Hazel’s POV

I stood in the rain, feeling more alone than ever. The cold drops soaked my clothes, but the chill inside me was worse. I felt like a disgrace, tossed out by the only family I knew. No one wanted me.

Then, a memory flashed in my mind. The mysterious man had given me his number, telling me to call if I needed help. With shaky fingers, I dialed. “Hello,” I said when he picked up. “I…” My voice trailed off, lost in my sadness.

“Turn around. You’d see a black car. Come meet there,” he said. I turned quickly, and there it was—a sleek black car waiting for me. Hope stirred in my chest as I walked over and opened the door, stepping inside to escape the storm outside.

I sat in the front seat as the car pulled away. I took one last look at my father's house, knowing I might not come back after what I decided today.

In the distance, I noticed Adrian watching us through the window, with Thalia beside him holding his arm. A strong feeling of anger and jealousy washed over me.

They could finally be together; this was what they always wanted, right? Thaila, are you cold?" the mysterious man asked, bringing me back to reality. I turned away from Adrian and my memories to face him.

"Yeah, I'm a little cold, but I'll manage," I said softly. He nodded and kept driving, the car filled with silence.

Alpha Draven’s POV

I struggled to find the right words, knowing she had been through something really tough. As I glanced at her face, I noticed a fingerprint mark on her cheek.

Someone had hurt her, and that thought made me feel angry. I gripped the steering wheel tighter and drove faster. After a moment, I saw her eyes close, her head slowly drooping to one side.

"Hazel!" I called out. "Hey, Hazel, can you hear me?" No answer came; her eyes stayed shut. Worried, I reached over and touched her neck, feeling that she was burning up.

“Shit," I muttered under my breath, panic rising in me.

Without thinking twice, I slammed on the brakes, swerving toward my private suite as fast as I could while grabbing my phone. "Noah, where are you?" I shouted, my heart racing with fear.

"At the pack, Master Draven. Is something wrong?" Noah’s voice was filled with surprise; he had never heard me sound so frantic.

“Just come over to my private suite. I’m bringing someone," I replied before hanging up, my focus shifting back to the road. Moments later, I arrived at my suite, the rain lightly drizzling on the stone path, creating little puddles that splashed beneath my feet.

I scooped Hazel up effortlessly, carrying her into my private room. I quickly found some dry clothes, gently removing her soaked shirt and replacing it with something warmer before laying her down on the bed.

“Noah, keep her safe. I can’t lose her," I urged, desperation in my voice. The old doctor nodded slowly, his expression calm and reassuring, ready to help.

I sat there, anxiety gnawing at me. The thought of losing her was unbearable. I recalled the old witch's warning, whispering to myself, "No, not after everything I've done."

Just then, Noah stepped out, his face steady and calm. I always found it hard to read him, which made me uneasy, but I knew Noah was the best doctor among werewolves.

"What’s going on?" Draven asked urgently.

“Take a breath, Master Draven. It’s just exhaustion, exposure, and a few other issues," Noah replied, his tone soothing.

“A few other issues? Like what?" Draven pressed, worry creeping into his voice.

"Well, she has some damage to her right foot. It looks like physical trauma and several cuts that weren’t treated properly have caused some deformity in her leg," Noah explained.

"And it seems she hasn’t called on her wolf in a long time. She really needs to rest to recover," he said, his eyes serious.

“And lastly, she’s with child,” Noah concluded.

“What do you mean she’s with child?” I asked, unable to comprehend what I just heard.

I just couldn’t shake the thought—how could she be with a child? Her parents? Surely they would have known but they still threw her out with nothing on her name.

Questions swirled in my mind like leaves caught in a storm. Did they abandon her, or were they simply unaware of the life growing within her? Each thought tugged at me, making the air feel heavier.

“With the way everything is, I think she had a miscarriage a few months ago, wherever she was. She wasn’t treated properly also.”

“I found out she had a vanishing twin syndrome where she was pregnant with twins but lost one of the children while the other one lived without her knowing.” I was completely confused by what he just said.

I had never heard such a thing since I was born. How come? I thought. I was actually short of words. “Make sure she’s okay,” I instructed, my heart racing with concern.

Noah met my gaze, determination in his eyes. “I’ll check on her later,” he promised. I knew this was going to be very hard for Hazel after everything that was going on in her life right now.

Being rejected, abandoned, and now discovering she was still pregnant would be really hard to take in, if at all she knows about it already. Noah was an expert and also a friend, so I trust him.

I have to make sure she gets all the care she needs because I need her more than she can ever imagine. She has to be okay for me to be okay. Today was really a hectic one, so I went back to my room, trying to rest for the day.

I sat in my room, lost in thought. Everything felt so strange. I had been gone for a long time, and getting used to everything again would be tough. But deep down, I was happy to be back.

I tried to shake off my worries, but my thoughts kept returning to Hazel. She was always on my mind. She seemed so innocent, and I couldn’t understand why her family treated her so badly.

What could she have possibly done to deserve this? It didn't seem fair at all. Aside from that, there were so many things I needed to handle since I had returned fully, but for now, I craved a good sleep.

Just then my phone beeped, and when I looked at it, it was a new message from an anonymous person. "Hello handsome, heard you're back, and I can't wait to see you." Just from reading, I knew who it was.

