my thoughts.“That must be her,” a voice said, with mockery. “The rogue girl everyone’s talking about.”“The Alpha’s new favorite,” another added with a laugh that made me take a long breath.I had learned long ago that people’s words only had power if you gave them an audience. “She’s here again,” one said, her tone dripping with scorn. “Trying to act important because the Alpha eats her food now.”“Important?” the other echoed. “She actually believes she’s different. Poor thing doesn’t realize he’s bee
KNIGHT POVI was buried under a stack of reports when a soft knock came at the door. I didn’t even glance up until a familiar scent drifted in, warm and delicate, cutting through the stale air of my office. Instinct pulled me to my feet before my mind caught up. In seconds, I was at the door, swinging it open. There Sage stood, this was the first time she had come to my office. A tray of food trembled slightly in her hands, steam curling around her wrists. Her eyes flickered from the tray to me, hesitant, as though unsure if she had overstepped.“Why are you here?” The question left my mouth without thought.“Oh… I didn’t mean to disturb you,” she murmured. “You haven’t eaten all morning. I thought you might need this.”I stared at her, more startled than I wanted to admit. Food? In my office.? No one had ever done that. I rarely touched cooked meals at all… yeah I had eaten the previous one she cooked but I only did because I didn't want to tell her no now she is bringing me another