Maddy's POVWe continued our walk towards the small gazebo, and the rest of the walk was filled with a comfortable silence between us. I tried my best to focus on the vibrant flowers and the sweet scent of the garden, but it only reminded me of his presence here earlier. His sweat-stained skin was glistening in the sunlight as he worked diligently. I scolded myself internally, desperately trying to push those thoughts away. The pathway to the gazebo seemed longer than usual, each step extending the silence that hung between Hazel and me. I didn't want her to think I had any interest in that arrogant jerk, Jason. But it seems that no matter what I say, she refuses to believe me. I wish I could erase him from my mind entirely, but he won't budge. As we finally reached the gazebo, I let out a small sigh of relief as I slumped down carefully to the chair on my side while Hazel took the one opposite mine. It provided a momentary distraction from my thoughts, and I focused on the elegant

Maddy's POVHazel's eyes widened in surprise, and her voice was filled with disbelief. "Maddy, you must be talking about Jason! Draven’s best Warrior."I blinked, realising that I had inadvertently described Jason. "Yes, it's Jason. That's his name. How did you know?"Hazel laughed, shaking her head. "Well, Maddy, you just described him perfectly. And I can't believe it, but it sounds like you might be attracted to him!"My cheeks flushed, and I quickly shook my head, denying Hazel's assumption. "No, no, no! I could never be attracted to him. He's just so annoying, and I can't stand his teasing! It's like a new way to tease me pops up in his head every time I say a word.”“Can you believe that while trying to help him escape, he kept teasing me every step of the way? That's low-key bullying, if you ask me."Hazel raised an eyebrow, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Maddy, you're blushing! Are you sure you're not attracted to him?" I stammered, feeling my face grow even hotter. "N-No!

Maddy's POVWith a skip in my step, I made my way outside. As I walked through the garden, marvelling at the blooming, colourful roses and the fluttering butterflies, something unexpected caught my attention. My heart skipped a beat when I saw a familiar figure in the distance. It was Jason, whom I had helped escape from his cell not too long ago.He was shirtless, his muscles glistening with sweat as he worked out in the open. I couldn't help but stare, my eyes widening at the sight. I wasn't used to seeing someone so fit and strong up close. It was like something out of a movie! And I momentarily began comparing his flawless upper body with Zac's body. And I had to confess that Zac couldn't even be compared to Jason. To my surprise, I noticed a few maids nearby, trying to sneak glances at Jason while pretending to be busy with their tasks. Their giggles and whispers reached my ears, making me realise that I wasn't the only one who found him attractive. But then the thought that t

Draven's POV"Katherine, I need you to stay in the mansion for a few more days," I commanded. "Look after Hazel; keep a watchful eye on her. I don't want her to be alone during this time."She hesitated for a moment, her eyes searching mine for reassurance. Eventually, she nodded, accepting her assignment. "Alright, Alpha Draven. I'll stay and ensure Hazel and Ashe's safety.”But I'll have to leave tomorrow morning and bring a few of my assistants and my work stuff. Is it possible to take a few maids with me for assistance?" She asked."You can," I assured her. "Thank you, Katherine. Your support means a lot to me." With a nod, Katherine left the room, leaving me alone with my thoughts. The weight of the situation settled heavily on my shoulders, and I knew that the days ahead would be filled with uncertainty and challenges, mostly for Hazel and Ashe.As I made my way back to my room, my mind raced with questions. What did this mean for our future? How would the pack react when they

Draven's POVShe looked calm, her facial expression indifferent, so I couldn't make out if what I was about to hear was good or bad news. "Well?" I demanded, my voice echoing in the hallway. "How is she?"Katherine sighed, turning to look at me. "This is quite unusual, but then that shouldn't be surprising as nothing is normal about Hazel's pregnancy," she began."What is?" I asked, my impatience growing."Hazel is fine," Katherine said quickly, seeing the panic in my eyes. "The pain was caused by the baby shifting in her womb."I frowned, not understanding. "Shifting? What do you mean?" What does she mean by the baby shifting? Does she mean changing positions in the womb? But Hazel is just 2 or 3 months pregnant, and the baby shouldn't be able to do that just yet.Katherine sighed, her gaze softening. "All werewolves are born in their human forms. But it seems that Hazel's pup had shifted right inside her tummy. It's very rare; in fact, it has never been recorded. Especially given t

  • Claimed By Alpha Draven   Chapter 96

Draven's POV "Hazel?... Hazel!" I gasped in fright, my heart racing uncontrollably as I saw her clutch her belly. Her eyes were all foggy, and they were drifting shut as if she were about to fall asleep. But I knew better. This wasn't sleep; it was something far more frightening. "Maddy!" I heard myself calling out. It was instinctual, a desperate plea for help. Hazel was in pain, and I didn't know how to make it stop."What's happening?" Maddy asked when she rushed into the room. Her eyes were wide and terrified as she looked between me and Hazel."Stay out of this!" I snapped, harsher than I intended. I didn't trust Maddy, not yet, as I still hadn't cleared my doubts about her just yet, and the last thing I needed was her meddling. But my words made her freeze like a deer caught in headlights, and she stood there awkwardly in my way. "Move!" I growled, manoeuvring around her with Hazel cradled in my arms. Maddy jumped back, her face pale. I carried Hazel upstairs, her whimpers o
